The action comes fast and furious in this nail-biting thriller but there is also a deep layer of intellectual integrity in the writing which is often missing in the genre.
The author paints an evocative picture of the Scottish islands and the sea around them and reminded me of the Lewis novels by Peter May. And any plot involving corrupt British politicians couldn't fail to be credible today.
A must read thriller for everyone who loves edge-of-the-seat tension.

Tom Brown, disgraced former Home Secretary, is missing presumed dead.
