I really liked this book. I haven’t read a book like this before and I really enjoyed it. I think I will put this author on my auto buy.

This was a quick read for me, which I unfortunately did not enjoy as much as I thought I would have. It had a few of my favorite tropes: marriage of convenience, enemies to lover, etc. But, the characters felt very one dimensional and the story wasn't fleshed out as much as it could have been.

The heroine, Chiara, was so intense, almost in an uncomfortable manner. It was as if the author was vehemently against the stereotypical heroines in mafia romances and wanted to do something completely opposite. And she did succeed, but I feel like that's all there was to it. I didn't mind the hero, Luca, as much. He was not what i was expecting, but still a nice character.

The characters' attraction had an element of insta-love, which I am not a fan of, so I did not enjoy their love story as much as I would have liked to. It wasn't a bad story, just not meant for me.

This book was just okay for me. I knew who the real bad guy was almost right away and everything happened way too fast. Also Luca kept saying how smart Chiara was but I just never it. I think she should have fleshed out the characters a little more and it would have been much better.

I am so sorry but I've no desire to go through with another book of this series after reading the first book, It was awful. I hated those character and the plot too. The author had a really different concept about Mafia Romance I think. At least that's what it seemed in the first book. You might think I should give her another chance but I'm not ready for another disappointment. If only I had read the first book before requesting for this one.

I liked this book a lot. The plot is fast and well written. I connected with the characters. When in doubt, read a Mafia book. You'll never be wrong.

I would like to say that this is the first time I am a reading a product of Anna Ray. Also, this is the third book in the Mafia series. From my research, the books is not interconnected and can be read as a stand alone.

The couple in this book is Chiara Fiore and Luca Mendacius. Chiara is the only daughter out of five siblings in rivalry to become the heir to the Fiore family. Luca is a tech mogul that’s after Chiara’s hand in marriage. Their love story is based around the concept of an arranged marriage, but not really. It is more optional and not forced. It’s not really an enemy to lover troupe either because do they really hate each other or is it just miscommunication that occur during the plot. The couple’s love story is quite sweet. However, I felt the way the heroine was supposed to be perceived was not how she was written. Chiara is considered smart and not an easy bimbo, but her character was easily swayed with all of Luca’s attempts.

The plot line of the story resembled almost like 365 days. Not the actual plot line of 365 days, but the writing style. The story had a lot of courtship between the couple and very little plot in actuality. The last 5 chapters of the book was basically the storyline. The writing style of the author fits more of a young adult/teenage read than an adult romance fiction. The book was written in dual point of view with the character’s name as the chapter title to let the readers know.

The “romance” scene was not very steamy. I will never judge on the amount of romance scenes in a book, but more the quality of the scenes themselves. There are about 3 sexual scenes per se in the book. However, the scenes are very brief. This is more of quick love session more than page turners, shy to read around the public. The scenes were all “vanilla” and the most intense thing was when Chiara said please.

The ending of the book was well written and ties everything together. Everything was explained thoroughly.

With that being said, I give the book a 3 out of 5.

Enjoyable read, I loved that Chiara had ambition and drive, especially in an institution that is so male dominated. Luca was a bit lightweight of a character to me, he felt like too good of a guy to be leading any family in the mafia.
Overall a good read

I expected to really not like this book, but I pushed through and found that I actually kind of enjoyed. It's a very cliché story- power hungry mobsters fighting for control of the underworld, but with a little sprinkle of love, sex and mystery. It's also a very quick read, which definitely attributed to my liking and finishing it.

I enjoyed this. I like a good romance where boy and girl meet and don't like each other but end up together. Mixed with a bit of mafia drama, this made for an entertaining read. It was fast paced and maybe the love story could have been drwan out a bit but that made it easy to read. It is simply written and had me eye rolling the first few pages but I soon got into the story and thought it was a great easy read.

I love a good mafia story- and if you mix that in with a steamy romance? Count me in!! This was a wonderful story, an old school mafia story- one of an arranged marriage, adoption, alcoholism, murder, romance, and insanity. A great combo if you ask me:) The characters in this story were strong willed, confident and a little selfish, but they loved big and you could see that love for each other. This was a steamy romance mixed with a mafiosa style whodunnit. Do yourself a favor and give this a read!!

I could not get into this book for the life of me. It felt very insta-love (which isn't always a bad thing) to me and I couldn't vibe with it which is a shame as I usually like Mafia books. I liked the premise of it but it was just missing something to keep my enjoyment.

I really liked this book.I am on a mafia books kick lately so this was the perfect book for me to read. Luca and Chiara story is doesn't have the easiest start, her father is marring off for money so he can pay off his dept and Luca is after revenge. He is convinced her father killed his parents. With all the twist and turns, all the people they trust and they shouldn't they end up in love. It was interesting book to read

This was my first time reading this author. While I think the them of arranged marriages are numerous, the author did a good job developing the characters and providing an element of surprise.

I loved the concept since I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers and in that, arrange marriage.... That's my jam.

So, obviously, I'm feeling weird giving this read a 2 star. Why?

Because the best thing in the book was the main villain and all the mystery that I was shocked to find.

The romance between the main characters felt more on the insta love side and the scenes between them could've been more adventurous.

The writing is plain and simple, just how like my romances and I may read more by the author in future if she gives another chance to enemies to lovers.

Your average guilty pleasure read! Relatively likeable characters, and although yes the plot is cliche, it is cliche for a reason!! Definitely recommend for fans of these tropes

exchanged for my honesty. I found this book to be enjoyable. Truth be told I found it to be a little lacking, when you read mafia you expect domineering and underhanded dealings. We had underhanded but there was tithing to sinister here. Therefore I only gave it four stars.
I mean the story flowed just not the way I’m used to for mafia books. The characters where as they should be a bad guy, a man and women who fall in love, and their eager families who want resolution. I think this could be even better if they took it back to the drawing board and changed some things. Maybe make it a bit longer and add some evil to it.

A smart woman who thinks that the mafia's rule about a woman is incapable of handling the mafia's business is completely ridiculous, was asked for her hand in marriage when she finally joined the family's business meeting. She is in-complete shocked that her family had agreed to marry her off to a stranger. Would she accept his proposal and fall for his trap? Or would she be able to turn the table back?

Honestly, this story was so good! The chemistry between the main characters is incredible and surprisingly, they have a lot in common. I absolutely love the progress of their relationship and how they take their time to get to know each other on their dates. One of my favorite things in the story was their sunset balloon date! It was stunning and lovely and I'm completely in awe of them.

The storyline is great and the plot twist left me so shocked. It's amazing how the characters are connected with each other. The spiciness of this story is just two couples in love with each other but I love it! It's very sexy but not spicy enough if you know what I mean. But what's lacking in this book is more of the mafia scenes, it didn't have much mafia things as much as I thought it would be. All in all, I still love the story so I congratulate the Author Anna Ray for the great work! I can't wait to read her other books as well!
