A wonderful second chance in life story with great very likable characters who you can so easily become invested in their stories. Great narrative and banter, I really like how easy this was to read, it's quite a speedy book to read and flows really well from one scene to the next, it's just so enjoyable and comforting perfect anytime read to lift your mood, make your smile and escape reality!
Highly recommended"!

A really enjoyable, fun read comparing two totally opposite ways of life, fast-paced, stressful city life in London and laid back country life in Morpeth, with characters to match their locations
I personally could have done without the banality of the boring sex life being mentioned quite so much, but it does have its place within the plot and Nell’s thought processes / realisations.
Sophie Money-Coutts brought the larger than life characters vividly onto the page. There is a thread of wry humour woven throughout the story which is quite delightful.
The pub scenes in Morpeth were amongst my favourites and Nell’s parents made me chuckle out loud at times.
I enjoyed the slow reveal of the big secret hanging between Nell and Art, hinted at throughout, but never quite revealed until towards the end.
Lovely, light read which made me smile.

I have had this title on my Kindle for a while and I am not sure why it took me so long to get to it. I enjoyed it a lot (as I always do with Sophia Money-Coutts' novels) because it was an easy and light read, exactly what I needed!
This story is perfect for fans of Lucy Diamond and I devoured it quickly... plus I was rooting for Art and Nell from the very beginning!

I enjoyed this book as a low pressure, easy read. The plot was good, the characters solid. A great beach or afternoon read.

Absolutely adored this book! It's chick-lit at its best, harkening to the early days of this genre (circa early 2000s) yet rolling with the times, too, and focusing on a grown woman dealing with grown-adult life issues throughout. I loved Nell, and the cast of characters was brilliantly executed. Even those that appear just a few times on the page still ring off it memorably (here's to you, Luigi!). It was so heartening to watch Nell come into her own, realise she is her own person, and then own up to that. The story was also heart-breaking at times: the way the author has of peeling the layers of memories slowly throughout... Oh my God, this was like catnip for my reading heart and hands and brain!
Overall, really well executed, and the humour throughout was an added touch that sprinkled like fairy dust over this beautiful story of a woman finding her own person in the last place she ever expected to have it all come together for her.
If you love chick-lit, if you love strong heroines, if you like a heart-breaking romance (that still ends well!), then read this one! You will not regret it!

Amazing. What a wonderful book. In a light-hearted way, this book is the perfect reminder that you deserve real love, you should not settle and even that It's never too late to try something new. There's more i want to say, but alas that would be definite spoilers. I would highly recommend!!

I’d read previous titles by Sophia and the name of this book intrigued me as did the colourful book jacket. It was fun but not my favourite book of hers
Thanks to the publisher for my gifted copy

I really enjoyed Did You Miss Me? by Sophia Money-Coutts!
This was the second book I've read by her and both have been easily identifiable in it's characters and fun to read! Nell and Art were cute together and I really rooted for them. I think childhood sweethearts are one of my favourite tropes - especially with the 'one that got away' storylines!
I will say this one took a little while for me to get into but once it got going I flew through, it kept me up late one night just to finish it :)
I'm very much looking forwards to Sophia's next book!

Razor sharp and witty, a great commentary on what is enough in life and why money and power won’t always make you happy. An easy but thought-provoking read. Thanks NetGalley!

Nive quick holiday read. Fabulous characters and escapism at its best. Would recommend this book to anyone.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were all good and the premise of the book was great. The story flowed well. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest opinion

This is my first of Sophia's books, but her writing style is really up my street. It's a hilarious rom com, and I really loved Sophia's sarcasm which dripped from the pages.
However, my one contention is it was a little long – I think 20pc could have been easily shaved off with no worries or impact on the story.

This was an easy rom-com read, with great sarcastic humour and a large variety of interesting characters.
My only negative was that it was much longer than it needed to be.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

A nice easy rom com and was very enjoyable.
Nell lives in London and is a lawyer who lives with Gus they seem to be stuck in a rut certain times of the week they do the same thing. Nell’s Dad has an accident and she ends back home looking after him. She meets her first love Art and this makes her question her life choices.
There is some funny bits in the book and as I say a easy book to read.

Sophia really nailed it with this one. Couldn't stop reading! Seriously funny moments that had me laughing out loud. Nell was a brilliant central character and I loved her sense of humour. I think I'd read whatever Sophia Money-Coutts writes to be honest! Chick-lit romance at it's very best.

Sophia Money-Coutts is the true heiress to the Jilly Cooper tradition of big-hearted, witty romances.
I have read all of her books and she never disappoints when I want to sink into a delicious frothiness of a book.

Nell is a hard-working lawyer who is pushing herself to make partner at her firm. Most definitely not engaged to her boyfriend who is also a high flier, they have a pact not to get engaged or married and to remain happy as they are as marriage apparently ruins things.
When Nell’s family life takes a complicated turn, she must return to her home town to take care of her father for a while and she comes face to face with her first love and all of her unresolved feelings that she had crammed away.
This book was brilliant-I loved how down to earth Nell was and how the descriptions of how she felt at any given time were hilariously accurate and relatable.

An easy to read, heartwarming tale of a woman who is reminded of the “one that got away” when she is forced to return to the family home after her father has an accident.
Nell is a lovely character, supported by some well written and interesting friends and family and the quaint setting, is completely different from the hustle and bustle of Nells usual life.
The whole plot falls together perfectly culminating in a satisfying ending that I was pleased with.

Not my usual genre but I enjoyed this easy read, rom-com. It asks the question what would have happened if you were given the opportunity to rekindle your first love. I didn’t particularly like the main character but this isn’t important in liking the book overall

I consulted my 'read' list, as I knew I'd read this author before. I had read 4 of her previous books and gave two books 5 stars and two books 3 stars. So a mixed bag. I think this book had to go with the lower rating, I had high hopes after reading the blurb, but this was rather flat.
An okay read, but not too memorable and took me a while to get into, but nothing really stood out in the plot or characters to make me want to increase my rating.
I love the author's humour- there are times when a phrase from one of her previous books comes into my head and I still laugh out loud months later. Clue- cowabunga! Her humour was definitely present in this book too, and really added to my enjoyment, but I wanted more from the plot at the same time.
