A well written account of an interesting life. I was especially interested in the author’s accounts of life as a Jew in England during the Second World War. This is not a perspective I have seen much of in the many biographies of people who lived through that period. The author takes the reader on a journey across many different experiences send diverse contexts without slipping into the common autobiographical trap of self aggrandisement. A very interesting book.
