Loved this book. Easy read and I finished it pretty quick. All the characters were likeable and I loved the fact it wasn’t all just about the romance it was about Frans journey to find herself and make a better life. Definitely recommended.

Instant holiday feeling guaranteed
Feel-good escapist romantic chick lit, best taken all at once on a cold, rainy weekend, curled up in front of the fire - instant holiday feeling guaranteed! Thank you NetGalley and HarperCollins UK for letting me read an ARC in return for my honest opinion.

Fran's life has been in a rut for longer than she can remember so to try and breathe some joy back in to it she decides to take a mysterious PA job to a very high profile celebrity, Juliette. Fran's main job is to get Juliette to the Crystal Ball, a secret party that caters for the world's most rich and famous in Italy. It's on this night that things will forever change for Fran. Can one night really can change your life?

I adored Lindsey's I Heart series and other books, so when I seen this on NetGalley I had to request it! It was definitely a cute read, a modern twist on the Cinderella story, but I just couldn't connect with it as much as I wanted to. I loved the premise of it but it was claimed in reviews to be 'wildly romantic' and I just wasn't feeling it. I felt there was a lack of chemistry between the love interest and Fran. Also, the Crystal Ball is hyped as this star studded secret party and the only people Fran meets at it are horrible and snobby. It would have been cute to have an interaction with a famous person, even a fictional one on similar standing to Julliette. Fran was definitely settling with her lot in life so I did like to see her personal transformation, putting herself first.

Oh I loved this book! This will be joining my list as one of my favourite books this year.
Fran Cooper isa jobless PA, living with her longtime boyfriend and fiancé Stew in Sheffield after he inherits his manna’s house, moving back there after living in London. Tired of being out of work, she rings an agency and this leads to a short term post being a PA for a mysterious celebrity.
A few hours later, she is on a luxury yacht with the superstar Juliette who is due to perform at the spectacular Crystal Ball, on the island Panarea where tickets cost thousands of dollars.
After docking on the island to perform an errand for Juliette, she literally bumps into the gorgeous Evan in a local shop. When she is abandoned on the island, she gatecrashes the ball and again encounters Evan,
This is a fabulous story, Fran is a funny, warm character, Evan is gorgeous and it is so refreshing for a superstar who is neither a diva or over the top friendly.
Whilst romance is obviously strong in this Cinderella style story, this deals a lot about friendship.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my review.

A wuick, easy and adorable read. It was well written with great characters that were really well developed and a great storyline. I loved it and didnt want it to end but i also couldnt stop reading.

What a great Cinderella story. Out of work girl in a relationship that was definitely not working. Goes on a temp job in London, ends up as PA to a spoilt megastar. During this time things don't go according to plan, she gets to borrow a designer dress to go to an amazing charity Chrystal Ball and meets an amazing stranger who she instantly falls for. Great descriptions of situations, behaviours and clothes. A feel good story with a happy ending.

I adored this book, I absolutely loved the characters and there interactions.
Fran's job sounds so cool and the things that she gets to do is exciting to read about.
I really liked the relationships in this book and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Fran and how she handled things, she was so relatable.
I will definitely read another book by Lindsey Kelk and recommend to friends and family.

I've always found Lindsey Kelk's books to be a bit hit and miss for me.
But i'm super pleased to say that I really enjoyed this book.
It was super cosy, and so heart warming.
The book took us on an epic journey, and I had no idea where it was going next - something that it is quite unusual with women's fiction, as they usually follow a formulaic pattern. I really connected with Fran, and therefore it made me enjoy the book all the more. I feel that if I hadn't have liked Fran, then I wouldn't have cared about the plot.
There wasn't any page wasted as the plot was very fast paced, and I sped through this book.
Overall I really enjoyed this book!

A really good read. Fran and Stew had been together for years after meeting at university but they were in a rut and life was not very exciting any more and when she gets the chance of a fantastic job offer she accepts and things will change for her. A fun story with great characters, full of charm, excitement, romance and a chance to find out more about the life she wants to make for herself. I thoroughly enjoyed it

Absolutely brilliant, I loved this book and so enjoyed it I read it in one sitting, well almost, I did have to put it down to eat. It’s a great story with such wonderful characters, even the not so nice ones either made me laugh or want to give them a slap, or both! Highly recommended.

Lindsey is one of my favourite authors, and I highly anticipated this book. I was absolutely rewarded for waiting.
I loved Fran as a main character. She and I seemed to have similar struggles in life at time of reading, and it really warmed me to her. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Lindsey is phenomenal at writing unlikeable and awful boyfriends, and Stew is one of the worst I've ever read. It's testament to how good a writer Lindsey is.
I liked that while there was another romance in this book, it wasn't the core and central theme here. We moreso see Fran figure out what she wants to do with her life, and I really enjoyed the scenes with Juliette (who I don't imagine was really as bad as she was made out to be.)
This is a modern Cinderella retelling with a cameo from one of my favourite characters in the Lindsey Kelk canon as the Fairy Godmother character. I loved seeing them again. I also loved seeing Fran at the ball, embracing her fears, and generally having a good time.

This was a corker! I devoured this book in a day and it was the perfect escapism story. A modern day Cinderella goes to the ball and possibly one of my favourite reads from Lindsey Kelk.

Loved loved loved this book!! As an avid Lindsey Kelk fan, I am was so happy to receive this book before release date. The story line had me gripped, a different style of story line compared to her other books, something I throughly enjoyed. Thank you to net gallery for letting me read early.

Modern day cinderella story. I loved it. Feel good book, different to the usual romances, this book was really enjoyable to read.
There's no ugly sisters but maybe just an ugly situation, definitely a fairy godmother and of course the handsome prince.
Fran is our cinderella, going along with things that make others happy until a temporary job crops up and she decides to go for it. This single step is the start to her life changing and her changing herself.
I really appreciated that this book did not contain any x rated scenes, I just find those pages bring the tone of books down.
This was a fantasticly perfect feel good story.
Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC

I love Lindsey Kelk’s books they’re pure escapism and this is no different.
Fran gets an opportunity to be a Pa for an unknown celeb on a cruise ship for a week. Will it change her life forever?
Fran is a very ‘normal, down to earth person that I could relate too but has this opportunity that makes her world a little different.
The book was fun and warm and great for a cosy night in.

You may not be aware of this but I am the biggest Lindsey Kelk fan; I have read and loved all her books and been lucky enough to meet her a few times at local book signings.
Reading one of Lindsey's books is like meeting up with your oldest, bestest friend (mine is actually called Fran) and getting raucous over a bottle or three of wine. I know for sure laughs are guaranteed and my feel good factor will be through the roof. On A Night Like This delivers laughs and feels galore!
The female lead (Fran) could totally be my best friend, which goes to show how well Lindsey can write her characters. They are so down to earth and relatable no matter what crazy events happen, you can always put yourself in their shoes. Fran feels stuck in a rut with her boyfriend Stew; they are engaged but the spark seems to have died between them and Stew is quite traditional (no, I did not say BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRIIING) and he is not keen on Fran travelling far for her job. She is an outstanding PA but Sheffield isn't exactly stretching her abilities so when the opportunity arises to take a top secret job she jumps at the chance and deal with the fallout from Stew later. A risk that pays off as she ends up aboard a luxury yacht being PA to mega pop star of the moment Juliette. Essentially her job is to babysit Juliette and deliver her safely to the Crystal Ball - THE most exclusive and extravagant social event EVER where she is due to perform. Sounds easy right!? Not exactly as Juliette has a reputation for breaking her PA's and is notoriously flighty. Fran ends up being the belle of the actual ball with a little help from IRL fairy godmother Rachel and spends the evening with the ever so charming, handsome and thoughtful Evan. HELLO new book boyfriend!!!! Obviously Fran encounters a few hiccups along the way which is where the giggles come from but this is also a story about empowerment, female friendships and of course love.
I could wax lyrical about this book for a long time but I'll leave it there, you go off and buy it and leave me to my daydreams about Evan......

I feel like Lindsey's books are very hit and miss with me and even though the reviews so far seem to rave about this book, I just didn't seem to enjoy it. I feel so bad saying this but it's like reading Daily Mail Showbiz or just scrolling through recommended insta stories. It's either celeb mindless gossip or Orange Twirls or Percy Pigs. She also lists all the film flops during the last few years too...Cats, Baywatch and Last Christmas. She crams every little British/celebrity quirk or quip into these pages. It's a little boring if I'm honest. I feel awful writing a bad review, particularly when I'm in such a minority but...that's the name of the review game isn't it? We can't all love everything and boy, people love this book! Additionally, I think I'm just a little bored of the whole girl next door becomes glamourous, travels on a yacht/private plane and meets Mr X.

Celebrity life, glamour, love, humor, this one has it all. Great fun following the ups and downs of a celeb PA. Enjoyable read.

This is my first Lindsey Keli book! I wasn’t disappointed.
Fran lives with her fiancé Stew in his late grandmothers house in Sheffield. Life for them has become more or a habit than being in love, fran doesn’t really trust Stew and he doesn’t really pay any attention to what she’s saying or doing.
Fran is offered a mysterious job as a personal assistant to an unknown celebrity which will take her away from her mundane life with Stew for a week. This is going to change life for fran forever!
After being unexpectedly left in Italy when The Songbird Sets sail leaving Fran behind she gatecrashes the glamorous Crystal Ball and meets the man of her dreams.Evan.
Can they be together in Fran real world or are they just too far apart.
I loved this book, it was full of romance, magic and lots of laughs along the way. Definitely worth the five stars I’m giving it.
Thank you HarperColins UK and NetGalley for an ARC of this lovey book.

This was a wonderful book to read, I loved it. It was funny and very easy to read. I love rom-com’s and this one fit the bill perfectly. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
