So many secrets in one family and it makes for a whole lot of tension. It builds steadily until it explodes at the end. I didn't see this part coming at all!
Meet the Walsh family who all have their own problems and concerns which they tend to keep to themselves. In the meantime each one of them is unraveling. I liked the tense start and the end but not so much the middle section. Especially the major mistake. Lucy (mother and wife) was slightly unhinged the way she always thought she was right and no one could persuade her otherwise. That got irritating very quickly. The rest of the family, Aiden (husband) and sons Connor and Kieron were mainly her doormats and behaved accordingly. However there were twists galore and the author kept the tension going. I have enjoyed Louise’s books previously but this one didn’t quite reach the mark. Nevertheless it is still a decent holiday read!
Lucy’s family is hanging by a thread & she’ll do anything to save it. Her youngest son has a life threatening condition, her eldest son, Connor, has lost his first love & blames Lucy, her husband Aidan can hardly keep his double life under wraps….
Then her sons two best friends go missing, and Connor is next.
This one kept me guessing, I didn’t expect what happened and raced through to find out. If you love a family drama thriller, this one’s for you!
Louise never fails to amaze me with all her books and this one is no different, fast paced and super twisty I thoroughly enjoyed it, read in two sittings and can’t wait for her next one! Must buy
Very good read. Majestic you think about what you have and how quickly it can change. Very well written without being sickly.
I found this frustrating to read and a little all over the place. The second half of the book was better.

This was a bloody good thriller. Split into three parts, with short chapters switching between each family member’s perspectives, this was a pulse-pounding, suspenseful read FULL of twists and turns. I was intrigued straight away from the tense prologue, which describes the day a boy goes missing, and part one is set in the run up to this event happening.
The plot was brilliantly developed and will keep you guessing throughout, with clues cleverly laid out and twists revealed agonizingly slowly to create tension and build up towards the satisfying ending. The first half of this book is definitely slower as it’s very unclear what the clues and hints are relating to but the second half is very fast-paced and I couldn’t turn the pages quick enough. I guessed a few of the subplots but for someone who’s normally a pro at plot twists, I really didn’t see the major ones coming!
Side note: I’d seen mention of a gruesome scene taken too far in nearly every Netgalley review and despite not being particularly squeamish when it comes to gory thrillers, this one chapter made me feel very uncomfortable and I had to skim over it (torture related for anyone wanting a warning).

Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.
It starts with what seems like a normal family, a mum, dad and two sons but as the story evokes there’s more to it than that.
It is heavily focused on the oldest son’s life, Connor. A tragedy as a baby has left a deep rooted sense of guilt in him. Add to that a terrible accident for his girlfriend on a school trip and he’s carrying around a lot of regret and blames himself for the events.
Just when you think you have the plot all figure out another angle is told and you’re back to square one!
I preferred the second half of the book as more happened and it all started to make sense.
Some of it seemed a bit far fetched but what lengths would you go to to save your child’s life?
I enjoyed the book and would recommend it.
Well, I weren’t expecting that ending. This book is fantastic.
Lots of times I thought I knew what was going on and what the outcome would be, yet every time I was wrong.
I would highly recommend this book.
A good read
A good thriller
Plenty of twists and turns
Will keep you guessing
Will read more from this author
Thanks NetGalley
A fast paced, twisty thriller that had me guessing all the way through the book.
When two friends go missing, the third in the group begins to wonder if it will be him next.
Told across a number of points of view and times the story is quickly built with clues deliberately dropped or details left out to keep the reader guessing.
Unfortunately for me, the ending of the story being so outrageously unbelievable made me drop to 3 stars. That, alongside a sometime stilted narrative as key information is twisted or missed out. Not one I will be encouraging others to buy I am afraid.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in return for an unbiased review.
This book kept me coming back to find out what was going to happen next. It was a very interesting read which left me guessing throughout. I definitely wouldn't have guessed the ending which is refreshing in a book as most books are very predictable.
There were a lot of loose ends that needed tying up at the end of the book but they seem to have all been covered.
I was utterly gripped by this fast paced, twisty story.I literally couldn’t put it down as the tension built. I loved the relationships between the characters and the way the plot wove the story to its thrilling climax was genius. Highly recommend.
Now THIS is what you call a page turner... I'm still trying to catch my breathe and lower my heart rate now!
Now we all know just how bloody masterful Louise Jenson is in this genre. She has some serious talent at grabbing hold of the readers attention super quick and not letting a seconds distraction get in the way.
Amazingly plotted with jaw dropping twists and turns, you'll have to pick your chin up off the floor in some parts... it's just fabulous.
The tension builds stronger and stronger throughout the storyline and leaves you on the edge of your seat... exactly what you expect from a psychological thriller but the author exceeds this in abundance.
The characters are fantastically written and built up. Part One gives you information on the characters but will leave you shouting at the book with questions... hang fire.. Part Two will explain EVERYTHING!
As a parent I was sucked in from the very first chapter because as a parent our job is to protect our children at all costs but even if you are not a parent there isnt a chance in hell that this will not resonate with you.
An utterly addictive tale that will leave you gasping and gagging for more but wanting to also slow time down so that the book won't end.
HUGE thanks to netgalley and HQ for the amazing ARC.
This book has many themes: teenage relationships, a family who have a seriously ill child, guilt and secrets - a brilliant combination fr a great book. I liked the use of the different characters alternating each chapter with only Lucy, the Mum being related in the first person. The story unfolds like peeling an onion with each stage showing just a little more or creating another tangent. All the characters were well drawn and mostly likeable. The unsaid event that the three teenage friends and one of them’s girlfriend experienced is a pivotable part of the story and we get glimpses of what had happened. Then one by one the boys disappear! Great tension and page turning.
Yet another brilliant book from Louise Jenson. This had me on the edge of seat all the way through. So many threads, so many twists. Such a great read. Thank you Netgalley for my ARC.
I’ve enjoyed many of Louise Jensen’s books and this one does not disappoint either.
Told in the perspectives of the main characters, husband and wife Aiden and Lucy Walsh, their son Connor and his friend Ryan, the story revolves around the Walsh family as they all struggle with secrets and guilt.
Connor and his friends Ryan and Tyler are kidnapped, but not all is as it seems and has the book proceeds we slowly discover their secrets and what is causing all their guilt and anguish.
But the ending! I definitely had no idea of where the story was going, what a shock!
Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for letting me review this book.
This book is about the Walsh family. Lucy has given up her career as a doctor to look after Kieron, her thirteen year old son who has a chronic liver disease and is need of a transplant. Her husband Aiden is a vet and they also have another son Connor who is seventeen years old. We discover that the family are all hiding secrets. Connor is struggling with guilt after his girlfriend died on a school residential course. When two of his friends who were with him on the course go missing Lucy is convinced that Connor will be next. Are these disappearances linked to events that happened on the course? We find that Aidan is meeting with a woman unbeknown to Lucy and his secrets could destroy his marriage and his career. The story is told mainly by Lucy with chapters from the other members of the family and we learn snippets of their past as the story unfolds. I found this an addictive read as the secrets and lies spiral out of control with plenty of twists and turns thrown in. A highly recommended read.
Thanks to Netgalley and HQ for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
This author always delivers a mind blowing book and this was just that, I actually wanted more at the end of it, even though it ended great I have to say but one of those books you do not want to put down at all…
The Walsh family - Lucy, Aidan and their sons Connor and Kieran - are struggling to cope with all their secrets and dramas. Connor was involved in an incident on a school trip which obviously had serious consequences for somebody, and when his school mates disappear, his life descends further into despair. Meanwhile Lucy is battling to find a cure for Kieran’s disease.
To be honest, I found All for You a little disappointing. There was so much going on, almost too much at times, that it lost the reality for me. The big reveals of all the hype from the start were a bit of a damp squib.
Sorry, not one for me.
