A book of thank yous to the farm for all it provides. A simple and colorful book that will help children appreciate where their food and clothing comes from.
Teaching our children gratefulness is the beginning of emotional good health. There is so much on a farm to be grateful. It also is a way to teach what there is to be grateful. To look at the world, people, circumstances and see the many things to be grateful. It creates a happy child. The illustrations are colorful and the message is needed for all ages.
A special thank you to Storey Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review
Such a cute board book with bright and colorful illustrations. A book to thank everything on the farm including the farmers. I definitely recommend it. A fun books for early readers. Thanks to #netgalley for the early reader's copy.
I have previously read the works of this author and found it stimulating for its target audience on the whole. However, I wasn't as enamoured with this title, though probably for petty reasons.
The book follows an unnamed little girl around as she thanks various things on the farm and tells them why. It is a good model of displaying verbal respect and gratitude.
The pictures were vibrant yet simple appealing to newborn to around 3yos. The quirky font was also pitched just right especially where they were highlighting the key words of the sentence and accompanying illustration.
Overall, I would rate this book a 4/5 stars but would probably loan it from the library as opposed to purchasing.
This book is fun to read with its adorable illustrations and just enough information. I'm sure many children would like to learn more about farms after this.!
Thank You, Farm was much like Thank You, Tree. Thank You, Farm was beautifully illustrated and had a great message for early readers to learn gratitude for what farm animals, the earth and farmers provide. I would have liked to see an activity similar to Thank You, Tree at the end of the book for children to identify more ways to be thankful for farms or what they can expect to find at a farm.
I would recommend this book for early readers but would love to see that activity at the end of the book.
Thank you to NetGalley for the digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you to the author, illustrator, publisher, and Netgalley for access to this book in exchange for honest feedback. I read the other Thank You book, which was about trees. I have similar feedback to give about this book: the illustrations are amazing! I think the illustrator really should be celebrated for some great art. I spent more time thinking about how talented artists are nowadays than anything when reading through this. I think, once again, these books are pretty cute! I was wondering if they would put some of those "can you find X" at the end of this one like they did in the other, but I didn't see anything. Either way, pretty cool!
This was an adorable board book that teaches kid about some things they might love that come from farms. I loved the art style and the rhythm of the words, and this cute read will be both informative and fun.
So sweet! Definitely purchasing when this is published! I love books about gratitude and really enjoy the diversity in these illustrations! Well done!
Thank You, Farm is a beautifully illustrated board book to teach children about farms and what is produced by the animals and farm. This is an excellent book for toddlers to help them understand where milk, eggs, honey, etc. come from. The illustrations are vibrant and whimsical and each page is simple to follow.
Thank you Storey Publishing and NetGalley for providing this ARC.
This is a cute book with only a few, large words and lots of pictures. It’s nice for young children learning to read and the pictures are adorable!
