What an enthralling read this was. Started and finished in a day as I was completely engaged in the storyline and couldn’t put it down.

The Walsh family are fairly typical and have their issues, which become more complex as their younger son becomes ill. Their older son becomes involved with a game of date that goes tragically wrong and the life of this family starts to unravel and fall apart.

The story is told in short chapters by multiple narrators and from one to the next it is difficult to see what is going to happen or crop up next in the complex tale. Beautifully written and amongst the story is the strong bond of motherhood and family and just how far you would go to protect your child.

Hugely addictive and a definite 5star read. Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.

All For You is the gripping new thriller by Louise Jensen. Having read previous books by this author I knew I was in for a twisty, turny treat.

I couldn't put the book down after reading the prologue where we are told that Connor has been abducted and other lads have gone missing too.

The story then steps back a few weeks so we can get the build up of events told from the perspective of Lucy the Mother, Aidan the Father and Connor the Son who will become one of the taken.

Each character seems to be hiding a secret that could be the cause of Connor's abduction. I found this a little frustrating and perhaps a little too drawn out. For me it slowed the pace down and I wanted to keep moving after the thrilling prologue.

However the last third of the book made up for this when all the secrets are finally revealed and they are definitely not what I was expecting at all.

I thought this was a really well written and thought provoking read. It makes you question how far you would go to save someone you loved.

A great, fast-paced, intriguing and enjoyable psychological thriller as I’ve come to expect from Louise Jensen books. Be ready for the real gasp moments!
I was absorbed from the moment I started reading and particularly loved the variety of POV, as it gives you a real all-round perspective of events and how twisted they are becoming. The back stories gradually reveal more details about the secrets they are all keeping from each other, which cleverly feed into twists in the plot and build the tension further.
I was constantly trying to put the complex pieces of the puzzle together. There are some really dark moments in the story which made me grimace and feel uncomfortable.
The plot is cleverly constructed and multi-layered, the characters chillingly authentic, all with their own secrets and failings. I particularly liked the strength of friendship between the boys: Connor, Tyler and Ryan and their loyalty to each other. This is a really tense story which had me reading late into the night to finish, as the race to reach a conclusion compelled me on.
I loved the twists and turns and blind alleys. For me personally, I have awarded 4🌟 not 5🌟 (although 4 1/2 would be a fairer rating) as the onslaught of reveals towards the end felt rushed and too sudden, however it is definitely a thrilling read which I strongly recommend.

I am a big fan of Louise Jensen's book. I literally cannot put them down! I was so excited to read All for You.
I did really enjoy this book. The storyline was good and as expected lots of twists and turns. Although this wasn't my favourite of Louise's books, it still kept me gripped and the ending was fantastic. Lots of suspense and mystery.
If you are a Louise Jensen fan you will not be disappointed!
Thank you to Louise Jensen, NetGalley and HQ for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Lucy, Aiden and their son Conor Walsh all have something to hide, but what are they trying to protect, and at what cost?

What a gripping, page turning and well written book this is. I could not put the book down. I had to keep reading to find out exactly what had happened. The youngest son has liver disease and the eldest son is abducted. That's about all I can tell you. The rest of the book, you're better off going in blind. You won't be disappointed. This is a tense and thrilling read that held my attention throughout.

I would like to thank #NetGalley #HQ and the author #LouiseJensen for my ARC of #AllForYou in exchange for an honest review.

Lucy is racing home. She’s just picked up her younger son, Kieron, from hospital where is being treated for Liver failure. She is racing because her older son, Connor (17), is alone at home and not answering his phone. She is racing because Connor’s two great friends have disappeared over the last few days, on separate occasions. The press have labelled the pair as “The Taken”, and her mother’s instinct tells her that Connor may be next. The story then spools back ten days and begins to fill in the background. The three boys have been lifelong friends but last summer, while playing a series of dares during a school residential trip, Connor’s girlfriend, Hailey, had been roped in for the last of these – and there had been a catastrophic accident. We don’t know what happened but, returning to school after the break, the three boys are ostracised and threatened because of what happened to Hailey. Connor is trapped in a world of misery, blaming himself for everything, accusing his mother of loving Kieron and ignoring him, crying at a grave.
His mother Lucy, an orthopaedic surgeon who has left work to devote herself to the care of her son, is certain that he should already be on the transplant list and is constantly arguing with the doctor and with her husband, Adrian, a large animal vet. Adrian has his own problems, particularly a mysterious woman with whom he appears to be having an affair.
The story is a psychological thriller, in the sense that we see the events triangulated from the different views of the Connor and his parents with all their anxieties, uncertainties and convoluted histories and asks questions. What happened to Hailey? Where are the boys? The main stylistic features of such stories are writing at pace, so the reader doesn’t have much time to process, and constantly increasing jeopardy. Louise Jensen is experienced at both of these skills so the overall piece is very satisfactory at that level. I found the actual plot to be over contrived, delaying some information which in reality would be bound to come up in discussions between the protagonists not be concealed or ignored.
I would like to thank NetGalley, the publishers and the author for providing me with a draft proof copy for the purpose of this review.

A very slow and confusing book, everyone has a secret that you don`t find out till near the end so confuses you more.
The story is told through the eyes of the Walsh family all who have secrets,
I found the characters were not explained enough of who they were so ended up writing them down.

Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Looking for a book that will keep you up until the early hours of the morning, unable to stop reading and desperate to find out what’s going on? I’ve been desperate for a book to grip me so uncontrollably, and that’s exactly what you get with All For You.

The story starts with a tense prologue that sees Lucy and Aidan’s son, Connor, go missing, and then skips back ten days to explain how everything built up to this moment. Straight away, your intrigue is grabbed. What happened to these characters? What are they hiding? And why do they all seem so guilty?

All For You is an immensely entertaining, shockingly clever, and brilliantly developed thriller that I absolutely could not put down. I’ve called books “twisty” before but they have nothing on this. As every character feels at blame, each has a secret that they are trying to protect, and they all go in a different direction in an attempt to save their family from the truth, there is so much going on at the end that you have absolutely no hope of predicting how this story will conclude.

It was such an exhilarating journey at the end and I had so much fun being constantly shocked by the various revelations. I have been waiting far too long for a book to have that effect on me so I will definitely be checking out more of Louise Jensen’s books after this.

Lucy races home in a panic when she can't get hold of her eldest son. Two of his friends have already been taken in the last few days. With her youngest son desperately ill, Lucy knows she needs to find Connor.

The book is written from the different perspectives of the main characters. Sometimes this style is clumsy but in this book it works really smoothly. The plot twist at the end caught me completely by surprise and I genuinely didn't see it coming.

an excellent offering from a very talented author.

Absolutely brilliant. A good psychological novel. It deals with all types of family dramas and feelings. Sibling rivalry, guilt and desperation and worry over a sick child. This is well written and guaranteed to keep you reading well into the night. Keeps you guessing right to the end.
Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for the advance copy of this book.

This is a complicated family drama that switches from present to past and character to character. I've read and enjoyed a number of this author's books, but, I'm afraid this wasn't an enjoyable read for me, mainly due to the complexity and confusion of the storyline.

It's essentially a book about a family of 4 who are experiencing tragedy on a number of levels and one of these in particular is tantalisingly 'dangled' in front of the reader for much of the book. I really enjoy suspense, but, this was irritating for me as it went on and on and on.

If you can stick with the book through the slow first half, it does speed up to a satisfying conclusions, but, for me, just an OK read.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for the opportunity to preview.

Now this was a seriously good thriller! I have read quite a few books in the same genre recently and they have all been just ok, I was feeling like the formula was getting tired. But this one, wow! Lucy and Aiden have a lot going on in their lives! Every chapter seemed to end with each family member feeling guilty about something or other and I was starting to think this is going to be such a letdown when we finally find out why! But I have to admit I was really surprised at all the twists, I got them all wrong!
This book went in in directions I definitely didn't anticipate, and I can honestly say this is one of my favourite books of the year. Very cleverly written indeed.

I’ve read and enjoyed all of Louise Jensen’s previous novels and this one was just as good. It follows three members of a family: Lucy the mum, Aidan the dad and Connor their teenage son. In this novel all three of them have their secrets so when threatening messages begin appearing each of them believes these messages are aimed at them. Then one day two of Connor’s best friends go missing and the worry is that Connor might be next. I loved how this novel kept me on my toes. I had my suspicions throughout the novel and some of them proved correct but most were completely wrong as I just didn’t see the bigger picture of what was going on. I sped through this novel and didn’t want to put it down so I definitely recommend it!

Mother Lucy Walsh is at the end of her tether. She is anxious about both of her sons for two vastly different reasons. Her fragility is heart-breaking. She is dealing with so much and she is like the proverbial clown trying to juggle too many balls. Her husband Aidan is trying to be the man of the house and to manage everything in support of his wife, but he just doesn’t quite know what he is dealing with because everyone in the family is, unknowing to him, harbouring secrets. His own secret is another factor for concern.
Connor, aged seventeen, is their eldest son and he is struggling in many ways, but most of all he is trying to hide a guilty secret that he can never divulge. He feels on the edge of everything. His brother, whom he loves unreservedly, is in hospital once again. His best friend Tyler is missing and he doesn’t know what to do without the help of his friend and his family. He doesn’t want to pile more anxiety at his parent’s door.
Kieron is Connor’s brother. He is very brave and thoughtful. He is thirteen years of age and he is a very sick boy, in and out of hospital with a serious disease called Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, a chronic liver disease which can be life threatening. Even Kieron is keeping a secret from his mother (for the very best of reasons) because he doesn’t want to hand out something else that will worry her. He knows how worried she is about him.
Each member of this family are trying to manage their own stresses and anxieties. There are three narrators, Lucy, Aidan and Connor. They each tell the story from their own perspective. They are very careful not to involve Kieron, who is completely unaware of what is going on, except that his big brother has made a comment to him that he doesn’t know how to resolve.
How far would you go to save your son? This is the main focus of this novel. Gradually, one by one, hidden secrets are spilt in shocking and startling revelations. The pace of this intriguing psychological thriller is fast and furious. There are lots of twists and turns, blind alleyways, outright lies, and shocks that will rock you. One in particular leads to the conclusion of the novel and is very satisfying, tying up all of the loose ends. Louise Jensen is a huge talent in this genre. She knows how to manipulate her storyboard to the very best and most surprising outcome. Her storytelling is masterful and the creation and development of her characters spot on. My favourite character was Kieron who is a real sweetheart. He is really brave under the most horrible of conditions. I was challenged to believe some of the content that was a bit inconceivable, but it actually did serve the story well.
I received a complimentary copy of this novel from publisher HQ through my membership of NetGalley. Thank you for my copy sent in return for an honest and unbiased review. ‘All For You’ is an exciting read and my review reflects this fact. It is a 4’5* review from me.

4.5⭐️
A psychological thriller surrounding the lives of the Walsh Family. Parents Lucy and Aidan, sons Connor and Kieron.

The prologue starts in the present then it counts down days before Connor goes missing. There were a group of 3 teenagers. 2 of them have been taken, Connor was the only one remaining.

It’s told from Each of the families points of view.
Lucy comes over as an anxious protective mother. Her anxiety adds tension to the story. There’s a good level of tension and feeling of impending doom. It feels atmospheric and charged with the threat of something bad. There are multiple strands relating to each of the family and their issues, secrets and guilt. They unfold gradually through out the story.
The anguish feels very real. It has a good emotional depth to the characters.
So much going on, with twists and turns keeping me engrossed throughout.
I loved it.

I usually love Louise Jensen's novels and as soon as I saw this was available to read on Netgalley I rushed to request it however this one fell a bit short of her other novels for me. It was an enjoyable enough thriller, with twists and turns that I'm really sure others will enjoy but I found the them obvious and the storyline a bit too unbelievable.

I've read many of Louise Jensen's other books and so was very excited to receive an ARC of this. Unfortunately I did not enjoy this as much as her previous novels. In this book Jensen creates a family who we find alot out about as the narrative unfolds. The majority of the story is told through the eyes of Lucy, narrated in the first person. We find out early on that Lucy is a mother of Kieron, who is her teenage son in desperate need of a liver transplant. Lucy also has an older child Connor, and a husband Aiden. Lucy arrives home from attending a medical appointment with Kieron, only to find Connor gone, with the front door of the family home open, a broken vase and a blood stain. It is here the story then unfolds, going back ten days previous 'before Connor is taken'. Whilst the story is told from the different viewpoints of the various characters in the book, helping to slowly unravel events, it is also implied that every key character has a secret of some kind. With this is mind, it was quite apparent as you read that things were not as they seemed and that there was obviously going to be if not one, but a number of twists. However, I could not help but feel this style of writing has been done many times before; whilst the way the narrative was constructed helped to set things up for the final revelation, this did seem to form so much of the first half of the novel that it let the pace down somewhat, and so I began wondering where the story was going and hoping the twist at the end would be worth continuing with reading. That said, I did not guess the ending, and all loose ends were tied together, in a well structured and well written way. However, I'm just not sure how original using this style of narrative to tell the story was as previously mentioned, which is a shame as the premise of the book when I got to the end was actually quite fascinating. For me, especially the first half of the book, I felt like it had been done before, and too much emphasis was put on this. My thanks go out to netgalley and HQ stories at Harper Collins publishers for the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this.

Wow, this was a total page turner and I was gripped from the get go. I haven’t read any books previously by this author but I will be looking for other works now. From start to finish this book kept me guessing. A thoroughly enjoyable and captivating read and I would highly recommend it.

This book is full of suspense and drama as it explores what somebody may be capable of if pushed too it, at some points the suspense was almost too much and I just needed to know what was going to happen. There were some bits I was able to work out, and many I didn’t expect! I did enjoy that it kept me guessing though and I couldn’t put the book down!
