“Hercules Intergalactic Agent #2: The Intruder“ the story by Zabus, and Art by Antonello Dalena is a graphic novel about a school set in space.
Hercules and Marlon are in their second year of school and the adventures continue. When their teacher is bitten by a strange alien creature and changes, they need to stop it from happening to everybody else.
This was a fun space adventure, but I liked the first volume a little better. The art is solid, and the alien creatures are zany. This is a good read for young sci-fi fans.
the characters are hilarious, and the plot hits this great balance between silly humor and drama. you really care about these characters and their struggles, even when they occasionally behave foolishly. a fun-filled adventure, with more great installments to come!
This was an ok read possibly for a younger audience. The artwork was good and so was the colouring. It was an interesting story, not really any 'wow' moments but still a pleasure to read.

Hmm, another really short story that was resolved super quickly. The cliffhanger just made me go like 'how?!?!?!' and I don't know if I want to pick up any of the sequels (unless I can find them on NetGalley as I did with this one).
Apparently, Hercules Intergalactic Agent: Book 2 The Intruder is the second book in a series that I was unaware of, I only realized after I started reading and saw the tiny “book 2” that was sighed an audible “oops.” Thankfully it’s honestly pretty easy to grasp what was happening despite missing the “first episode” as it were. It tells the story of a couple of underdogs, bottom of their class, students at an intergalactic agent school.
“Hercules and Marlon are in their second year of intergalactic agent school and they still have a lot to learn! But when their teacher is bitten by a strange alien creature, they’ll need to put down the books and leap into action because the sickness affecting Teach seems to be spreading throughout the school…”
While this isn’t really meant for kids, as it alludes to cursing a few times, the messages in the book would be good for a kid’s book – never judging a book by its cover, and having compassion for all living things. It has a pretty strong allegory to the recent string of migrant and asylum seeker crises that have arisen as of late, which makes it a pretty forward thinking book. The allusions could be a tad heavy-handed, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. The art is fun, and it reminds me of something from the 80’s Heavy Metal movie.
I enjoyed this. Nothing new and exciting, but the art really is what sold me here. Although I was really confused since this is the second volume but this made it so fun to kind of guess about what happened earlier in the series.
