This book was a fantastic read, lots of twists also didn't predict the ending, will be recommending

I found this book to be an interesting and enjoyable read, very twisty and I didn't work the ending out. There were many red herrings suggesting who the villains were and I suspected many characters but was ultimately surprised by the resolution of the story. A good read - recommended.

An incredibly well-deserved five star read, that I didn’t have to consider my star rating for!
Dramatic, intense, and powerful, this book is very highly recommended to anyone who likes thrilling anticipation and riveting storylines of a high standard domestic thriller. Make sure you have a few spare hours when you start reading this, it is extremely difficult to put down.
Engaging from the very first chapters, this pulls the reader in with the confirmation that Marissa’s son Milo is missing from the playdate where she expected him to be after school. This is written really well, and the anguish Marissa experiences as the mother of a missing child, is very believable and my heart ached for her.
As the plot evolves, full of twists and turns throughout, I was particularly impressed with the shocking conclusion. It was brilliantly executed, and I read it with my mouth open (to the point my husband commented on my “trance-like-state!”) Unfortunately, it is hard to say much more without adding spoilers, so will keep it brief...
If you come across this book, definitely pick it up…you will not be disappointed!

I enjoyed this but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. From the blurb, where Marissa arrives to pick up her son from a playdate but the woman who answers the door isn't anyone she recognises and she doesn't have Milo, I was expecting a psychological thriller with Marissa questioning her own sanity. But, it was more a domestic drama as it quickly became clear who'd taken Milo and it was just the why that unfolded. Don't get me wrong though the why was pretty powerful and intoxicating reading - it was twisty, turny, tense, fast-paced, shocking and I certainly didn't see that ending coming! It was a complex plot, with lots of characters and many parts that don't really add any thing to the story other than to mislead you, but it was very original, cleverly wrapped up and overall a good read.

I really wanted to love this book, because Andrea Mara’s writing style is engaging and easy to read, and yet I have found myself floundering around the halfway mark. Whilst I felt really engaged in the mothers’ perspectives and the politics at the school gate, I am struggling to read the POVs of the “villains”, i.e. Carrie and her equally unlikeable family. Lately I have come to realise that mysteries with the POV of both the victims and the villains rarely work for me, with a few exceptions. It’s definitely a case of “it’s me, not you” and something that may change in future (I am very much a mood reader, so the book may very well tick all the boxes at a later time in my life). I concede that this book is just not the right one for me at this time and have decided to DNF.

Andrea Mara can certainly write a tense and exhilarating book. The story revolves around the inhabitants of a suburb of Dublin and in particular Marissa who goes to collect her 4 year old son Milo who she believes is on a play date with Jacob, the son of Jenny. Both Marissa and Jenny are working professional mums who rely heavily on nannies. When Marissa calls at the address she has been given to collect Milo she finds to her utter shock and dismay he is not there and Esther, whose house it is, has never heard of either Milo or Jacob. It soon becomes apparent Milo has been kidnapped and by non other that Jenny’s nanny Carrie, but why has this appended and more importantly where is he. Jenny, feeling guilty, calls round to Marissa’s home willing to do all she can to help. The plot is full of twists and turns and is full of suspense and surprises. It is a powerful story and had me completely hooked, it left me feeling a plethora of emotions towards the main characters who were so well drawn that it was easy to feel sadness and dislike for some of them.at the same time. The 2 bitchy mother in laws were ghastly and unpleasant as was Irene Carrie’s mother, she had no redeeming qualities at all. An excellent story which had be guessing until the conclusion and even then more surprises were to come. I highly recommend this excellent book. Thanks to NetGalley and RandomHouse for this ARC in return for my honest opinion

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were well drawn, the pace of the book was good, and I hadn't got a clue what was going on, and I loved that. Cracking story, and I loved the setting too, can't fault it and I don't want too. I would recommend this book to fans of this genre, and to any other reader too.

Just an ok read for me. Took quite a while to really get into the story so was not a page turner. The ending wad too convoluted to be believable. That said it was not a bad story and I wanted to read to the end. I would definitely read another novel by this author. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

All Her Fault by Andrea Mara is such a tense thriller. Andrea Mara explores every parent’s worst nightmare when Marissa’s four-year-old son, Milo, disappears. He was meant to be at a playdate with his friend, but when Marissa goes to pick him up, his friend’s mother has no knowledge of the playdate. And this is when the fear begins to set in for Marissa. Has her son been kidnapped? It makes for a shocking opening that gets the tension rising right away.
As the police investigate Milo’s disappearance, it’s suspected that his friend’s nanny has taken him. Marissa clings to the hope that she is keeping him safe and looking after him, but things soon begin to take a dark turn. It isn’t clear what the kidnapper’s motive is, and they soon find out that she knows dangerous people. This then begins to suggest that there could be a much more sinister motive. Marissa’s fear comes through very strongly, and I thought that Andrea Mara wrote this very well.
The mystery surrounding Milo’s disappearance is very complex, and it is very well thought out. I felt I couldn’t trust any of the characters, and it seemed as though they were all keeping secrets. I wanted to find out more about them, and it’s what makes this book such a gripping read. I wanted to know more about the nanny who is suspected of kidnapping Milo. I wanted to know more about her background and why she would suddenly do this.
What I thought was intriguing was how Andrea Mara looked at how gossip spreads and the different views people had on what had happened. Whenever there is a crime reported on in the news, people always have opinions on the people involved, openly sharing their thoughts and feelings. It can get very nasty on social media when this happens. Andrea Mara explores this very well in her book, and I liked how it increased the tension.
I was kept invested in the plot as the race to find answers and to find Milo heightened. I couldn’t work out what was going on and if there was more going on here than what first meets the eye. The book is told from different perspectives, and there was one person I really didn’t like. I couldn’t understand why they didn’t want to go to the police when it was possible that they might hold vital information. I don’t want to give too much away here, so I won’t go into any more detail. The plot gets really twisty, and the reveals which come towards the end are shocking and devastating. I thought it was so clever how Andrea Mara wrapped everything up. It was something I definitely wasn’t expecting.
I loved All Her Fault. The plot is so gripping, and I thought it was very original. Andrea Mara brings her characters to life really well. If you’re a lover of psychological thrillers, then you definitely need to add this book to your TBR pile.

Wow this is a fabulous read, I loved every minute. Completely believable, well written, engaging, with a great twist that I hadn’t seen coming!
This is a lie on a sun lounger and absorb over a few days book - simply great.

An excellent mystery book that keeps you guessing.
I really enjoyed this book, I warmed to the characters and became very invested in what was happening in the story.
Little snippets of information kept cropping up at just the right time to keep you interested throughout.
The book is well written, perfectly paced and just the right length.
Many thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for gifting me this arc in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

I found this to be a solid, 3* Good Read.
Marissa is the mother of a 4 year old boy, Milo, who is on a playdate with his schoolfriend, Jacob. Except, when Marissa goes to collect him, the house is wrong and he's not there. What follows is the 'mother's worst nightmare' of a tale as Marissa tries to find her son.
It's a well told tale with layers that unfold to a satisfying conclusion and a good holiday read.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to preview.

This book had me hooked from the very first page. It took me on a rollercoaster of emotions with its theme that plays on many people’s worst fear - their child being kidnapped. The story is full of twists and turns. I absolutely loved The Sleeper Lies and this is on par with that novel. Go get some

Another awesome book there are so many good ones this year but this one stood out for me. Truly terrifying concepts with lots of twists and turns, scarily twisted in places! This intense plot takes hold right from the start and continues throughout, focusing on a mother's worst nightmare when her child is abducted.
The. characters. were fully believable, it could have been written by someone to who this has actually happened to. It is slower-paced in part but very enjoyable throughout. The ending is not what you will expect and not the usual ending.
I really enjoyed it. and would highly recommend it.

Milo is missing.
He was supposed to be on a play date but when his Mum goes to pick him up a strange person opens the door.
Who has taken him? The answer shocks everyone but who else is involved and is Milo unharmed.
This book twist and turns and will leave you reeling. Just as you think you know the answer something else will be revealed but it leaves the biggest shock to the end.
couldn't put it down!!

Thank you to NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book.
This story centres around Marissa, her husband, Peter, and their 4 year old son, Milo. Marissa and Peter live in a wealthy part of town, and both have great jobs. One day, Marissa goes to pick Milo up from his play date with another student in his class, but a lady answers the door who isn’t the parent of the child he was meant to be with. She tries to call the parent and the phone is dead. Marissa has no idea where her child is or who he is with, and this is where the nightmare begins.
I adored this book. It was brilliantly written, and every chapter uncovered another twist and turn. The plot was so intertwined, but so easy to read and keep up with. I have children of similar to age to Milo, so really felt the emotion of Marissa, and the panic. She was a brilliant character, and had many layers to her, she was vulnerable, yet strong and brave. I also enjoyed the character of Jenny, who came through and proved herself a decent friend, rather than a rubbernecker watching someone’s life crumble. The writing flowed really well, and there wasn’t a boring bit at all in this book. And it really did show that you can’t trust anyone, no matter how much you think you know them. We read from different character perspectives, which was good so we could read what other characters knew, thought, or saw.
I would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of excellently written books, with a psychological thriller twist.

Bloody hell! All Her Fault is a shocker and a must read!
The tension radiates from the pages, the situation is unbearable to read (but please keep on reading!). So many emotions are in these pages and I loved this story.
An excellent 5/5.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing ,e to read an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review.
Lisa Jewell move over! There is another great thriller writer in town!
“All Her Fault” had me enthralled from the very first chapter.
Merissa is going through the worse nightmare of any parent: the loss of a child. But as it transpires, her nightmare only gets worse.
This book has a well constructed, planned devious plot which will have you on the edge of your seat, literally. The plot twists and turns in all directions, leaving the reader gasping at the audacity of it, even to the last page. I just did not see it coming.
The characters are well written, carefully observed, well rounded and believable. You even find yourself having some sympathy, or at least understanding of the motives, of the “bad guys”.
I cannoT recommend tHis book enough.

I read this ARC for an honest review
All thoughts and opinions are mine
I love that Netgalley has given me the opportunity to read different genres
Thrillers are not my usual fare but wow this was fantastic
This was tense, pacy, loads of twists and turns. I read this is one sitting - its that good
Some thrillers have plots that a pretty predictable and formulaic
This was neither, kept me on the edge all the way through, mostly I think because the plot was very credible which made it even more scary
It takes a lot for me give 5 stars but this absolutely deserves it
A cracking read

All her Fault by Andrea Mara was brilliant. Tense, horrifying and with many red herrings and twists. I couldn’t put it down and finished it in a day. Great characterisation and a pacy plot line that never falters, this was well written and credible. The unthinkable, where your child isn’t where you thought they were and you discover how much information people have about you and your lifestyle through others and social media gives real pause for thought. Marissa and Jenny allow us to see this unfolding horror through different perspectives and the ending was not what I expected. Top marks to Andrea for a first class read Four and a half stars
