Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an ARC in exchange for my honest opinions.
Sarah had her heart broken a few years ago when she told her boyfriend, "I love you" and, in response, he broke up with her. She's since become solely interested in one night stands. But then her last one night stand is in the same wedding she's in! A funny concept and cute story, but it dragged in the middle for me. Glad I finished it, though!

Sarah the Queen of one night stands is totally flabbergasted when she meets her latest one night stand at her best friends wedding in Ireland and it turns out to be the grooms brother. What follows is the story of getting over divorce and heartbreak. A nice story with likeable characters and an easy to read plot

Adorable rom-com about Sarah’s one night stand who just so happens to also end up at the same wedding she is in…halfway around the world.
The back and forth relationship between Sarah and Declan is sweet but I sort of thought the book went on for too long.
The author’s writing reminds me of Jasmine Guillory (think The Wedding Date or The Proposal). Quick & easy read about two people who aren’t crazy interested in each other but at the end you assume they will get together.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

I got this as an e-ARC from Netgalley, but all opinions remain my own. Thank you netgalley!
I loved every second of this novel. The chemistry the two characters had was incredible, I loved their banter and never thought it went too far. The conflict made a lot of sense and was resolved well. Declan is an absolute dreamboat and I adore him.
Overall, this was an easy 5 stars for me.
HIGHLY recommend this novel.

Thank you NetGalley, Catherine Walsh, and Bookouture for sending me a free ARC copy of One Night Only in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed One Night Only so much that I read it in one sitting! The characters were great and the chemistry that Catherine was able to create between the two main characters was amazing. I enjoyed reading about the cross country travel for the wedding and the writers descriptive details regarding NYC. I found Sarah’s character to be very real and relatable as a single woman in the city who is unapologetically herself but also seeking more out of her life. Sarah and Declan’s banter and interactions were fun to read and kept me entertained until the end!
Overall, One Night Only was a really good read. It’s perfect for romcom lovers who are crazy for an Irish accent and main characters with sexual tension that’s off the charts. I hope to read more from Catherine Walsh in the future!

Description from NetGalley..
“Who could have predicted this? Being at the same wedding. In Ireland. There’s a reason one-night stands are one-night stands. You’re not supposed to see each other again, especially not when you’re the maid of honor, and he’s the groom’s brother…
Sarah Anderson has never been more excited about anything in her life. She’s going to her best friend’s wedding. And not just any wedding. An Irish wedding. Goodbye New York, hello rolling green hills and men with beautiful accents and twinkling eyes. But Sarah should have known that not all guests are fairy-tale princes…
Is there anything more mortifying than bumping into a one-night stand halfway across the world? Especially as Declan seems determined to embarrass Sarah at every turn. At least when the wedding’s over she’ll never have to see him again.
But, back in New York, Sarah finds the more she tries to forget Declan, the more she can’t shake the thought of that infuriatingly charming smile and the way he wears a tux…Was he really just for one night only, or might Declan Murphy be The One?”

My thoughts…
Funny. This ended up being a laugh-out-loud book. I thought there was a good balance of humour and sentimentality in the story. Although, I think I’m starting to get tired of guys who are too much of a jerk in the beginning, like Declan. There were a couple of reflective moments, but really it was all around a funny romcom. I like books with interesting secondary characters, and this one had those too. Overall, a cozy romcom that made me wish I was in Ireland.

This is my first Catherine Walsh book and it was an absolute delight!
A huge thanks to Bookouture for my e-ARC in exchange for an honest review. One Night Only follows the delightful Sarah who doesn't do second dates -one night is enough for her. Her luck (or is it) runs out when her delectable one-night stand is at her best friend's wedding. If that isn't enough he is the groom's brother. It is such a feel-good rom-com that serves wedding cake, Irish wedding and gents, and of course the banter every rom-com needs. The book also features delightful side characters and the plot is just wonderfully developed.

Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an advanced copy of the book in exchange for my honest thoughts.
When I saw the cover and red the synopsis, I thought this would be the perfect rom-com and right up my street, I wasn't wrong. I had finished the book in about 4 hours because I couldn't put it down. A single girl living in New York, flying to Ireland to her friends wedding, being surrounded by men with the Irish accent.....I mean come on what more could you ask for?!
Sarah is excited to see her best friend who has recently moved to Ireland after meeting the man of her dreams, which you might have guessed by now, is Irish. When she finally arrives and they go to the pre-wedding meal she is introduced to all the crazy Irish relatives and welcomed with open arms as another member of the family. But then she is introduced to Declan Murphy, the grooms brother who she happened to have a one night stand with a few nights before. Cue the awkward moments.
A funny and witty rom-com perfect for a beach read or just when you need some lighthearted fun. I cannot believe this is the authors debut novel, it was brilliant and I will definitely been looking out for her in the future. The only reason I didn't give this book 5 stars is that it didn't have enough emotional content to move me, nor will it stay with me forever. But it was great whilst it lasted.

One Night Only explores the life of Sarah an architect living in New York who travels to Ireland for her best friends wedding. Little did she know that the best man would be none other than her latest hook up, the last person she expected to see. Sarah doesn't believe in happily ever after and is happy enough to continue having one night stands to keep her occupied in her busy life. Although, this annoying man she has stumbled across again seems to be getting under her skin with his charm and amazing good looks.
I absolutely loved this book! I devoured it in two days. Not only was it a gorgeous romance which everyone knows I'm a sucker for, but I feel this book gave so much more.
I loved the characters in this book. Catherine Walsh has a way of building each character giving them a place in the story rather than simply hashing over a bunch of people. There was actually a real development in the story line that kept you reading on. It didn't just stop at soppy romance and simply end. It was full of banter, charm and was a delight to read.
I loved everything about this story, the humour, the characters, the way it was written and of course the romance and chemistry between Sarah and Declan. Such an amazing debut novel.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

One Night Only is one of those books where every page is a lamentation and a celebration all in one. Every time I flipped the page, I mourned that there would be one fewer page to read and rejoiced that the story was progressing so beautifully. Simply put, I didn't want this book to end. It's everything I've ever wanted in a contemporary romance novel.
It's hard to strike a balance between humor (and this book is capital-H hilarious) and sincerity, but Catherine Walsh does it and makes it all look so effortless. I found myself laughing out loud in one instant and then sitting reflectively with Sarah in the next. I have so many quotes highlighted, so many moments I never want to forget. I went into this book thinking it would be a short, frothy work on the seemingly supernatural attractiveness of Irish men and came out of it with contentedness in my heart and a renewed hope in the concept of love. I adored not only Sarah and Declan but also Claire, Paul, Annie, and even Mrs. Murphy.
My only complaints—and they're microscopic—is that I wish the middle section of the book had been a little faster, and I wish Declan had been a less of an ass earlier on in the novel. But as a whole, I adored this entire novel.
One Night Only deserves to be on everyone's TBR. Whether you're looking for a light pick-me-up or simply reflecting on the complexities of life, this book is for you.
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookoutre for providing me with a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. I will post this review to my Goodreads and to my book review blog shortly.

I absolutely loved this book, it was a perfect blend of romance and comedy which left you with that feel good feeling during and after reading this book.
We follow Sarah who is living a modern lifestyle in NYC as a budding architect who has not been lucky in love so has implemented a rule in her life. Nothing ever goes further than a one night stand. This rule seemed to be working fine with no kinks. That is until she travels to her best friend’s wedding in Ireland and meets the best man. It turns out they already know each other… intimately.
Declan, the biggest goofball you ever did read about, is someone you can’t help but love. His natural Irish charm is irresistible to Sarah and their serendipitous encounters begin to make her question the rules she put in place to protect her heart.
This book leaves you smiling beginning, middle and end. The narrative is fast paced and doesn’t leave you feeling bored. The side characters are constantly engaging and don’t feel like they’re lemons that are only added here and there. The relationships between all of them are expertly woven together and when you read this book you feel like you are slotting into place and one of the group.
Such a great read, please go and give it a read yourself!

Cute read! Sarah and Declan are a couple with baggage - but when the Irish backdrop is so pretty, why not add some baggage?! Fun, easy read that I finished overnight. A warning that the buildup is slow but it’s worth it if you’re looking for a light read!

I really enjoyed this book.
The characters were well developed, and we took time to learn their back stories. There were amusing exchanges, and some endearing moments too.
The story was a bit predictable, but I found that to be pleasing as well. I liked that I was reading a book which would be certain to give me a happy ending - we could all use one right now!
Oh, and I just want to finish off that I ended this book with a big crush on Declan!

You know when your reading a book how you can tell the authors personality? Maybe they write intelligently or have a scary warped part of their brain, maybe they look like the neighbor next door but write really naughty, and sometimes they are funny and sarcastic. Well author Catherine Walsh had me smiling from ear to ear while I was reading One Night Only. I loved her characters and the banter between the two main characters. I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end!
Sarah spends all her time working and trying to impress her boss at Baxter &Sons Architect. She doesn’t have time to date and after what happened with her parents marriage she’s pretty sure she’ll stay single forever. Sarah’s ok with one night stands and has even come up with a system to name them in her phone just in case they try to contact her for a replay.
The day before Sarah is to leave for her best friends wedding she has a lovely one night stand followed by loosing an account at work. Her boss tells her she’s been working to hard and not to worry, just enjoy her trip.
Annie is getting married in Ireland and Sarah can’t wait to see her best friend, and maybe check out the single groomsman. Imagine Sarah’s horror when she meets Annie’s new brother in law and discovers he was her one night stand. Declan finds this whole situation hilarious and Sarah to be irresistible but he’s not into begging so he’ll skip out right when he’s relieved of his best man duties. When Sarah discovers Declan has left she’s oddly disappointed and she doesn’t like that she has any sort of feelings for Declan, or any man for that matter!
Back in New York Sarah focuses all her attention on her job putting in long hours, checking out her sexy coworker, and trying to move on from any thoughts of Declan who was meant to only be a one night stand. Or was he?

One Night Only was a great romantic comedy with incredible characters and witty dialogue. As I was reading this book, I found myself not being able to put this down! One Night Only is a story about Sarah, a woman who has vowed to only have one night stands to avoid heartbreak and loss, finding herself in a situation where a one night stand turns into something she wants more from. Declan, a handsome, Irish. bar owner has never had a one night stand and is determined to make Sarah have a change of heart. I recommend this book to anyone who is craving a love story and a laugh. I thought Walsh did an awesome job at setting up different plots throughout the book so there were no loose ends or confusion how the story got to where it did. I give this book 4/5 stars, loved this read!

I had a delightful time reading this book. Sarah finds that ad best she tries to avoid her one night stand, he keeps popping up in her life. While it seemed like a straightforward will they or won’t they story with the two lead characters, Sarah truly felt like a three dimensional character you’d know in your life. I saw bits of myself in her-projecting past relationships on your current situation, having parts of your life together while others fall apart. I’d recommend this one as a summer read, but also great to sit down with for a few chapters after dinner.

2.5 stars
“On paper” I feel like this should’ve worked for me. I tried. I tried to stay open to the possibility it could turn around. Unfortunately, it was a miss for me almost all around. I trudged along & somehow found a way to the end - with a little light skimming the last handful of chapters I confess -.
The first problem, ONO was a single POV & that POV only being the heroine/Sarah. I could not connect with her. I just couldn’t find anything favorable to latch onto with her. She was…unsympathetic? I guess. I don’t really get what the hero/Declan saw in her, what charmed him.
Declan’s POV is sorely missed. I don’t consider dual POV an absolute necessity to enjoy a book, but Declan’s character felt unfinished. I don’t feel like I have much more of a sense of him at the end than when the book began. It also might’ve helped to flesh Sarah out as well if I knew what he found so appealing about her besides looking good in a LBD.
As a result, I couldn’t feel chemistry between them sadly. I just didn’t feel any sparks. There was too much time spent beating around the bush by both. I’m afraid with the lack of connection to either character(more so the heroine), the “humor” was largely a miss, except for a quip or two from her co-worker, Will.
There were stretches (some more lengthy than others) I felt the plot lost focus & veered off towards unnecessary several times.
I think on a basic level there’s something about Ms. Walsh’s writing in her debut that could be good eventually. Which is why I chose to rate ONO the way I did. As problematic as this book was for me, I think it’s because her writing presently read pretty green imho. With a few more books under her belt, I could see coming back & giving another one of her books a try down the road a ways.

One Night Only was a fun, quick read that can suck you in! Sarah is our protagonist, a woman who had her broken years ago and refuses to let it happen again by only allowing herself to have one night stands. She wakes up next to her most recent endeavor and kicks him out the door without a second thought on her way to work, where she has been pushed over for a promotion. AKA-lots going on in her life, most importantly, Sarah's leaving soon to Ireland for her best friend's wedding. The best part? When she arrives, the groom's brother is none other than her recent one night stand. You know what happens next: enemies to maybe-lovers, hijinks, and all sorts of messiness.
As much as I enjoyed this read, the constant bickering eventually got frustrating. I wanted to smack the back of Sarah's head and tell her to go to therapy and figure out how to deal with her trauma. But hey, there are real people like that in the world, so it's not unbelievable! I still felt invested in the journey and the outcome and wanted good things for all the characters. If you love rom-coms that give you a near-perfect guy to fawn over, then this is the book for you, Irish accent included. 3.5 stars rounded up!
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I read this book as it was recommended by a friend and it definitely is a light cute romcom read. The storyline is as expected and nothing groundbreaking but definitely an entertaining one. The to and fro between the protagonists does get a bit frustrating after a while but on the whole it was a no-brains required to relax read.
This book wasn’t really my kind but I’m sure many other readers will appreciate it.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book sucked me at the beginning.
Sarah wakes to her latest conquest laying next to her - quickly becoming irritated when he seems to slowly get his stuff together.
After a disappointing work - her boss encouraging her to take some time away and return fresh, Sarah finally lands in Ireland for Annie and Paul's wedding. And lots of alcohol. Which is much needed when her latest conquest shows up - as Paul's brother.
This is a great romcom book - lots of laughter, building tension, face planting scenarios and a main character who has to let go of the past.
