A real modern day Cinderella story, however it is so much more than a romance novel. Self disovery, unexpected friendship and life changing events.
Fran has moved from London to Sheffield with her fiance when he has been left his Nanna's house. She promised that she would no longer take any jobs which involved her being away from home, but when a 5 day job comes up that sounds too good to be true, Fran can't resist. At the interview for the job as a PA, she isn't told much about the job but she will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement and be ready to take the job in a few days.
Fran is soon flying to Italy where she boards a billionaire's yacht. Her job was to take care of the famous diva, singer, Juliette. To stop her drinking too much, and to make sure she arrived on time and sober at the World famouse Crystal Ball where she was performing. Not as easy as it sounds!

A lovely rom com story.
We watch as our main character takes a chance and gets whisked away on a crazy adventure!
A bit far fetched in places, but that just adds to the humour of the situations she finds herself in!
All in all a great read

What happens when you wish your life could change? Fran becomes acting assistant to a celebrity, on a yacht in the Mediterranean, on her way to an Italian Island that is home to the world’s rich and famous. Then she bumps into a handsome American called Evan and some kind of magic begins. They come from totally different worlds as Evan is from the Glitz and Glammer but he promises her one unforgettable night where everything could change.
I love the excitment as well as the romance in this story. Its also got some funny moments too that had be laughing to myself.
Brilliant, loveable characters and in a great setting.
Great story to read to whisk you away from everyday life.

Thank you to HarperCollins and NetGalley for the complimentary copy of On a Night Like This by Lindsey Kelk.
So sweet, although at times a bit far fetched, but when aren't these romance novels like that? This book was a feel good story where the main character, Fran, is stuck in a frustrating (to me) relationship with her long term boyfriend. A great opportunity arises where Fran can't say no. As the story unfolds we meet a variety of characters who all, in one way or another, help Fran understand that where she is currently, is not the same as how she sees her own situation. A chance encounter with a charming man opens up Fran's heart and even though she does the right thing and says she is in a relationship, something has sparked.
As a romantic at heart, this has all the right elements to create a very sweet story where you hope that the chance encounter results in a meaningful, long term relationship. This did not disappoint.

Absolutely loved this book just sorry it took me so long to get round to reading it. A lovely feel good fairytale of a story with fabulous settings and characters.

I love a romance and this was perfection! This author has quickly become a favourite of mine! A great well written book with great chemistry

A fun rom com, perfect to read at Christmas when you’re full of dinner and sleepy. An easy read, but full of heart and emotion.

Review
Well I did laugh when I started this book, Fran lived in Sheffield and worked as a executive assistant.
The plot was typical for a book of this genre, cliche and predictable.
However I really enjoyed it, it made me laugh and I read it in a day.
It would make a good holiday read.
Rated 4/5

The writing style is engaging and humorous, making it a perfect book for a cozy night in or a summer holiday. While the plot may be predictable at times, the charming characters and witty dialogue kept me entertained. Overall, "On a Night Like This" is a delightful contemporary romance novel that is worth a read.

I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x

Sometimes I just like to read a nice fun lighthearted book so I always go for one by the talented Lindsey Kelk and I'm never disappointed.
Fran gets offered the opportunity of a lifetime to go and work as an assistant for a celebrity on a glitzy yacht on the Mediterranean which is heading to the very well known crystal ball, with no idea who the mysterious celebrity is Fran makes a split decision and much to her surly boyfriends annoyance accepts the once in a lifetime offer.
This is a brilliantly hilarious yet at times very touching book about hopes and dreams, falling in love and friendship , fantastically written and the story flows really well.

Didn’t enjoy this book, too dragged on and far fetched. Wouldn’t buy this or recommend to anyone. Was boring.

Loved this from start to finish. Rom com with great characters and a great story. This is a feel-good book which would make a great movie. It's a must-read

What a truly stunning read this book is and Lindsey never fails to disappoint. Heart warming and beautifully written.

My first read by this author and I loved it.
Fran goes against her boyfriend's wishes to travel to London for a job interview. Once there, events spiral and she finds herself on a luxury yacht working for a very difficult client. Amongst the chaos she finds herself at an exclusive A list celebrity party, wearing designer clothes and drinking champagne with a gorgeous man who has no idea she's a gatecrasher.
Fun and uplifting escapist rom-com with great plot and characters.

I Would definitely recommend. It is a great read
