Loved the Christmas feel of the book! Especially as the main characters travel to Lapland. The story has family, love, secrets and betrayal all wrapped in the story. A nice cosy Christmas read .

Christy and her husband Seb are taking their 4 year old daughter Holly on a Christmas holiday of a lifetime to Lapland. Christy's estranged aunt Robyn runs a small resort there, and she hopes to use the trip to mend her family and uncover long buried secrets - can the past be forgiven? Accompanying them on the holiday is Christy's best friend Alix and Seb's best friend Zac - will their long buried secret also be found out?

A lovely feel good story from Sarah Morgan, beautifully set with relatable and likeable characters. Lots of crossed wires and sad secrets, wrapped up in a book that will be a delight to read on chilly winter days.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me to read an advance copy of this book in return for an honest review.

I really enjoyed The Christmas Escape. The settings of the USA and a village in England are a direct contrast to the winter wonderland that is Sweden, particularly at Christmas.
The descriptions of fast city life, the sometimes confining feel of village life and the complete peace and change of pace in the Arctic circle are particularly good. Susan Morgan places the reader right in the scenes of the book, one could imagine oneself there. After reading this book, I am definitely putting seeing Northern Lights on my bucket list!

Ali’s and Christy have been friends since forever. Well, childhood. Their lives have been intrinsically entwined for years. But a few years ago, Alix did something that changed that friendship, now being together it talking to one another feels awkward, stilted. How will they get back the closeness they once had?
Christy is worried about Seb, her husband. Something is wrong, she knows it. But what is it? And can she help put it right? Seb is also keeping a secret, one that he knows will burst Christy’s very organised world apart.
And then comes the invitation to spend Christmas with Christy’s estranged aunt Robyn the apparent black sheep of the family. In Lapland. Seb needs to go later than the rest because of a commitment, Someone needs to look after their daughter Holly, a handful at the best of times. Alix volunteers, little knowing that Seb’s friend Zac is also going. And there is history between Alix and Zac.
How will the reunion with Robyn go? What did she do that was so bad that she was cut out of Christy’s life for so long? And will Alix and Zac reconcile their differences? And will Christ and Alix manage to repair their fractured friendship?

This is another cracker from Susan Morgan and I thoroughly recommend it.

Always a good novel from Sarah, she never fails to make reading her novels thoroughly enjoyable. Christy marries Seb, even though her friend Alix thinks she is making a mistake. Is she? Alix feels she has lost her close friendship with Christy since she married -they were like sisters growing up. Christy becomes unsure of her marriage and wonders what happened between her mother, who died recently and her aunt, to cause a long standing family rift.

What could be better - three perfect ingredients for a novel: relationships, romance and Christmas. Sarah Morgan does not disappoint with her latest book. I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend it to anyone who indulges in this type of book

The festive season all wrapped up in a book.
Christy and Seb and their 4 year old daughter Holly are all set to visit Lapland for the Christmas of their dreams when they hit an unexpected bump in the road! Christy has planned to stay with her mums estranged sister and uncover their family’s secret of their fall out.
In desperation to try to sort out her marriage Christy asks her lifelong best friend Alix to go on ahead to Lapland with Holly. Unknown to Alix Seb has asked his best friend Zac to accompany them. Alix and Zac have history from years ago. Will this trip be the dream they all hope for or will it be the end for them all.
I loved this book, it was so full of Christmas traditions and magic. The setting sounds so romantic I’d love to take that trip.
An excellent book, definitely one to put you in the mood for Christmas.
Thank You HQ and Netgally for an early copy of this magical Christmas book.

Festive Feels…
In this new Christmas offering from Sarah Morgan. What could be more perfect at Christmastime than a trip to magical Lapland? Things do not go quite to plan, the trip takes a different turn and with friends and family, secrets and undercurrents will Christmas be a success? A romantic, heartwarming festive tale with a colourful cast of characters for an evening next to a roaring fire with a cosy throw.

My thanks to Netgalley for my copy of The Christmas Escape. This book is exactly what you'd expect from Sarah Morgan; it's a Christmas romance, you know how it will end, but the journey is full of interesting characters and festive fun in a beautiful setting. The perfect Christmas read.

You can't go wrong with a Sarah Morgan Christmas book, can you?
Well, I'm pretty certain of that fact, and I loved this one as much as the others that I have read.
This story centres around three main characters, Robyn, her niece, Christy and Christy's best friend Alix.
Robyn lives in Lapland with her husband Erik and has been estranged from her family for many years, yet, out of the blue, she receives an email from her niece, wanting to come over.
Christy is nervously excited at the thought of meeting her aunty, the Rebel Robyn, about whom she knows nothing, other than her mother refused to discuss her, at all.
She's due to take her family; husband Seb and small, feisty daughter Holly to visit her rebel aunt, with her best friend and ally, Alix in tow, too, all the way to Lapland.
But, things happen. (Of course they do!)
And she finds herself having to ask her best friend a huge favour, i.e. stepping in as 'mum' for a while, as she sorts out something personal, meaning Alix has to go to Lapland with Holly. With backup, of course. Zak. Who happens to be Seb's best friend, and apparently a sworn enemy of Alix's.
Yes, it is a romance, in many ways, and how can you not get romantic, thinking of the Northern Lights, and midnight sleigh rides, the snow, and saunas...
Though, more than that, I felt this book was a bout relationships and friendships, and misunderstandings. How something that seems so small can end up becoming bigger than you realise, and that thing you thought was huge, actually isn't important at all.
A fabulous read that I devoured pretty much in one sitting on a Bank Holiday Monday!
Many thanks to NetGalley and HQ for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It was meant to be Christy best Christmas ever, but at the last minute she and her husband need to spend some make or break quality time together. They were meant to be talking their daughter to Lapland, to spend time at Christy's long lost aunts. Who owns an upmarket spar retreat for intrepid travellers.

So instead Christy's young daughter Holly is taken as planned by her best friend Alix and her husband's oldest friend Zac.

This years Christmas is not all picture perfect, no matter what beautiful views are all around them. Long standing secrets are brought to the surface and  relationships are tested to their limits. Finally five year old arguments are now finally brought to a close.

As always Sarah Morgan delivers an amazing warm uplifting  holiday novel, which I throughly enjoyed, even if I read it in August!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for giving me a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love a festive novel that makes me feel all fuzzy with excitement and this is just the feeling I got when reading Sarah Morgan’s new book The Christmas Escape which is set in such an idyllic location in Sweden with snow, husky rides and to top it all the dazzling allure of the Northern Lights which is something I have always been so desperate to see for myself and this book has just made me yearn for that experience even more!
We can always rely on Sarah Morgan to introduce us to three strong female characters, this seems to be her signature thing and she aces it every time. Christmas is Christy’s favourite time of year and this year is going to be extra special as she will be spending it in Sweden in the perfect festive setting and she can’t wait for her daughter Holly to have a magical time but there are nerves bubbling as she will be meeting her rebel auntie Robyn for the first time.
When Christy uncovers a hidden secret kept by husband Seb she wants to get to the bottom of it and so asks best friend Alix to go on the planned trip taking care of Holly and she would join them a few days later.
Alix senses that her best friend is keeping things from her but she would do anything to help her best friend even if that means sharing a romantic log cabin with a young child and a man she has been successfully keeping her distance from for a long time!
This is perfect festive reading with engaging characters, wintery chills that will be warmed with the spark of romance and the heat of conflict whilst wrapping you up in the magical setting of snow and auroras. Friendships and relationships are put to the test and secrets are uncovered new and old which all add depth and intrigue to this storyline. This is another fabulously festive read by Sarah Morgan she has ticked all the boxes once again.

Childhood friends Christy and Alix are sharing a family Christmas in Swedish Lapland with estranged Aunt

Robyn. Inbetween seasonal activities with reindeer, husky dogs and seeing the spectacular aurora borealis, they

must learn to share and trust once again., especially difficult now that Christy is also mum to lovely Holly..

A wonderful, touching read and a cautionary tale to remind us to keep the conversation going and

communicate with our nearest and dearest.. This book is uplifting, authentic, and wise.. I enjoyed reading it very

much..

Fabulous !
I’ve always wanted to see the northern lights and stay in a snuggly log cabin while it snows outside and after reading this I feel I have, from my sofa.

As usual Sarah Morgan doesn’t disappoint, I get totally absorbed in her books.

This starts with Christy, Seb and their boisterous daughter Holly, Alix, Christy’s best friend and Zac, Sebs friend.
Zac & Alix are asked to take Holly to Lapland earlier than Christy and Seb, which they do and have fun along the way in a gorgeous setting of snow, doing snow activities, building snowmen and even picking their tree from the forest.
The characters and setting were engaging and exciting.

You can always rely on Sarah Morgan for a heartfelt tale. I really enjoyed this story of two friends and their approach to relationships. The setting in Lapland was fabulous and the exploration of relationship dynamics was tension-filled and romantic!

This was the perfect curl up in front of the fire and get lost in, Christmas story. With some great, well written characters and several intriguing twists. I loved the setting, the snow, the Northern Lights, the magic and the people. Although the outcome was a little predictable, I still thoroughly enjoyed this story, it made me smile and brought the occasional tear to my eye.

I really loved the characters, all of them, they are people I would have liked to be friends with. Christy and Alix are best friends and have been since they were children but their lives have become complicated and things have happened to make them query where their friendship now stand with their new life. I liked them both very much. I liked Sen Christy's husband and Robyn, Christy's estranged aunt but I really loved Zac, Seb's best friend, he was so sweet, kind and caring but also so funny.

There is a lot of commentary in this book on trust and families, a favourite theme in Sarah Morgan's books. Despite being a little predictable, I thoroughly enjoyed this story it really was the perfect Christmas read.

This is a perfect Christmas read, I found myself escaping to the beauty of Lapland and wishing I was there as it sounded so amazing.
The Christmas Escape tells the story of Christy and Seb and their friends Alix and Zac and intertwines faily dynamics of wayward relatives and all the festivity of Christmas.
I liked the partnership of Alix and Zac and wanted them to work out their differences, I found Christy at times frustrating and not always understanding of those around her but eventually this was pointed out to her and she started to overcome it.
This is a great festive read as you would expect from Sarah Morgan
