I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.

Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.

However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

A really lovely relevant story about kindness, helping, forgiving and finding a way to love again.
Lockdown 2020/2021 has affected us all in different ways, and for some it has given us a different life.

A fantastic book about life in lockdown - and the impact of Covid on an ordinary relationship. Angela's husband Robert sadly dies of Covid in March 2020, leaving her and their teenage children. The story takes you through the aftermath of his death and how Angela begins to move on. Its perceptively written with some lovely insights into life in the 'new normal'. Well worth a read!

My thanks to NetGalley and Hodder and Stoughton for a copy of “ Give A Little Love”;for an honest review.

I’ve been a fan of Jackie Clunes since her stand up days, and loved “ Extreme Motherhood”.
Her last book “ I’m Just A Teenage Punchbag “ was one of my favourite books of 2020.
I was eager to read her new novel ,but was a bit concerned that the subject of COVID and grief would be a little ‘ raw ‘ for me at the moment. I couldn’t have been more wrong .I was hooked from the start. Jackie Clunes’ writing was so good and it involved me, as a woman of a similar age, and circumstances to Angela , straight away. The storyline dealt with what should really matter in life, helping others in need .
This book was untimely uplifting and empowering and shows that out of something bad , something good can come.
I can’t wait for her next book

What a beautiful book. When Angela's husband dies of Covid she has to reflect on her life, The book shows how we don't know what is around the corner, how sometimes we mistake behaviour for being good when actually its about control. Angela is desperate to help others and when she finds out her husband had a daughter before they met she embraces her into her home and her life. This book was about how little things can make a difference to someone's life or their self esteem. Although we live in an unfair society at times where some have much much more than others, you can still help. This book wasn't your predictable woman meets new man and falls in love. Thats why I enjoyed it so much. Thank you!

I have just finished Give a Little Love by Jackie Clune.

This story shows that from something bad, good can come of it.

A book about love, grief, family and friends could be triggering to some due to the current pandemic but please don’t let this stop you from reading about the angel, Angela.

Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

What a fantastic book read this in one sitting! Life in lockdown, what a great theme for a book it’s something we all experienced and it’s great to see how the author portrayed the characters and made them work. Such a heartwarming story and lessons within for us all to learn.
Sad when this ended highly recommended read

An OK read. Surely they'll be an influx of such books in the near future. An easy read chronicling Covid in the UK. Just OK. Nothing overly special

I loved give a little love! A really uplifting read that illustrates out of something bad something good can happen!
2020 and the pandemic was an awful year for many and despite the restrictions imposed by covid and the terrible numbers of those who lost their lives many good things came out of it as communities pulled together, supported the NHS and raised money, in Give a little love Angela a middle aged mum of two loses her husband Robert to covid, a truly devastating time for her and her children who are home from university due to covid, however life has to go on and Angela after a few little wobbles decides to tackle Roberts possessions, a mobile phone of his hides a deep secret not what Angela initially thought but equally shocking! Angela alone now the children have gone off travelling makes a split second decision re her new discovery, this totally changes her life and that of many others just by sharing her home, giving time and knowing how to access help to those less fortunate than herself! Angela now has a purpose again in life, new friends from her helpful neighbours, an extended family and a sense of worth!
Entertaining, humerus read that will delight!
Thank you netgalley for this early read
