Every now and then, a reader needs something different, really different. 13 Fiendish Fables was that for me. Sometimes you win and discover a new to you author who becomes an addition to yout TBR list....yep, Stephen Schmoyer is now on my list.
In this book, Schmoyer took some of the questions we all have now and then when we stop to reconcile our feelings about life, death, heaven and hell. He poses the answers as in a "what if" fashion that pulls the reader further in to see where he's going. While discussing some HEAVY subjects, the book still managed to be an entertaing look at one man's dive down that rabbit hole that others seldom contemplate. Well written, well thought out and most definitely a must read.
this was a really enjoyable read, I loved the theme of the story. The characters were great and I loved the plot. I look forward to reading more from the author.
Prose-like style with commentary by a snarky devil - a definite fun read. The author was going for something different and achieved just that. Highly entertaining tales of dealings with the devil, with intermittent conversations between the author and the devil, who provides feedback on the tales. A fun read!
