He knows where you are…
Sisters Molly and Beth Winters thought the remote clifftop house would be the perfect place to hide away after their mother’s brutal murder. They were wrong….
He wants revenge…
Because someone from the girls’ past has already found their safe house and he is watching and waiting in the shadows ready to make them pay.
He won’t stop until you’re dead...
Their new home should have been the place the sisters were safe.
But no place is safe forever.
A pulse-pounding, absolutely gripping and totally addictive page-turner that will have you racing through the pages and reeling at the twists! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’m a real fan of psychological thrillers and have read and reviewed around 20 so far this year. However, for some reason No Place Like Home didn’t give me the roller coaster ride I had anticipated from either the cover tag line or the NetGalley. plot outline. It was clear from the beginning who the mystery voice belonged to. The plot was a good one. Two sisters returning to their deceased mother's home on the cliff near Whitby, trying to escape her violent partner newly released from prison. but it just didn't work for me. I know I’m probably in a minority and there are those who are fans of Lynda Stacey and will enjoy this. Unfortunately, this simply wasn’t for me.
Atmospheric Suspense….
A remote, cliff top house, a place of safety and sanctuary- or so they thought. Sisters, Molly and Beth, trying to find a way to survive in peace and safekeeping following the brutal murder of their mother think that they’ve found the ideal spot but someone is watching. Atmospheric suspense with a well crafted sense of place and credible characters, a tragic storyline, well told, with a slow build of tension.
This book always supposed to be a thriller but it honestly is terrifying. The isolated setting is the perfect place for the terror that unleashed. Cozy up, Turn on your nightlight and get ready to read.
This book is gripping and is full of suspense.
I couldn't put it down. I had plenty of outcomes in my head but none of them actually happened, it's a book that really keeps you guessing.
I loved the cover of this book, simply beautiful and really adds to that eeriness of the story.
Can not wait to read more by Lynda.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’m not sure if I am in the minority on this one but it just felt slightly lagged and slow paced. The twists were slightly easy to figure out and I just didn’t get the excited euphoria of tearing through the pages to get to the end. I just wanted to get to the end to pass the finish line. It just wasn’t for me unfortunately.
Molly and Beth have moved into a new house inherited by their deceased mother’s boyfriend. Secrets are hidden and we get insight of someone creeping onto the property spying on them and wanting something that is inside. The characterization is built well with the sisters but everything else felt a bit lackluster.
Thank you to netgalley and Boldwood Books for the arc in exchange for my honest review.
This book definitely had me getting the heebie jeebies often. There were a few things the main characters did that I thought were pretty silly.. like screaming at the star in the scary movies because they are going back into the room with the killer stupid....but it made for entertaining reading.
Molly and Beth, sisters who now have no parents after a series of unfortunate events and murders. Move Into thier family home that was left to them. They are trying to start fresh, new, and continue on but neither can shake the something is wrong feeling. Doesn't help their "dreamhome" is Cliffside and falling apart. Some thing start to go missing, some strange messages, old flames starting to act abusive, newly released from prison family members. Things are not looking good. There fresh start soon turns into a fight to live.
I enjoyed this book. It came together well. I did find some of the relationships felt fast and forced but that's minor. I suggest you thriller mystery lovers check it out
I was hooked on this book and couldn't put it down. The elements of grief and devastation were captured perfectly and told by someone who knows the loss themselves.
I have loved all of Lynda's books and I really enjoyed this one. I read on my kindle and during a particular scene full of suspense, I received an email to my kindle, which made me nearly jump through the ceiling.
The cover is brilliant, I love all these book covers and the setting is perfect, you can imagine the waves rolling and the day time scenes and night scenes.
Thank you to NetGalley, Boldwood Books and Lynda Stacey for the opportunity to review

The past comes back to haunt the present in this suspenseful tale of loss and deception. The narration adds an element of despair and foreboding to this tragic story of betrayal and devastation.
I absolutely loved the writing. I thought it was highly atmospheric and I could almost believe I was right there
I also enjoyed both sisters’ emotional and meaningful bounding more than the mystery part of the book.
I was hooked from the very start, flying through this book.
