I started learning about lucid dreaming many, many years ago. For some reason I forgot how to lucid dream, I will blame it on day-to-day stressors in life. But this book reminded me of the lessons and freedom that could be garnered from my dreams. While it did take me back to square one and I struggled with impatience I appreciate the author's take on dreams. Would definitely recommend it.

I am not new to analyzing my dreams, so this wasn’t for me. I wanted something different, something that was unique and stood out—this wasn’t it.

Thank you Quatro and NetGalley for this ARC in return for my honest opinion.

The Conscious Dreamer is a colourful book, the content is spread across the course of a month with daily exercises for the reader to learn how to engage more in their waking and dreaming life. I admit while I often study my dreams and journal to extract the personal meaning for me have never learned about lucid dreaming and many of the other topics in the book.

Overall I mostly enjoyed the book although it was not what I was expecting. Many of the topics did not interest me especially things like joining a dream circle with others.

Unfortunately this ARC was often difficult Tom read as some pages were upside down on my device and the pages wouldn’t scroll left to right like a normal kindle book which was Frustrating. I would be interested to see this book as a hard copy to get the full enjoyment from it.

As someone who does a lot of dreamwork, both for myself and in a therapeutic setting, I was very excited to read "Conscious Dreamer". by Tree Carr. I loved the cover art and the description, however I must admit as a 30+ I do not feel like a target of this book, which is quite understandable as it is dedicated to Gen Z and Gen Alpha.

This book is a type of publication the reader is supposed to interact with-write in it, draw, share their artwork online. You know, the Insta-friendly type of books you often find at Urban Outfitters. There are daily exercises, rituals and meditations to help one dream more consciously. There is also plenty of space for journaling, reflecting, as well as tips and tricks on how to improve sleep hygiene or create a dream sharing group. The Insta-friendliness is not a flaw, though. I truly appreciate the aesthetic aspects of "Conscious Dreamer", how colourful and inviting it is.

Tree Carr proposes a 30 day journey to conscious dreaming, guiding the reader step by step. It is worth noting that there are no sections on decoding the meaning of dreams as it is rarely universal. "Conscious Dreamer" invites curiosity and exploring what sense can the dreamer make of particular motives or topics that occur in their dreams.

I think this book will be a treat for a person who wants to start their journey with dreamwork, who likes to journal and is quite crafty.

Conscious Dreamer is a book that helps you to connect with the power of your dreams and live your best life. It is set out in a style that guides you, over the course of 30 days, through a conscious dreaming practice that will help you to build new habits around sleep and dreaming. Despite our differences in culture, age, gender and beliefs, we are all connected by the mysterious, transcendent and surreal nature of our dreams. In the modern world with its stresses and strains, it can often feel like we have lost the ability to dream; this book aims to aid you in embracing and reconnecting with yourself and your dreams to help make the most of your magical dreaming hours.

This is a wonderful and accessible book for beginners to learn the fundamentals of lucid dreaming and how to get the most out of your hours of sleep. It is designed to provide you with the necessary tools to become more connected with your dreamworlds and therefore bring more inspiration, guidance, healing, creativity and magic into your waking life. As a conscious dreamer, the book teaches you to embrace your dreams through a series of fun activities to be carried out daily or nightly. You engage in regular rituals and activities that will help activate your dreams such as writing, dream mapping, sharing, meditating and even building a dream altar.

Each of these activities serves a particular purpose, reawakens you and helps trigger vivid and more meaningful dreams while aiding you in understanding them on a deeper level. I would say this is more for a beginner than someone with prior knowledge of this topic, and I felt it covered everything in enough detail but kept its brevity and was very clear and coherent to understand. It's an accessible, informative and insightful read and one I recommend to those wanting to know about this fascinating area. Tree Carr happens to be one of the foremost experts and conscious dreaming guides so you always feel as though you're in safe hands. Highly recommended.

I'm a big fan of Tree Carr. I have had private tarot readings, as well as attended lots of group online sessions with her over lockdown. I have read her previous book too - so when I saw that she was releasing a new dream based book I immediately wanted to read.

However this book is not original or unique. There is nothing new here.
I love the idea of it - being like a journal and introducing a new practice each day (over 30 day period) and the illustrations are beautiful. However, I just found the content to be a little bland and lack lustre.
It might be good for beginners but I was hoping for a more detailed approach.
