Description:
Three months ago, Lena Nguyen’s estranged twin sister, Cambry, drove to a remote bridge seventy miles outside of Missoula, Montana, and jumped two hundred feet to her death. At least, that is the official police version.

But Lena isn’t buying it.

Now she’s come to that very bridge, driving her dead twin’s car and armed with a cassette recorder, determined to find out what really happened by interviewing the highway patrolman who allegedly discovered her sister’s body.

Corporal Raymond Raycevic has agreed to meet Lena at the scene. He is sympathetic, forthright, and professional. But his story still seems a bit off. For one thing, he stopped Cambry for speeding just an hour before she supposedly leaped to her death. Then there are the sixteen attempted 911 calls from her cell phone, made in what was unfortunately a dead zone.

But perhaps most troubling of all, the state trooper is referred to by name in Cambry’s final enigmatic text to her sister: Please Forgive Me. Lena will do anything to uncover the truth. But as her twin’s final hours come into focus, Lena’s search turns into a harrowing tooth-and-nail fight for her own survival—one that will test everything she thought she knew about her sister and herself...

I LOVED NO EXIT BY TAYLOR ADAMS, it was one of my favorite books of the entire year so far and when I saw there was another book out I knew I had to read it.
I loved this book as well. Taylor Adam’s does an amazing job with thrillers, the adrenaline shoots straight from your heart the entire time. I could not put this book down. I read it all in one night and have been in a slump ever since.

Read this!!

THANK YOU TAYLOR ADAMS, NETGALLEY AND WILLIAM MORROW BOOKS FOR THIS ARC COPY ❤️❤️

This book was a roller coaster ride of all emotions. Fear for the sisters, heartbreak and loss. Told in the eyes of all the characters this book keep me guessing, right to the end.

This book was such a happy surprise! A month later and I can’t stop thinking about that ending. I was a little worried since it’s starts off featuring a police detective. I’m usually not a fan of detective thrillers. But I binged 75% of it in one night and every twist and turn was a big surprise! I can’t really review without giving spoilers, but just know that you will not be able to guess the climatic moments!

I will be the first to admit I was not a huge fan of Taylor Adams’ first book No Exit. This was before I started my bookstagram, but I gave it a 2/5 ⭐️ - mostly for the unnecessary graphic nature of the book in general. I fully appreciate that my personal preference for types mysteries and thrillers didn’t align with No Exit but I was still excited to read the follow up, Hairpin Bridge.

Lena’s sister Cambry commits suicide by jumping off Hairpin Bridge in Montana a few months ago. Although estranged, Lena does not believe her sister would take her own life. She travels to the bridge and sets up an interview with the police officer who found Lena‘s body. But with more digging and investigating, more questions arise. Did Cambry commit suicide? Does the police officer know more than what he’s telling Lena? What was Cambry up to those last few months of her life?

I was able to obtain a copy of this for Kindle thanks to @netgalley and read it right around its pub day a few weeks back. I am very glad I didn’t spend any money on this book as I found it pretty lackluster, unbelievable and bland. The story is told over just a few hours and could’ve easily been 70 pages shorter. I don’t mind slow burn thrillers but I felt like the story never really took off. When there was any suspense, it was quite unrealistic and hard to comprehend. I think my first words upon closing the book after finishing were “what did I just read?” 😵‍💫 Needless to say, I will not be jumping on future books from this author and give it a…

This was a complex back and forth thriller. Yes I enjoyed it but I was a little underwhelmed. It was still a great read and I recommend. I think I just loved Taylors debut No exit so much that this didn’t feel as good

Ooooh! This was good! Just as fast paced and violent as No Exit, which was the first Taylor Adams book I read and prompted me to immediately request this advanced reader’s copy of Hairpin Bridge. I feel like the suspense was more ratcheted up in Hairpin Bridge, giving it an almost a frenetic energy.

This is a story of a twin sister trying to get to the bottom of her sister’s death. Is Raycevic good or bad? What were his motives and intentions? What are Lena’s? I really felt like I was out on the road with them with the fire fast approaching. I love the way Adams can write a scene and suck me in.

The relationship between the sisters seemed lacking for the majority of the book, so you depend on the implied twin bond as motivation for Lena’s actions. I think the relationship becomes clearer and more solidified at the end.

Overall, a great thriller! Thank you to NetGalley and Joffe Books for this advanced reader’s eCopy.

I really enjoyed hairpin bridge. Super entertaining and equally as messed up, ha! Good for thriller fans. Would make another great movie

This book is fast paced and very entertaining throughout. It all takes place within a couple of hours with occasional flashback scenes. I had a lot of fun reading it, and overall recommend it for a popcorn movie horror/thriller experience. However, I do think certain twists and plot points were very convenient and not realistic. This is the type of book that you don’t think too hard about but have a great time while reading.

No Exit was one of my favorite books of last year, so I was thrilled to be offered an advanced copy of Hairpin Bridge! What starts as a supposedly innocent confrontation leads to a life and death battle on an abandoned highway bridge. With new twists and turns I really didn’t see where it was going to end up, but overall I enjoyed it. Warning: very gory

Nothing can beat no exit, but this was really good! Fast paced and I loved the dual perspectives! I will definitely be looking forward to any other books that Taylor Adams writes!

This was one of my most anticipated summer reads. This one was just as intense & exciting as his debut novel, No Exit. Hairpin Bridge is about two twin sisters, one (Cambry) who allegedly killed themselves by leaping off a bridge & the other (Lena) who doesn’t believe it & is hell bent on finding answers. This one had so many twists and turns that I never knew what to expect! It kept me on the edge of my seat and it was agonizing when I had to put it down. I give it all the stars!!

I’m the beginning I thought I had it all figured out. But boy, was I wrong! This is one crazy, twisty, heartbreaking, addicting book.

I haven't read anything by this author before, so I didn't know what to expect. What I didn't expect was to enjoy it from the start and keep on reading until the very end. Recommended for anyone who loves a good read!

Hairpin bridge is a story of a girl named Lena looking to find out what really happened to her sister. Her sister is found dead at the bottom of a bridge as an apparent suicide, but Lena doesn’t buy it. She decides to meet up with the detective who called in the body and find out exactly what he knows. The story takes place on the bridge. Yes-the whole story. This fact alone made me resent this book. The plot was slow and it was too much car chasing for this girl. Would not read again or recommend

Unfortunately I didn't finish this book. I was so excited to read it because I absolutely loved No Exit by this author but for some reason this one just didn't hold my attention. I read about half of it then gave up. I would still give this author another chance though.

Omg! This book was amazing! I didn’t think I would be as shocked as I was! The first book by him was crazy good. This book knocked my socks off. It has you thinking one way then takes you down another just as you have it figured out BAM nope totally not how it ends! Highly recommend this author to anyone who loves a good thrill!

Overall Hairpin Bridge was a bit of a miss for me. I loved Taylor Adam’s first book, No Exit, and was really looking forward to Hairpin Bridge. We start of with Lena trying to figure out what happened to her twin sister, Cambry, who supposedly had jumped from a bridge in Montana. What follows is Lena’s interactions with a cop who was at the scene, but the pace is slow and the ending fell flat for me. I would still pick up Taylor Adam’s next book though!

I went into this book with such high hopes because I had heard great things about the author's first book but this one just didn't work for me. I listened on audio while also reading my ebook and the narrator's at times just didn't make sense to me. We are following two timelines in this book. The first is in present day and we are following Lena who is trying to figure out what really happened to her sister Cambry 4 months ago. We are also getting the last few hours of what Cambry experienced before she died. Im not really sure what didn't work for me with this one other than everything. I was underwhelemed by the story and the characters, there was a twist towards the end that surprised me but overall just not for me. Thank you Joffe Books and Netgalley for my gifted copy for review.

Honestly I was not sure what to expact of this story. It turned out as something completely different than I'd expacted. I've read No Exit by Taylor Adams and could not quite get the hype over this book.
However Haipin Bridge got me at the end. Like in No Exit Taylor Adams lets the story happen within a short period of time in one place (how does she manage this??) with lots of flashbacks to bring the reader up to the current situation.
Be sure to be confronted with some strong women and lots of 'bad guys' and some real action. Sometimes, IMHO, it was a bit too much action but the end made it for me!
Thanks a lot #Netgalley #Joffe Books for the ARC of this story
