Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing this book in exchange for an honest review.
I had a hard time reading this book, not because of the content but the writing style made it now flow as well as it could've. I do admire this father/daughter duo creating this book and I hope it was therapeutic for them. C-PTSD is a fascinating topic and affects so many people.
I am giving this book three stars alone just for taking about trauma and mental health. That is a topic that I myself have not seen often. Unfortunately for me I did not like the writing style so I felt that this book was not a good fit for me, but I can see others enjoying this book and finding it helpful.
This was a beautifully written book and like stated it is a very difficult read. There aren’t many books on C-ptsd, especially first-hand accounts, so I was interested to read this. Another thing I loved was that it’s written by a father and daughter, so we get the firsthand account and the perspective of a loved one. Ultimately, it’s a story of hope, but also acknowledging the fact that the healing continues. Thank you to the publisher, Netgalley and the author for the opportunity to read and review this book.
