Both of my children have absolutely loved this series of books so we were excited to find a new book coming out in the series.
In this story Squirrel experiences snow for the first time and with the help of her friend Mole she builds a Snowman.
My son loves the rhyming in these stories and lifting the flaps on each page. The illustrations are stunning and the little creatures of Acorn wood are adorable.
I will definitely be purchasing a physical copy of this book when it is published.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Publishers for this ecopy.

This is just fantastic, I wouldn’t expect anything less from the Queen of children’s literature (and King) . As always the beautiful illustrations draw both adult and child alike, the story and rhyme are so enchanting m this is going to be another classic and I love that it’s interactive, can’t wait to buy a physical copy to enjoy to its full extent with the kids. Just perfect

What a gorgeous book, it worked well on the iPad with swipes for ‘lift the flap’ features.
As always, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler do not disappoint. The illustrations are gorgeous and the rhyming story is one which invites prediction and participation. The sequencing of building and decorating a snowman are FANTASTIC.
A BRILLIANT story which captures the excitement and joy of seeing and playing in the snow, and coming in afterwards for gingerbread cookies.
A book I will recommend to parents and teachers alike.
Thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ahead of publication in exchange for an honest review

My daughter loved the book. As soon as I had finished reading it she asked to read it again which is always a good sign. It was also a nice surprise that the squirrel ate snowman biscuits instead of the traditional nuts. As always lovely illustration from Axel Scheffler that makes the characters really approachable for the children.

A very charming little board book for (hopefully) charming little readers. Just a rhyming couplet per page, and every recto page has a flap or two to lift to engage with the words and images further. It's quite irrelevant that it's about a squirrel who uses the help of some friends to build a snowman, it's much more important to point out the creators, mention that they never slip up in their brilliance and haven't here, and say that it's going to be raaaaather popular come the relevant season.
