I did not realize this was the third book in a series, so I've stopped reading until I can go back and read the first two.

I was thrilled to discover a second book in this series! I so thoroughly enjoyed the first book that I simply could not wait to start reading this second one. I was not disappointed!!! Ms. Christy Cooper-Burnet did it again!!!

I loved how characters from the first book were brought into the second. I don't mean the main characters who do the time traveling, etc, but rather one that was a criminal who was sent to the past for his crime. We got to know him in the first book as. he truly redeemed himself in helping the other time travelers when they got trapped back in time for 6 months. As a result, they transported him to a little less hostile era that was in a better location...1867 Oklahoma from 1335 England. Christine also arranged for the man she got to know in 1867 Oklahoma to help Malcolm (the prisoner) to have a better chance to survive.

This story developed into such a rich storyline involving Hannah Cole, an abused housewife in 2017, and the rest of the cast. Hannah's husband was a police officer who held a lot of power. He was in a network of individuals from many positions which involved many illegal activities. Once when Hannah tried to report her husband to the chief officer, it came back to worse abuse as he was part of this network. Hannah met Christine at some point during a party in the past, and remembered her position as a transporter of those who commit cyber-crimes. She talks Christine into meeting with her, and convinces her to help her escape her abusive husband...by helping her learn how to commit a cyber-crime and get sent to the past. Christine arranges for Jon and Malcolm (from 1867 Oklahoma) to help Hannah to survive there. Malcolm and Hannah end up together and very happy. However, her husband from 2070 does not let go easily of what he believes belongs to him. He sends a future criminal after her when he finds one who is destined to the same location (thru his network of crime cronies). She gets pulled into a much later era, and this leads Hannah and her crew to search for her and go further into the past to rescue her.

I loved how Ms. Cooper-Burnett did not leave wide open endings, but yet left lots of room for another book in the series. We learned about how everyone ended up after years in the future (those sent to the past), and felt like the book was left on a very solid note. I simply am very excited to read the next book in this series. I was just approved to read it thru netgalley, so it will be the next one I review!!! Happy Reading!

What a great read. Time travelling at it's best. A young woman is desperate to flee her brutal husband and asks for help which involves travelling to and living in a different time. This book ticks all of the boxes, romance, suspense and time travel. I will add this author to my list of books to read.

This is the second book in this series, and the second book I've read by this author. The concept of a team of escorts taking cyber offenders to the past where they have no computers or internet is an interesting one. The characters are engaging and memorable. However, when I read a time travel book, I am interested in the history of the time periods visited. We do not really get much of that here as the story is more focused on the relationships between characters and the overarching plot that is brewing in the future..

Although this is an interesting story, the use of present tense is a little off-putting. I also read the first book in the series, but the present tense is a lot more noticeable in this one, so the book just never really flowed well for me.

Building on the previous book “No Way Home,” author, Christy Cooper-Burnett, finds another score in the latest novel “Finding Home.” The same main characters appear again but with a little different twist.

In the first novel we are introduced to a governmental way of dealing with those so-called victimless crimes like cybercriminals and other white-collar crimes. The convicted culprits are simply transported backward in time to where the criminal will not have the ability to continue his or her crimes.

They are not just shipped without some training or just dropped off in a previous timeline. There is a minimal amount of training along with vaccinations against all the known diseases of the era. Additionally, the person being transported is given period clothing to fit in and some beginning health supplies like MREs and clean water as well as a vial of antibiotics.

This story is a bit different that the first which was quite adventuresome with transporter malfunctions and the transporter being stranded for a long time in Oklahoma in the mid-19th century. Being there so long she develops some friendships and survives. Another time jump back to medieval England rounds out that story.

Nothing quite as dramatic this time but the transportee commits a crime to be deliberately sent back and enlists one of the transporters to help. So off she goes to Oklahoma with a jealous husband who is a cop on her trail even through time. What happens is entertaining and suspenseful.

Forgot to throw in that there is also a love story developing back in Oklahoma and this somewhat complicates the rest of the plotline. But with these various threads, Cooper-Burnett ties them together in an entertaining story in the second novel in her time-travel series. A third novel is also in the works called “Escaping Home,” expected in late 2021.

Not normally a fan of love stories this one as well as the first grabbed my attention – perhaps due to the science fiction aspect. I really enjoyed reading about Cyber Criminal Enforcement Agent Christine Stewart who liven in 2071 Los Angeles and her adventures moving back and forth through time.
