If this book were a novel, there would be cries of “too far-fetched” and “just not credible.” But it’s not a novel; it’s a memoir, an autobiography by a remarkable man recounting his remarkable life. Born of a complicated heritage, by the time he reached adulthood Patrice Saiman had seen more and done more and had more experiences than many of us achieve in a lifetime. It’s almost impossible to sum up his life in a few sentences, so I’m not even going to try. The book is a captivating read, very well-written, truly compelling.
