There was just so much driving. In the car. Out of the car. Shooting. More shooting. Unreliable characters. It was a lot.

This is a terrifying read, which will appeal to thriller readers who like their novels to be visceral. Cambry and Lena are twins and we experience their ordeals in alternating chapters. Lena is also writing a blog and it is used to talk directly to us (her readers). We are with Lena in what seems like real-time as she tries to confront the person she believes harmed her dead sister. Cambry’s scenes are in the past, but read like they are in the present as she fears for her life.
The creepy and sometimes gruesome descriptions of the deadly situations and the potential killer(s), heighten the tension. Some of the scenes seem to run a little bit long and there was some twists that may have readers suspending their belief. Overall, the main conflict starts in the first part of the book and does not let up until the end. Lena is determined to discover the truth.

I liked the premise behind the actual story- a twin going to learn the truth about her sisters death and running into a bad guy she has to fight to not end up with the same outcome. However, adding in her blog, and the "maybe it's real... maybe it's not" story she was telling behind the scenes, made everything more confusing and jumbled than entertaining. When we found out what happened I was more relieved to know the truth than shocked at the mystery that was solved.
Overall this was a miss for me and I feel like it could have been great by having a differently arranged story.

I’ve heard so much hype about this book across the charts. I read the description and thought it sounded decent, but I didn’t put it at the top of my to be read list. Well, that was my mistake because it’s probably my favorite book of the year! This book is so fast paced that I flew through the chapters. I’m sad it’s over so I’ll be diving into Adams other work for my next fix. Read this book, put it at the top of your tbr, don’t make my mistake.

I wish I'd loved this book more. It took me ages to get into and ages to read and I lost intetest. Once I got stuck in to finish it I enjoyed it more but the characters weren't nice and it felt longer than it needed to be. There were so many twists too that it got confusing. Not my cup of tea for the most part but I did manage to enjoy it for the last bit....and it was cleverly written with the blog posts etc.

I was super excited to be able to get an electronic advanced copy, but unfortunately it fell a little flat for me. Especially considering I devoured No Exit. I love when thrillers make my heart race while I am reading and this book did that for me, but not until the last 1/4 of it. Im hoping the next read by Adams is better suited for me because I really did love No Exit.

Lena receives a strange message from her twin sister Cambry just before she jumped off the Hairpin Bridge. But Lena is not ready to accept that her sister could commit suicide. She sets out on a mission to find out the mystery behind her sister's death.

She decides to meet Corporal Raycevic, the officer who found Cambry's body and tried to find out more about the incident. Lena is ready to go to any extent to find out about her sister's death. Will she find what she is looking for?

This is a suspenseful, revenge story with a lot of mystery and thrill that I enjoyed thoroughly. The story is told in various POVs including Cambry's version which was very interesting and much needed to understand the story.

This is my first book from the author and I absolutely loved this story. I loved the strong and determined character of Lena throughout the story. The storyline was enthralling and the twists and turns in the story kept me hooked till the end. Can't wait to read more from this author. Highly recommended for everyone who loves this genre.

I really enjoyed the book and going along for the ride. I thought the main character was a pretty cool one. I wish the story was a little more intense and it ended a little different. But I am so glad I read it. I did prefer No Exit more. Just because it was so intense compared to this one. But this book did have some intensity to it just now as much as I was expecting.

I thought this was an incredibly fast paced story that I just didn't want to stop reading. Lena's twin sister Cambry supposedly killed herself three months ago by jumping off Hairpin Bridge. Lena doesn't buy it though - she knows something is fishy and she wants answers. This book takes place over the course of a few hours with Lena in a desperate race to confront the man she thinks killed her sister. But did he? There are a few different points of view, like what may have happened the night Cambry died from her point of view, Lena's blog and a few guys we aren't sure are guilty or not. There are so many twists and turns and desperate maneuvers by both Lena and Cambry and it made for an awesome ride. I did agree with a few readers that the action started to feel a little repetitive towards the end. But it still made for an excellent story! I still loved No Exit better, but this was an incredible follow-up.

I love a good nail-biting, edge of your seat thriller! And in my opinion, Adams delivered another one with Hairpin Bridge. I liked how you got insight to the killers point of view while also getting insight into the victim's thoughts, even if it was just what Lena imagined Cambry was feeling. The twists at the end seemed well thought out to me but one or two I did predict. Adams definitely knows how to write some gory scenes that make you twist in your seat. He also knows how to write a bad guy and scenes that really make your heart race. I did feel like the ending was kind of drawn out with the "final" battle. However, this novel is a very quick read and while a little unbelievable at times, a very entertaining read.

I enjoyed Taylor’s new book, but I don’t think it was as good as NO EXIT. I enjoyed the dual perspectives in HAIRPIN BRIDGE but it was a little confusing towards the end.

I loved No Exit so much, I was excited to see this book by the same author. I was super disappointed. I don't expect all of an author's books to be alike, but this one read more like a debut novel. The format was all over the place with a "real-time" narration, a blog, and a book. The plot was super unbelievable to begin with and the details and twists weren't believable either. None of the characters were remotely likeable. This was just kind of a mess, unfortunately.

I loved no exit so I was so excited for a new book by the same author and I wasn’t disappointed. Such a great read I’d totally recommend it five stars for sure

Dark and twisty, action packed plot. Trigger warning for themes of death and suicide. Hard for follow at times with and ending that left me wanting.

It breaks my heart to give Hairpin Bridge a two star rating. I absolutely LOVED No Exit, so I had high hopes for this book. It wasn't *bad*, but it wasn't at the same level as his debut.

I did enjoy the overall plot... Lena's twin sister Cambry dies by suicide (allegedly) in Montana by jumping off Hairpin Bridge. She feels the urge to go and confront Officer Raycevic, who discovered her body. Lena is insistent that Cambry wouldn't kill herself. She increasingly starts realizing that something very sinister happened the night her sister died.

The book is action packed, and while primarily plot driven, the character development was very interesting. The story is full of twists and turns, and has a ton of surprises.

Sounds like the beginning of a 4 or 5 star review, right? Well, it would have been, had the author not used so many overused tropes with each twist and turn. There is always a necessity for suspension of belief when it comes to thrillers, but Hairpin Bridge requires more than the typical amount.

The epilogue is perhaps the most unbelievable part of the entire story. How are readers supposed to believe that a 4 year old could survive a 30 foot drop down a well when he was dropped head first? This being the final scene readers get really ended the book on a negative note.

The narration overall was good, but the alternating timelines and alternating POVs (sometimes within the same couple of pages) made it, at times, difficult to follow. It was also a little confusing knowing which parts of the text to believe when it came down to putting the pieces together of what exactly happened with Cambry.

Was this a bad book? Not at all. It had plenty of enjoyable, unputdownable moments that left me on the edge of my seat. But there was unfortunately just too much (for me) that weighed the rating down. I probably would have given it a 2.5 star rating, if it were an option.

I loved this tense and twisty book. This is the perfect thriller to read this summer. This is the first book I have read by Taylor Adams but it won't be the last. I highly recommend this fast pace thriller.

Hairpin Bridge smacks you right into the action of this story and, while sometimes this is effective, this time it came off pretty jarring for the reader. while it was very immersive and you felt like you were literally there with them, it also felt like I didn't have any backstory. We meet Lena and Deputy Raycevic in a small town before they head out to the scene of Lena's twin sister's apparent suicide. Lena has been fixated on her suspicions around Cambry's death, orchestrating an epic unveiling of the truth and potentially putting Lena in severe danger to discover it. I loved the multiple perspectives from each (of the very few) characters, which I was able to follow pretty well. The timeline of the storytelling was also quite unique, giving different angles and details to weave the story together. The book only spans a few hours, which is deceiving based on the drawn out chase and gunfight scenes. I've realized that I'm not too much of a fan of this: so many details to describe a very short length of time in reality. The jumps back to the past leading up to the main scene of the book helped give it some depth, though. All in all, this book was a fun puzzle to put together. While I wish it had gone a different direction, I can see what the author was trying to do with the ending. Curious to know what other people make of it.

After having read No Exit by this author I was really looking forward to reading this one, and getting stuck into a psychological thriller that kept you on your toes.

We have a twin who is searching to find out what happened to her twin sister who according to all wisdom had taken her life by throwing herself off Hairpin Bridge, a known suicide spot but she is convinced this was murder. She searches out the policeman who stopped her for speeding an hour before her death, and then discovered the body. Alongside this we have the story of what did happen to her sister.

I really enjoyed the early part of this book and the early stages of the story. However part way through it seemed to drag for a while and you wanted the author to get on with the story, before it then picked up again in the later stages of the book. Overall I would say I enjoyed it and am happy to recommend it if you enjoy psychological thrillers. Towards the end of the book there was some great tension, and some good twists.

No Exit is one of my all time favorite thrillers, so I was very excited to see this follow-up from Taylor Adams. AND IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT. I was on the edge of my seat from the jump.

I’ve seen so many mixed reviews on this one that I was a little hesitant and nervous to pick this one up. However, I really liked it! It is a fast paced, gory and somewhat violent thriller that’ll have you turning the pages as fast as you can. There are a couple things that I thought were a little unrealistic but overall when I finished turned that last page I found myself smiling. I liked it!
