I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x
When I pick up a Mills and Boon book, I do so because I want to read something that is relaxing, it doesn’t take a lot to follow the story and of course with a happy ending. This book hit all of this for me and that is why I scored it a 4.
Dr Freya Grey appears to have spent her career travelling, unable to settle in one place. Her recent work placement is in Amsterdam, where she needs to face and deal with the difficult loss of her grandmother. Dr Lucas Van De Berg turns her head and this has her questioning her future. Does she follow her heart and remain in Amsterdam? Does she leave after the planned 6 months for her next placement in Vietnam? Is this a time to repair her relationship with her mother and build new bridges?
My interest in the story grew as I read further and I enjoyed the authors description of Amsterdam, able to picture myself there.
Many thanks to Becky Wicks, her publishers and Netgalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
Exciting, engrossing, page turner. Keeps you involved even if you know it's fiction.
Thoroughly enjoyable
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Freya has been running her whole life and never settling down in one place, now she finds herself in Amsterdam for a six month period where she meets the dashing Lucas, She is immediately drawn to him and finds herself starting to reconsider her life choices but can she really settle down and choose love?
I really enjoyed this book, It was nice to be set in Amsterdam and great that I could relate to some of the places from when I have been before
An original take on a traditional romance with a good strong female lead who loves to travel and struggles to put down roots. Liv has been burned in love before and keeps herself to herself including with her mum and sister. That is where the deeply rooted Lucas comes in. Good looking, kind and an amazing doctor, it is up to him to show Liv she can trust again. All of this emotion set against the city of Amsterdam and the beauty of its surroundings.
I read this ARC for an honest review
