Crazy, entertaining story from Adams. Lena is full of surprises. Officer Raycevic is full of surprises. And the surprise character is full of surprises (no spoilers) Adams goes back and forth between Lena's interview and Camby's story. He keeps ratcheting up the tension until the explosive ending at the bridge. Lots of twists in this one - all the way to the very end.

Fans of No Exit should love this one. A book you should definitely add to your summer reading list

When Lena drives to meet Officer Raymond Raycevic at the infamous Hairpin Bridge in Montana to get to the bottom of her suspicions about her twin sister's apparent suicide, there's a chance she has bitten off more than she can chew.

This book was a rollercoaster that pulled me along at absolute breakneck speed. It was twisty and turny, with multiple conflicting accounts of the same events that will keep you guessing. Not only that, both 'past' and 'present' narratives span only a few hours apiece leaving little to no time for the story to lag.

I really enjoyed the contrast in narrative voices in Lena's various outlets, from her blog to her novel written primarily from Cambry's POV to the third person narration of her own POV, and how they reveal over the course of the story her changing mental state and the resulting discrepancies.
The pacing had me hooked and there were just enough plot twists and reveals to keep me guessing and leave me reeling in the end.
This is also possibly the first book I've ever read with a car chase in it, and oh wow was it intense-so well written.

If you're looking for a thriller you can devour in one sitting, this might just be the one for you.

Thank you for the ARC of this book! Lena Nguyen is a young-woman who wants to know what really happened on the day that her sister died by suicide. She asks the cop who found her body to meet her at the bridge she was found by. What happens next is a book that takes place across a short time period. With many twists and turns, the plot was and setting was interesting; however, I was slightly confused with the shifts in narrators and the way Cambry's story was told.

Overall, this book is for people who enjoy suspense novels that take place in a short period of time.

Hairpin Bridge was my first Taylor Adams book but I can promise it won't be my last. Action packed from start to finish with many twists and turns to keep you guessing. I throughly enjoyed all the cat and mouse games in this book and loved that the book had a strong, smart, female lead. I honestly wasn't sure how things would end and couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out. Well written and entertaining the whole way through.

This book like NO EXIT takes place over a couple of hours.

Lena Nguyen travels to Montana in order to find out what really happened to her sister Cambry. It's been ruled suicide but Lena doesn't believe it and thinks officer Raycevic, the officer who found her body, is hiding something. Lena wants Raycevic to take her to the bridge where Cambry was found in order to get the truth.

This was a gripping, fast paced story it twisted and turned and there were parts where I wasn't sure what was real and what wasn't. I liked that Lena's blog posts were also incorporated into the story too.

Lena was a very strong character managing to get past anything thrown in her way which I enjoyed reading about.

I'd recommend reading this in one sitting as I think that would make it more enjoyable but I still thought this was a good story.

I really wanted to love this book because I had heard so much hype about No Exit. However, I was disappointed. The beginning of the book was so fast paced and had me totally intrigued I flew through the first half. And then the second half just kind of seemed all over the place and I really lost interest and struggled to finish it. There were a lot of twists but the ending kind of ruined it for me. I still want to read No Exit but I wasn’t a fan of this book.

I haven't read No Exit yet but it's in my TBR pile. So I was excited to be given a copy of this book to review. It didn't disappoint and now I have to go and read No Exit! Stick with this one right until the last page!

I asked for this book because I had read No Exit and absolutely loved it. I was not disappointed. Hairpin Bridge was one woman’s suicide mission to find out what happened to her twin sister. Lena does not believe the official story that she committed suicide. So she sets out to speak with the last person to have been known to see her, the cop who found her body.

Watching the characters dance back and forth kept me riveted the entire time. This is a book you read in one sitting if you can. The reader gets more than one perspective as the narrative switched around, including one that is from Cambry’s point of view on her last night. But we need to remember that the story being told is coming from Lena and not her twin sister. We cannot fully trust any narrator. And that was where the story got me. I knew Lena couldn’t possibly know very many details about that fateful night, which she fully admits. Everything we know of Cambridge comes from someone trying to support a hypothesis she came to before she got to Montana. Everyone here has an agenda and secrets to hide.

I love how Taylor Adams can make a non-stop thriller in any setting, a snow storm at night or a spooky bridge in the daytime, and keep it going at such an even pace that you sometimes do not even realize you have been holding your breath. This is another one I will add to my bookshelf. My family comes to me constantly asking for something to read. They always know I will have a recommendation based on what everyone likes. I will hand this one to any of the three. I want to thank Taylor Adams, Joffe Books, and NetGalley for another chance to read a Taylor Adams book before the rest of the world. Can’t wait for this one to come out!

This was one of my most anticipated books of 2021. No Exit was amazing and hooked me right from the beginning. I expected the same from this one. Unfortunately it was very hard to follow and I struggled to connect with the story.

Hairpin Bridge by Taylor Adams is a deliciously dark and twisted story of murder, suicide, revenge and family drama. Set in Magma Springs, 60 miles outside Missoula, Montana, the tale begins with Lena investigating the suicide of her twin sister Cambrey 3 months previously. Cambrey was a free spirit and restless roamer who set off on a solo auto trip around the US, and never made it back to Seattle. The circumstances of her death are unclear and Lena decides to find the truth so her family can have closure. The present time action takes place on one long day, but through flashbacks, the reader learns about the twins’ very different personalities, their relationship, and their lifestyles up to Cambrey’s death.
The events leading up to the present day showdown are told by the twins in alternating POVs and quickly engage the reader as the story unfolds. The descriptions of the isolated rural setting and an approaching wildfire really add to the “you-are-there” feeling of suspense and sense of impending disaster.
While there are creepy villains and descriptions of explicit violence in this book, they feel appropriate for the scenes in which they appear. One of the strengths of the writing in this novel is the author’s ability to conjure realistic scenes and keep the narrative terse and gritty. The deconstructing of the villain’s malicious intent and actions is both fascinating and disturbing reading. But the stunning twists and gripping events kept me hooked on this novel to the very end!

Wow this book had me intrigued from the start to finish! I did not see any of the twists coming all the way to the end. This is my first book by this author but definitely not my last. I love suspense and murder and lies and this book gave it all to this avid reader! Get this book and read it you will not be disappointed.

After reading 'No Exit' by Taylor Adams and loving it, I had to read Hairpin Bridge which is just as racy, riveting and an action-packed page turner.

Three months ago Lena's twin sister Cambry commits suicide on Hairpin Bridge and is found by highway patrolman Corporal Raymond Raycevic. In her heart, Lena knows that Cambry would never take her own life and hence in present day Montana, she meets with Corporal Reycevic for answers and she will do whatever it takes to get them.

With a captivating and suspenseful plotline, a chilling setting and twists and thrills in every chapter it kept my heart racing and had me holding my breath. I absolutely loved Lena's character and she was such a badass. This is a treat for sure for all thriller lovers. Definitely pick it up the moment it releases on 15th June.

I absolutely loved Taylor Adams’ earlier book, “No Exit” and find that to be one of the best and most breathtaking thrillers. Perhaps it’s too much of a burden to meet, but “Hairpin Bridge” fell way short of that level for me. The majority of this novel takes place at one location and seemed like more of an action movie synopsis than a true thriller/mystery book. All these physical fights and confrontations were taking place, but very little of the book shows you why-but not in a good, mysterious way. It’s a solid read, but I was left feeling underwhelmed. 3 ⭐️. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy.

This was one of my most anticipated 2021 releases, and unfortunately, I’m a little disappointed. I loved the first half of the book. The second half had way too much going on and was a little far fetched. Initially I liked the writing style, but then it became a little confusing and hard to follow. I will still auto buy this author though and I recommend No Exit!

This book I think took grief and showed how each person struggles to deal with it. This book took grief and guilt and made it into a story where you constantly want to know what the character did in that moment, and what would you do in that moment.
Overall I liked how this book was written but I might be in the minority for it. I enjoyed how in some places it seemed a little all over the place.

This book the first 60% was pretty full of action. I was on the edge of my seat as it switched from Cambry’s point of view to her twin sister Lena point of view.

Then it started to drag a bit. There was a lot of action and the premise was awesome. But there was just something a little off about it for me. I felt like it got a bit confusing a couple times and there were some discrepancies. I don’t want to go into them because they would be spoilers for anyone reading.

I think I was so built up after No Exit I was expecting this one to be better but it wasn’t.
It’s still a really good read and you’ll be on the edge of your seat.

Hairpin Bridge is an outstanding, fast-paced thriller with plenty of twists throughout. When Lena is told that her estranged twin sister killed herself by jumping off a remote bride, she doesn't believe it. So Lena goes to the bridge with a tape recorder and meets with the officer who found her sister's body. What happens when her pursuit for the truth only brings up more questions? Filled with tons of twists and surprises throughout, readers will be on the edge of their seats. Highly recommended!

This book was a crazy ride! It is a face-paced, high action story about finding the truth behind a twin sisters suicide. I really enjoyed the car chases and gun fights that put you on your toes throughout the book. That is unfortunately the only thing I enjoyed about the book. It did get a bit confusing at times with the abrupt transitions and the many different perspectives. I wasn't a huge fan of plot and some of the scenes felt over the top and far fetched. I also wasn't able to invest into the characters. There were some really good twists especially with the ending!

Although this was an exciting, action-packed thriller, I didn't enjoy it as much as No Exit. It was super outlandish and also, the author's incredibly detailed descriptions of guns, ammo, shooting stances, etc., seemed unnecessary to the plot and became a bit redundant and irksome.

Taylor Adams has done it again! What an amazing read that kept me guessing about what really happened until the very end.

While talking to Corporal Raymond Raycevic, Lena starts to believe his story is off and something doesn't feel right. All throughout their meeting, Lena records Raycevic's account of what happened that night, but as his story goes on, Lena has more and more questions and will do anything to find out the truth, even if it means risking her own life. What exactly happened to Cambry?
