A lovely addition to the Little People, Big Dreams series. The story of Hans Christian Andersen gives young children the message that they can do anything, emphasises the importance of imagination and dreams and gives reassurance that obstacles can be overcome. The illustrations are whimsical and very fitting for the story.

Another great addition to the Little People, BIG DREAMS collection.

This is a short biography of Hans Christian Andersen, a young boy with a big imagination, who grew into a man who used this imagination to write stories for both children and adults all over the world to enjoy.

I love the diversity of the people featured in this series. Musicians, artists, athletes, authors, activists, explorers and scientists.

These biographies are age appropriate; inspiring and interesting, but not overwhelming. They have bright, beautiful illustrations, striking covers, and look great on a shelf together.

Thank you to Quatro Publishing Group and #NetGalley for an advanced copy.

A great book for kids, beautifully illustrated and well-written. I like the way it is structured into a story and then a fact file. Perfect way to introduce children to important figures in history and inspirational too!

Thank you to Frances Lincoln Children’s books /Quarto Children’s and Netgalley for the earc to read and review.

What a sweet book on the one of the most imaginative people in history, his stories touch everyone, open up their minds to imagination as they did to him. I love how easy to read these stories are they get to the point and make it a fun and clear way to learn about someone important.

I loved that this was about Hans Christian Andersen his legacy will never end because his stories will always be relevant, I love that this books gets to showcase all about his life, his dreams and that it wasn’t as easy to get where he did.

I didn’t know all the facts within this story so it was really incredible learning about his early years, his school and his work years things that I didn’t really know much about. It’s so wonderful that children can learn about so many people in this way, with the beautiful illustrations and the facts being so easy to understand. I love it.

I did find there was one element of Hans’ life that got forgotten in this book and that was that he travelled to share his stories as children gathered around him in small towns. He was a very kind man who told his stories because he loved them. I wish that had been included, especially as in this story it says about his only audience was his mother but eventually it wasn’t just her.

I love this book, and I love this series. I will always recommend these to anyone not just to young children. You can learn so much about people in such short book like this.

I picked up this one because I was introduced to Hans Christian Andersen fairy tales from an early age, and simply grew up with them.

I definitely didn't know some of the things in his life, so it was good to learn what inspired him on his journey.

Of course, this is a fantastic book to illustrate love for books, story-telling and writing. It would be one story to show how love for books is born.

Through Andersen's life story, we are also told that it's never too late to do what you love, and that you can never predict when and how things will happen for you, just like Hans couldn't.

One of my favourite illustrations from the book was the stories flying all around, through the windows of people's homes. It really is like that. Andersen's stories touched so many people around the world, it would be a blasphemy not to know at least something about this amazing artist.

I absolutely love this series of books, so I jumped at the chance to get an early copy of this one on Hans Christian Anderson in exchange for an honest review.

The first thing I noticed was the illustrations - they felt very 'Mr Punch' - considering its the same illustrator as other books in the series, this surprised me. I don't know if this was a conscious choice as the story is set in Denmark - and doing that to the images was in keeping with the style?? But I wasn't a fan. The illustrations backdrops were beautiful but the way it represented Anderson felt a little odd.

I genuinely didn't know that Children's Book Day is on his birthday - I really liked that and I liked learning something new.

I don;t feel like this book had much plot or much to say like the others in the series.
Definitely not my favourite, and hoped to learn something more and new about his life - I didn't!

I received an advance copy of, Hans Christian Andersen, by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara. Hans grew up poor but with a vivid imagination. On April 2nd Hans birthday we celebrate children's book day.

Yet another lovely book from this series of books - I have not yet been disappointed with any of these books, and this one was not an exception.
Although they are aimed at children , as a 38 year old , I feel like I learn so Much.
