I will not be giving feedback on this book as I couldn’t really get into it but I think others may enjoy it.

This series is so beyond ADORABLE!!! I love these books so much, and blasted through this one as quickly as I did the first, enjoying every second of it.

I didn't realise that this was the second in the series when I requested it so it has taken me a while to get to it! Really enjoyed it along with most of the authors work I have read so far!

This followed much in the vein of the first book so if you enjoyed that one I think it’s worth continuing on. I’m really enjoying Menon’s foray into a different genre and as always I love Menon’s writing style. Definitely recommend!

After not really liking the first book in this series, I don't know why I decided to pick up the second one. I guess I just thought that Of Curses and Kisses was a one-off dislike for me as I have loved all of Sandhya Menon's other books. However, I don't know what it is about the books in this series but I cannot seem to get into them.
One of my main issues about this book is that I cannot seem to care about any of the characters in the books and find myself instantly bored because I had no one to root or care for.
I did love the fact that these books are retellings. This one being a princess and the frog retelling, which is not a story which is retold in books often, so I was looking forward to this because of the premise. However, just like the first book this one fell flat for me and I was very bored and found myself skimming a lot of this book.
I don't think I will stop reading Sandhya Menon's books as I have loved so many of her previous books, but if there are any more books in this series, I don't think I will be picking them up.

I enjoyed Of Curses and Kisses, a Beauty and the Beast retelling, so was highly anticipating this next instalment of the series. I would not say you need to read OCAK first to enjoy this. The Frog Prince is one that rarely gets a retelling so I was intrigued.

I loved the concept of this book, and I felt it well written and highly enjoyable. It's also a great allegory on the importance we place on social media in our times.

A great YA novel.

This was a cute and easy read; I loved the characters and the cover is so adorable!! I think it's a refreshing take on retellings too!!

I enjoyed this second book set in the St Rosetta’s Academy. It is another fun young adult story. It focuses on different characters that we’d met in book one which I enjoyed. I liked reading from the new characters perspectives. Although I’d recommend reading the first book, this could easily be read without doing so.

I first requested this book because I really liked the cover, and I think I like it more every time I see it.

I think this had a little bit of second book syndrome. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed it, it was entertaining. But it just didn’t live up to the hype of the first book.

The characters did get on my nerves a lot, and I think that was my main difficulty, I can’t cope with annoying people haha!

Unfortunately not one for me, but don’t think it’s any reflection on the title or the author as I’ve really enjoyed her other titles. Sadly just couldn’t get on with the characters and this was a DNF for me.

i ADORE this book, and this series! Being the second in the St. Rosetta’s Academy series I was invested instantly! Even though we've met the characters before, you can still read the book on it's own without having to have to read the first one.

I love a good fairytale twist story too so it's perfect! Being a spin off of The Frog Prince, (which I've not read much off around) I really enjoyed it being not your typical fairytale which gets picked for a re-telling.

I love the mix of popular and non-popular coming together and the love and romance and attraction between them is perfect!

I thought this was such an interesting YA read and a different interpretation on young and famous , how their social media image might appear to be perfect but that behind that rose tinted glass they have the same issues as everyone else. I thought this was a wonderful and enjoyable read!

Another fun retelling from Sandhya Menon and the second instalment in her St. Rosetta’s Academy series. The first book, Of Curses and Kisses was a Beauty and the Beast retelling, this one is a Princess and the Frog retelling in Caterina and Rahul’s POV.

I really enjoy Menon’s writing style, her books are quick and easy to read but oh so satisfying! This was another good read, although I didn’t like it quite as much as the first one but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. I think I will definitely continue on with the series to see where it goes next.

I really liked this easy teen romance book.
Socially awkward becomes popular and gets people talking.
I hope there is another book coming I really like how the relationship is between Rahul and caterina and I would like to see where it goes.

Of Princes and Promises is a sweet romance with all of Menon's classic swooniness.

Caterina LaValle is determined to return to school back on top. Mission one: arrive at the biggest ball of the season with a date who will show her ex - and the world - that she's moved on. But she doesn't want to take another Alaric, she needs someone completely new and unexpected - someone like Rahul Chopra. But even with etiquette lessons, new clothes and make up, Rahul doesn't quite fit brief. Could a pot of hair gel with supposedly magical properties turn this frog into a prince and put Caterina back where she belongs?

I was so excited to read this book. It was brilliant returning to the luxury and excess of Rosetta Academy. It's a really fun setting to read about, offering pure escapism with a hint of magic.

The links between this book and the first were fun too. Last book's Ice Queen became this story's heroine, with an ending that looks like a great set up for the next book too.

Of Princes and Promises also has a lovely message about being yourself and not changing for others. Being vulnerable, letting others in and forgiveness.

Sandhya Menon's writing is like a warm hug that envelopes the reader and leaves them feeling loved and comforted.

With thanks to Hodder & Stoughton and Sandhya Menon for an advanced readers copy of this book.

3.5*

This is the second instalment in the St. Rosetta’s Academy series. At the end of book one queen bee Caterina LaValle broke up with her boyfriend Alaric after she found out he was cheating on her. The boy first boy to walk into her path afterwards was none other than Rahul, someone so un-popular too not have been previously worthy of Caterina's attentions. A deal is hatched on Rahul (in disguise) will accompany Caterina to all events as a mystery man, to grab the attention of Alaric.

This is a really cute re-telling of the Princess and frog, a thoroughly enjoyable read. It lacked a little of the magic that I felt from the first book and fell just slightly short of my expectations. However, I am really excited to continue with the series and see how these characters end up.

After absolutely loving Of Curses and Kisses I was super excited to be back at St. Rosetta’s Academy. In Of Princes and Promises we follow Caterina LaValle and Rahul Chopra.

After her public break up with Alaric last semester Caterina is determined to show everyone that she’s still the queen of St. Rosetta’s Academy by bringing a new date to an upcoming gala. Enter Rahul, Rahul and Caterina shared a sweet moment last year but haven’t been in contact since. When Caterina offers a proposition to Rahul to give him a makeover and take him to the gala, Rahul quickly agrees. When Rahul acquires a mysterious pot of hair gel with the power to turn the wearer whatever his heart desires, he transforms himself in RC, a handsome and smooth talking guy. But will this magical pot of hair gel be the ultimate solution or will Rahul find that in becoming RC he will lose other things?

Of Princes and Promises is a fun and heartwarming spin on the tale of The Frog Prince. This was such a lovely, fun and entertaining read. I loved the character development of Caterina and the journey that Rahul goes on. There’s an interesting twist that I didn’t see coming which made for a great ending. Sandhya Menon’s writing pulls you in immediately, is fast paced and builds up these great characters.

I can’t wait to read the next installment in St. Rosetta’s Academy. If you love fun and great twists on fairytales, then you’ll definitely enjoy this series.

A really fun continuation of this series. The romance was really great and very much had a retro 90s feel about the story.
