Alright, I'm not going to lie, I read the introduction and about the first plane and then skimmed the rest. I honestly forget that Russia was even a part of WWII (thank you American public school system) so I'm always surprised when information about their involvement comes up. This book provides history and technical information for Russian planes during WWII. All the aircraft have drawings of what they would have looked like and a few have photos. I was honestly surprised by the lack of photographs and I don't know if that was a purposeful choice the author made or if they simply aren't available. Overall the information would be very interesting to plane or WWII enthusiasts, but most of it went over my head.
