Lol! A book worth reading for sure had me laughing through the the book... There was laughter, Drama, romance and some very naughty scenes... A great read...
My problem with TL Swan is that she writes long romances. My sweet spot in 300 pages and her romances are long and feel like they are dragging on.
This book was a decent story for Elliot but I still think that The Take Over is the best book in the whole series by far. He's just a way better character than all of the male leads we have had so far. Some things in this book really didn't make sense. It felt like the author was taking the easy way out when she made Kate the artist that Elliot had been in love with her work. We didn't even know that she was a painter and the way everyone describes how not great of a painter she is makes me wonder why the hell were people buying it from her sister. Don't get me wrong I hated the sister and I honestly think Kate is too good for her and should just leave her alone. The spice was there but the romance it's self fell a little flat at times. But the farm animal scenes were funny. Overall it was good but there could have been some more work added to it and not take the easy way for things.
The Mile’s High Club has been some of my favorite all time stories (really anything in the TL Swan world ❤️) and when I heard Elliot was getting his own book I was overjoyed!
Elliott and Kate (great name) are perfection. This office romance, enemies-to-friends-to-lovers is a trope that I just adore! This book will take you for a RIDEEEE. Kate is a strong, funny, and intelligent heroine. I love her and Elliot’s interactions. Of course, I love all the intertwining of all of T’s characters. This book also made me fall hard for a few secondary characters ::cough cough Christopher and Daniel::
I can’t wait for you all to get your hands on this because I know you will all fall hard for this couple!
This is the first book that I have read from this author, so obviously read it as a stand a lone. There are several series that have similar themes, but I liked Kate and Elliot much better than some of those predecessors. Lots of witty banter and some very funny scenes, especially with the farm animals.
Kate and Elliot have hated each other for seven years, all because of a misunderstanding, when Kate made an innocent observation on her second day on the job, a remark that Elliot totally misconstrued and there went what could have been a good working relationship. But things suddenly change when Elliot catches Kate on the security feed in a red netball dress and all the assets she has been hiding. Both have baggage, but lots of fun learning about each other. This story has much more substance that other similar books, (Up In the Air, 50 Shades of Grey...etc) and a book I would read again.
I read an ARC that I received from NetGAlley.com. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
Loved this one although Tee never lets us down! Elliot was the typical alpha we all love and Kate wasn't afraid to bite back. These two bounced off each other but Elliot did make a questionable mistake that left me SHOCKED.
- workplace romance
- Farm animals especially a goat and killer ducks that make an appearance
- Good banter with a lot of laugh out loud moments
- I dont know much about art but it was fun to see Elliot's obsession with it
- online dating profiles
- family drama
- more time with all the miles brother
My Miles brother rating still stands as Jameson as my fave Miles man BUT Elliot has taken second spot leaving Tristan in third!
Wow! Done it again! This is the third in The Miles High Club and it's my new favourite series. I can see myself re reading these books over and over.
Elliott and Kathryns dynamic is just on fire. The heat was 👌🔥 but not only that, the feels are there too. And some parts of the book had me laughing out loud!
I love the humour that has been in this series, this is what's set it apart for me, it's not just about the 🔥, it's the whole package!
I cannot wait for Christopher's story to complete the series 😍
tl swan making my year again with this book<33 tho, takeover was my favourite, I still loved this one a lot too! I’m so excited for the next book in the series!
This is the first novel I've read from TS Swan and I'm now convinced I need to read the others in this series immediately. I felt like this story offers romance readers everything they need: steam, spice, and some wry humor along the way!
Summary:
In T L Swan’s steamy third installment of the Miles High Club, Kate’s hot new pen pal is a welcome distraction from her horrible boss. But nobody is as distracting as Elliot Miles…and he knows it.
My favorite hobby is infuriating Elliot Miles. Just the sight of my boss’s handsome face triggers my sarcasm. God knows how he earns his Casanova reputation—if a million women want him with his personality, what the heck am I doing wrong?
Disgusted with my love life, I join a dating app under a fake name. I start chatting to a man named Edgar. He’s not my type and lives on the other side of the world, but we hit off a friendship, laugh and confide in each other.
But lately things are getting weird at work. Elliot’s being…attentive. His eyes linger a little longer than they should, and there’s a heat behind them that I haven’t felt before. And then, in the shock of all shocks, he tells me that my vulnerability is appealing. But when was I vulnerable?
Horror dawns…Has my boss been reading my emails to Edgar?
Damn it, why did I use my work email?
Oh no, does he know what I really think of him? I’d rather die than ever admit it.
Or, even worse: is it possible that the man I loathe in real life is the man I’m falling for online?
I absolutely love TL Swan’s books and The Casanova was just another amazing book!! Elliott Miles is convinced Kate is there to make him crazy but instead he just lives ‘torturing’ her. Sound like some a kindergarten little boy might due lol??? Kate is fed up with dating but let’s her friends talk her into joining a dating app. Little does she know the one person interested in talking to her is really her boss behind a fake account. It doesn’t take long for Elliott to put pieces together but he doesn’t tell Kate but uses their conversations as a way to really get to know her. These two are perfect for each other but with all the lies between them as well as the mistrusts they both have about love, getting through it will challenge their love and resolve. What an amazing story to read and watch unfold!
received an ARC from Netgalley in exchanged for an honest review~

Kathryn is the manager of the IT team for Miles Media who Elliot is the CEO of.
She’s been there for 7 years and has hated Elliot since the first time they met. His asshole/casanova behaviour is what really ticks her off.

Something happens to Kate while at work and Elliot is the one who is there to help her. As he is the only other person in the office at the time. Creating a close proximity situation. Elliot helps her home and after that he cannot seem to stay away from her.
Which is where a No-Strings-Attached proposal comes in. Elliot makes the proposition to Kathryn, she’s is hesistant at first but ultimately gives in.
Starting their relationship which leads to so many different situations & a plot twist I didn’t see coming!

TL Swan is no stranger to putting in some hilarious scenes and creating a book full of banter that has you laughing out loud.
My favorite one in the series so far! TL swan brought the heat, angst and feels with this one. Kate and Elliot were so up and down, i loved their tumultuous rollercoaster of hate to love, their relationship and banter was amazing to watch, they were funny, had a lot of back and forth and it took Elliot a while to make up his mind, but deep down he knew Kate was the one for him! I also loved the little glimpse of Tristan and the kids!!!!
I received an ARC for an honest review.
I do love reading these kinds of stories, and this was no different.
I would definitely recommend it, it's the love and hate type of relationship!! :)
So, The Casanova had a really high mountain to climb after The Takeover. I absolutely loved The Takeover, Tristan Miles was probably one of the most engaging and charming characters I've read from T.L. Swan. Going into this book I knew that Elliott probably wasn't going to be as engaging as Tristan. I thinking about that helped a lot. I truly did enjoy this book even though I think there are some things I would love to change about Elliott. He was really possessive, which I kind of expect from a MIles brother but it kind of rubbed me the wrong way. It's probably because of the boss and employee relationship. I took me a while to enjoy The Stopover because of that power dynamic. More than likely this is a trope I just don't care for.. Overall, I think it was a solid read just not one of my favorites from T.L. Swan.
I love all of T L Swan's books, this book was just as great as I'd hoped it would be. I will continue to support any and all books she puts out, as I love the way she is able to write angsty, raunchy romance.
Could not get into this book.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book.
All opinions expressed are my own.
For me TL Swan is a hit or miss author. She is a fabulous writer and has a gift with creating some awesome characters. BUT she likes love triangles or having the main characters have sex with other characters. Its something I don't like to see in books I read expecting romance. But this is book 3 in the series and I have loved the first two book so much that I gave this story a chance.
There were things I loved about it like the main hero, Elliot Miles and his brothers. And I adored his hate/love thing with his employee, IT Manager Kathryn Landon. These two together were a hoot and I loved their bickering.
But Kathryn is very sensitive to her awful sister who is always trying to steal her men. She even tells this to Elliott and this is what I HATED about this book. Elliott has this thing for this mysterious artist and lets say when she calls he comes running. And honestly this ruined my love of this book. I felt so bad for Kathryn.
He then comes running back to her, and I LOVED LOVED that she makes it very hard on him to come back. I was so happy she refuses him over and over again. And thats what I loved about this story. I loved that Kathryn knows her worth and she makes him work for it. She was so awesome and I absolutely adored her. She is why I enjoyed this book.
I picked up Casanova just from the cover as a blind read. and really enjoyed it. The banter between Elliott & Kate as they realize the hate they believe they feel with each other is truly an intense attraction. I didn't want to like Kate's El but I couldn't help myself. As the book continues different actions just like in Kate's eyes become endearing and loving vs egotistical and rude. Come on he got his goat a girlfriend! Casanova truly showed how El and Kathyrns love grew each day and each moment. As they learned to communicate through their emotions, work on their past trauma and let love in.
TL Swan is a favorite of mine and every book she writes just gets better! The Takeover is definitely my favorite out of this series, but The Casanova comes in at a close second. Loved every minute of Kate and Elliot’s story! They were too cute. Definitely recommend.
This was everything I expected to be. It was my first time reading something from TL Swan and I became a fan already!
