In Harm’s Way is an understatement. This is a book about terrorist bombings in England initiated not by the usual suspects but by former army officers. It is very well researched and has a pace designed to hold the reader’s attention. The key figure is Sara Eden of uncertain background and the cause of disagreements amongst relevant agencies such as MI5 and GCHQ . Some do not want to include her, others think her contribution is indispensable. The resulting tussle is typical of government agencies. The key to Sara’s contribution is her psychic ability. She can read someone’s past and infiltrate their thinking simply be touching them or a photograph of them or one of their possessions. That is obviously rather useful in tracking down terrorists as she does in this story and no doubt current agencies would value her! The problem is it’s not credible which requires the reader to take a leap of imagination. Nevertheless the book reads well, I recommend it.

Exactly my type of book, Waterman the head of GCHQ is tasked with working with Sarah who has a unique power!! He is very sceptical at first of her psychic powers but more and more she shows how good she is, so when lives are threatened and terrorists are in force can he rely on Sarah and her power to save the day!! Exciting page turner I was gripped from start to finish

A different kind of British spy thriller with a supernatural twist with a new kind of super agent risking her life in order to avoid disasters and save lives. Looking forward to what I hope should be the start at a new series.
