All for you by Louise Jenson.
MEET THE WALSH FAMILY
Lucy: Loving mother. Devoted wife. And falling to pieces.
Aidan: Dedicated father. Faithful husband. And in too deep.
Connor:Hardworking son. Loyal friend. But can never tell the truth.
Everyone in this family is hiding something, but one secret will turn out to be the deadliest of all.
This was a great read with some good characters. Lots of twists. Had me hooked. Did not see that coming. 5*.

This is a very good and sometimes a hard read.
The characters come across strongly and the family setting is believable.
The story is mainly told by Lucy, the mom, Aidan, the husband and Conner the eldest son.
As the youngest son Thirteen year old Kieron is extremely ill and the family tries to keep everything together but when something tragically happens to the family how are they all going to cope?

As the story unfolds we find that the family have so my secrets from each other it's bound to explode at one point and when it does expect some serious fireworks!

Really loved this book it's a definite 5 star book. I could not put this book down. I thought I kind of knew where this book was going but after half way all of that got turned on its head. I did not see the twists and turns coming. This really does keep you gripped from beginning to end. Fantastic read.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC.

Lucy, Aiden and Connor. A family all holding their own secrets, lies and guilt.

All to blame for terrible things but who will eventually destroy the family?

This was a really gripping page turner but the climax went a bit too far which dropped it down to 4 stars for me. I would still highly recommend.

Hurrah! One of my favourite authors Louise Jensen is back with her new psychological thriller All for You. She is in my humble opinion a queen of this genre, someone you can totally rely on to deliver a good paced, well plotted tense and twisty read. She is consistently at the top of her game and I haven’t yet read a book of hers that I didn’t love. So with extremely high expectations I couldn’t wait to get stuck into this storyline which begins with a fabulously tense prologue. Rain, roadworks and too many red traffic lights are causing Lucy’s levels of panic and anxiety to spiral out of control as she heads home from a hospital appointment with son Keiron. Already consumed with worry over his illness, Lucy fears elder son Connor, left behind at home, has been Taken when he fails to answer his phone. Lucy’s concern is justified as Connor’s two best friends Ryan and Tyler have recently disappeared without a trace. Is Connor the third victim?

Narrated mainly by Lucy, husband Aiden and Connor, Louise Jensen rewinds to events prior to Connor being taken, plunging the reader into the bosom of this family which is disintegrating by the day. Really the central theme of this gripping psychological thriller is guilt and for a myriad of reasons which are tantalisingly revealed all these characters are drowning in it. Her depiction of families broken apart by negative emotions like guilt and regret is second to none. She recognises the fragility of life, the power of love and the destructive nature of secrets. In this instance she focuses on the effects life with a child suffering from a life limiting illness has on every member of the household, in particularly the mother. However your heart goes out to all of them as the author captures the gut wrenching fear, torment and lack of control over the future that accompanies every moment, with Aiden and Connor’s perspectives equally compelling and illuminating. Louise Jensen handles this aspect beautifully giving her readers some insight into a scenario that truthfully is hard to imagine but she pulls it off! Love is everywhere in this thriller, whether that be in its purest form or whether it’s of the twisted out of shape, lost its way variety. It propels the narrative forward so that whilst Kieron’s chronic liver disease directly influences these characters behaviour it’s not the only factor. Home is no longer a safe, happy place to be. Every member of this family seem disconnected from one another, the communication lines are down and they are trapped in their own little bubbles of unhappiness, weighed down with individual secrets. The air is oppressive and thick with them, a jumpy, jittery, nerve jangled Lucy only making things worse, a woman who senses and sees danger everywhere whilst the reclusive Connor is battling demons of his own, a shadow of his former self. The atmosphere is also frighteningly tense, of the tiptoeing on eggshells variety and it crackles with the possibility that all it will take is one wrong move and lives will implode. As a life (or lives) hang precariously in the balance whose secret is the most damaging? Louise Jensen’s style of writing is the kind that keeps you in suspense and gives your grey matter a vigorous workout. Her characterisation is brilliant throughout.

Every time I pick up a Louise Jensen psychological thriller I tell myself that this time she will NOT fool me, that this time she will NOT lead me into a maze of dead ends but once again she comes out victorious! That’s why she’s a queen of misdirection! I honestly thought I had the plot all sussed out but it turns out I was nowhere near! Those feelings remind me of playing the game snakes and ladders when you’re nearly at the finish line and you land on a snake taking you all the way back to square one; that is what all her red herrings (of which there are plenty) to do me. One day Louise maybe you won’t get the better of me! Joking aside, there’s no fun in reading a thriller if the author makes the guessing game too easy so I’m not really complaining!

Okay, so all in all my thoughts are tremendously positive. However in an effort to offer a balanced review I do have a criticism to voice and that is concerned with the ending which teeters on the edge of outlandish. I don’t know if it stretches the themes of the novel a tad too far, particularly the question of how far you’re prepared to go for the ones you love, but it does relate well to the title. Months after reading this (oops confession time…I forgot to write my review!) I’m still in two minds! Anyway love or hate the ending the journey to that point is as deliciously entertaining as always. Would I recommend to fellow fans of the genre? Absolutely! If like me you love Adele Parks novels then you’ll also love this one!

My thanks as always to the publisher HQ and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read in exchange for an honest review.

Oooo I do love a dysfunctional family and this is as dysfunctional as you get. Chock full of secrets, lies and duplicitous behaviour, we follow Lucy, Aiden and their son Connor as they all try and keep their mistakes and secrets hidden from each other. And then there's Kieron, an innocent in all of this. But he has his own challenges to face.
The twists and turns come thick and fast and this pretty much matches the pace. We flit between characters and also in time as many threads initially weave around and about and then start to come together as the story progresses. It was so good that, for once, I actually didn't mind the fact that the author Kept Blooming Going On About THAT THING That Happened Last year... Usually I find that this builds things up too much and then I feel let down when I find out what the Big Thing was and it didn't stand up to the oodles of things I thought it could be.
I know I usually say this with most books of this genre but I really would recommend you go in as blind as you can. There is so much that really needs to be discovered at the right time, as the author intends, for maximum impact. It would be a shame if you inadvertently saw something...
I will say however, if you are still reading, that the characters are wonderful and very well crafted. I managed to easily connect to them and, as with most books of the genre, I switched my feelings about certain of them along the way, sometimes a few times. The story is very well plotted and that plot well executed. It hits the ground running and the pace is pretty fast all the way through. There are a few slower moments which I found useful to regroup and catch my breath, but it wasn't too long before it all started up again!
And the ending when it eventually came, after delivering multiple shocks along the way, was darned near perfect. And which left me wholly satisfied. And shocked. I really didn't see the half of it all. All in all, another cracking read to add to an already well impressive substantial back catalogue. Roll on next time. My thanks go to the Publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book.

From start to finish this psychological thriller had me hooked. The family are hiding secrets. The youngest son Kieron is seriously ill. Mum Lucy and Dad Aidan are falling apart. The oldest son, Cameron, is in turmoil after two of his friends have disappeared. He's next.

Told from different points of views which is great because you get to see what each one is thinking. With lots of layers and lots of twists and turns this is such a great page turner. Brilliantly written and I will be looking out for more books from this author.

This was my first book by Louise Jensen. It is a ood psychological thriller. It had me turning the pages from the start wanting to keep going to the end. We'll written with a good mix of interesting characters. The story is told from multiple points of view, Lucy, Cameron and Aidan. It had plenty of twists and turns. The ending was good but it did go off on a slight detour towards the end. All loose ends were tied up. If you enjoy psychological thrillers this will be for you. You may think you know what is happening but Louise Jensen keeps you thinking until the end

I love Louise Jensen's books and this one was no exception. I was completely gripped from the first page right up to the last. It had cleverly written, interesting characters and a fantastic storyline full of twists, turns, secrets and lies.
I highly recommend this and all Louise Jensen's previous books.

Thank you to NetGalley and HQ for my ARC.

I'm afraid I just couldn't get into this book so it would be unfair to post reviews consensual media. Just not for me.

Thanks to Netgalley and HQ Stories for this ARC.
This book was amazing. Felt empathy with all the characters they were all so well formed and had a meaningful part in the story. Lucy did what any mother would do to protect her son but unfortunately in focusing so much on him lost contact with her husband and other son which I imagine happens quite often.
The inclusion of the other boys and the residential trip and it’s consequences added to the intrigue. Didn’t particularly like the ending but understand why it finished that way.
Will certainly lookout for the authors next book.

Well that was some thriller. Just brilliant!
It had me hooked from page one and didn’t let up until the after final page. And then I could finally breathe! This book is definitely up there with some of the best psychological thrillers I have read and I will without a doubt be reading more from this author. This is her 7th book so I have plenty to catch up on.

With a mother’s instinct that something bad has happened, Lucy speeds home from a hospital appointment with her teenage son who is seriously ill. She has a feeling something bad has happened to her 17 year old son, Connor, who stayed at home alone. She returns to find him gone, the front door open and blood on the wall.

Connor, had been worried as both of his friends had disappeared over the last few days. He was convinced the disappearances were linked to something they were involved in on a school trip last year, when something bad happened to his girlfriend. He thought he could be next to be taken and had been nervous about leaving the house.

Connor had been hiding his guilt over what happened on the trip and couldn’t talk to anyone about it. Lucy and Aiden, his parents, also have their own secrets which are not revealed until late in the book.

This book is so cleverly written. It leads you down a road. Many roads. You think you know where you are heading. You will be wrong. I can’t believe there were so many twists and red herrings I just didn’t expect!

I would recommend this to lovers of really good unpredictable psychological th

I'm not sure how to review this book. I was thoroughly enjoying the story for the first two thirds of the book, with its hints of secrets and terrible happenings in the past. The final third, however, I found to be such a contrast, with a major personality change for one character (or maybe I just didn't pick up on it) and I'm not sure how I felt about that. However, I thought the ending was good on the whole. I don't know, I'm just not sure about this one - 3.5 stars.

All for You is Louise Jensen’s 7th novel. She is very popular and there are many 5 star reviews out there. Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy it that much but can completely get why so many enjoyed it.
It is a psychological thriller told at a high tempo, breathless pace. Parents Lucy and Aiden have 2 sons: Keiron who has a life threatening illness, and Connor who is dealing with the ramifications of a stupid prank he was involved in the summer before. Now someone seems to be watching them and they all begin to feel threatened.
There are endless twists and turns and red herrings everywhere. However, if you think about some aspects of the plot for a few seconds it really doesn’t make sense and by the end it is totally, outlandishly unbelievable.
It’s a fun and undemanding read.
Thank you to #netgalley and #HQstories for allowing me to review this ARC.

This is the best psychological thriller I’ve read in a while. I was gripped from the minute I read the prologue, set in the present. Then the book counts down the days until Connor goes missing; told from the perspective of his family members. Honestly this is so good. The tension really ratchets up as the book goes on and you wonder just what’s coming next. This is going to be one of my reads of the year for certain.

Briefly, Connors brother Kieron is seriously ill and it’s affecting the whole family. But they are all hiding secrets, and the family unit is breaking down, it’s Kieron that is holding them together. Connor has two best friends Tyler and Ryan and they have both gone missing, Connor is next…

The emotion around Kieron’s illness is palpable, Lucy in particular is very anxious all the time, Aiden feels left out and Connor thinks his mother loves Kieron more than him. As well as this sterling cast of characters his best friends and their families are all having issues and something has happened to Connors girlfriend Hailey. Yes there is a lot going on but despite the numerous strands to this story they all interweave beautifully and seamlessly. Yes and there are plenty of those twists and turns that you need in a psychological thriller and a completely shocking reveal near the end that I never saw coming. Brilliant book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was given an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an independent review.
I was hooked from the very start at of this book. It was a gripping psychological thriller which did not go where I though it was going.
Cleverly written, some damaged characters, interesting storylines.
Well worth reading if this is your genre.

An excellent psychological thriller that I couldn’t put down. It kept me gripped right until the end! I also could not have predicted the ending or worked out the reason why!

A tragic event leads to Lucy and her son Connor both blaming themselves for what happened to Connor’s girlfriend, Hailey. Aidan, Lucy’s husband, also has his own secrets. Each chapter is told from the perspective of one of the three of them and it works really well.

I kept wanting to jump ahead to find out what happened but made sure I didn’t!!

This is the first book in a long time that I genuinely couldn't put down. It's difficult to review without giving spoilers, basically every assumption I'd made from the beginning was challenged or turned on its head as the story progressed. Very clever writing and tying the ends together. I did like that we had a chapter at the end a few months on from the main events where we saw how the characters had been affected. A great read, and a real thrill ride! #netgalley #allforyou

Someone bought me one of Louise Jensen book as a gift and I really enjoyed it. So, when I saw she had a boo on here. I knew I had to read it.
This was a really good psychological thriller. When I thought I worked out who was behind it all. I was disappointed especially as it seemed so easy to solve and not at all wow factorish. But I was wrong!
And I did get the WOW factor and it was amazing!

The story features the Walsh family, Aidan a vet, Lucy a doctor and their children Connor and Kieran.
Kieran is ill and it takes its toll on Lucy who gives her job to care for him.

An event happened one summer when Connor and his friends were involved something that went wrong. Something that never spoke of. What did Connor and his friends do?

Then the three of them go missing.. Who has taken the boys and is it connected?

All For You introduces us to the Walsh family; Lucy, Aidan and their two sons Connor and Keiron. Connor is in his final year at school and can't wait to leave, Keiron has an illness which is preventing him doing normal every day things and Lucy's time is spent mainly looking after him, they are all dealing with life as best as they can but Lucy, Aidan and Connor all have secrets which they would prefer to keep hidden, we all know that secrets have a habit of getting out, how far will they go to protect the ones they love?

The story is told by Lucy, Aidan and Connor, it starts as a slow burner, with Jensen teasing the reader throughout with little snippets of the secrets that the main characters are hiding, only giving so much away, increasing the tension with every chapter until the full extent of what is happening explodes on the pages right before your eyes. The plot is extremely well crafted, showing just how far someone will go to help those they love, regardless of the consequences they may face. This book has so many twists and turns I felt dizzy and when one particular revelation came to light, I found myself swiping back through the pages of my kindle to see if I'd read it correctly! Louise Jensen knows how to draw her readers in and she succeeds again with this, her latest thriller, All For You, perfectly. I devoured this story in a matter of hours, and if real life hadn't intervened I would have finished it a lot sooner, when I wasn't reading it I found myself thinking about it and itching to pick my kindle up again to carry on where I left off. This is definitely one you do not want to miss!

I'd like to thank HQ and Netgalley for the auto approval, I will post my review on Goodreads now and Amazon on publication day.
