Anything that promises a more mature storyline draws my attention and with a female officer being at the center of the story, I was hopeful! Each chapter focuses on a new dilemma that the MC, Kawai, faces as a new officer out on the job. I think my lack of enthusiasm comes from the episodic approach of the story--there's not really a plot that draws my attention from chapter to chapter. I'm not invested in her character because of this and we don't really get to know Kawai. She's not particularly invested in being a police officer either, until another female officer joins her team. I'm not sure who the targeted audience for this would be, but I could see people who have worked in the field finding it entertaining. Otherwise, it fell flat for me.

I didn’t really know what to expect from this manga. I was surprised by the drawings, not really my style but still nice I think. They are quite original in my opinion. I don’t know what to think of the story. I mean, there isn’t really a story here. We follow Kawai, a young recruit in the police, who wanted to quit but changed her mind after meeting her new Chief. It is a very sequential manga as each chapter contains its own short story. However, one global theme is the difficulty of being a policewoman and the difficulty of just being in the police. I saw the mangaka was formerly a police officer but this is an information I need to check further. If this is true, I might continue the series because I will be sure the representation is real.
I recommend to people who want a fun and relaxing read.
3/5

Story was disjointed and art was underwhelming!
Appreciate though for Netgalley and Kodansha for giving me this manga for free!
