I didn't feel that the characters were developed enough. I enjoyed the astrological aspect of the story but thought that the ending was far-fetched and unsatisfactory. I am sorry this novel didn't entice me to explore more boos by this author

This is the fourth book in a series, and I believe to understand it and the characters best the reader would do well to read the series in order. There was no explanation of how characters related to one another or to what their past might be and, since I hadn’t read the first three books in the series I was lost for much of the way through the book.

I would have enjoyed seeing more character development, although that may also have occurred in earlier books in the series. There seemed to be some characters who had the potential for uniqueness, but since there was little information about them in this book, I don’t know. While it was well-written, it seemed to meander a bit, and I had to work to keep up and understand how everyone related to each other.

The pace seemed a bit abrupt at times, and it took me a paragraph or two to understand the sift in circumstances or relevance to the overall story. It seemed at the end that a primary mystery was revealed; but there was little to indicate the scope of this mystery in the earlier stages of the book. Perhaps more information or clues about this and its significance to others in earlier parts of the book would eliminate this issue.

If a reader has an interest in divination, particularly astrology and tarot cards, they may enjoy this book more. Some of the information found in the tarot cards as well as astrological signs was better suited to a reader who has more than a passing understanding of these two philosophies.

My thanks to Joffe Books for an advanced copy to review. The opinions stated here are entirely my own.

This is the first of this series of books that I've read - but it won't be the last. The idea of having an astrologer as the amateur sleuth is is a novel one. to me anyway. I found the charts and deductions fascinating.

Really enjoyed it - I had to put it down last night about 1 chapter from the end and it haunted my dreams all night. The first thing I did when I woke up was to finish it - I wasn't disappointed.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher I read a free advance review copy of the book. This review is voluntary, honest and my own opinion.

I devoured this stunning wild ride. The writing just blew my mind along with the character development.
Couldn't get enough of it. Mather knows how to pull you and keep you interested throughout it all!

The Hanged Man is a twisty-turny, page turning, high-octane adrenaline rush of a read and showcases thriller writer Linda Mather at her devious and twisted best.

Thank you again for the opportunity to read and enjoy this book!
I'll post to my Goodreads, Bookstagram and Facebook account closer to pub date!
