This was a great book to read during the pandemic and to be transported somewhere else - loved this story!

A brilliantly well written book that really built in interest and intensity as it progressed, mirroring the career of the successful psychologist author.
Fascinating insight into countries and cultures that don’t normally get highlighted in books and a taste of life inside the usually fairly mystical United Nations. This honest account doesn’t shy away from mentioning the less than perfect aspects of working in international situations – it isn’t all glitz and glamour travelling around the world all expenses paid, despite what those of us who wish they could do it think!
