The Casanova by T L Swan

You really aren’t ready for this…

Thank you netgalley, can’t put into words how much I love you because I was able to read this gem early😍

Oh Elliot, you do take after your brothers don’t you, when you fall you don’t do it gently👀

This book was absolute perfection. It’s no secret that I love T L Swan’s books - I’m pretty sure you’ve all seen me swoon over Spencer Jones many times (still god tier book boyfriend - COME AT ME)🤦🏼‍♀️

But this series is everything. Everything you want, need, imagine in a romance book. It’s hilariously funny to the point that you’ll laugh out loud multiple times. It’s spicy 🔥 heartwarming and swoonworthy - but you all expected that because you’ll know all about his older brothers😍

Elliot and Kate were a joy to read. I literally exclaimed ‘I knew it’ at approximately 11pm last night because I couldn’t put it down. It’s a whirlwind ride that you won’t want to get off.

As always, it’s beautifully written with the family relationships being stunning to read. Drama. Sex. Mystery. And a group of angry ducks…

You don’t want to miss it. Out at the end of august and I cannot WAIT for Elliot’s paperback to meet up with The Stopover and The Takeover.

100% one of the best reads of the year.

I wasn’t so sure about Elliot and Kates story at first. It picks up - what a great story. I laughed out loud and loved revisiting the other brothers and their lives. Elliot is a bit much but I liked how the story followed his realization it can’t be about what he thinks - he has to look around and see what’s right in front of him. Thank you Netgalley for the ARC. Great summer read

⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5

Elliot Miles is known in the media as Casanova Miles, you can guess why.
Kathryn Landon works at Miles media, she is good at her job but her and her boss Elliot don’t always get along. But then of course something change and both of them see each other in a different light.

I would be lying if I was saying I wasn’t nervous for his book. T.L. Swan always does an amazing job with setting op her characters in her previous books. And that was also the case for Elliot.
At some point the story did move on quite quickly but nothing that bothered me personally expect that the end got wrapped up a little too fast for my liking. But I sometimes need a story where the couple knows there is something more, and this is the case for most of T.L. Swan’s books.

4.5

Like all of TL’s books, once I sat down and started reading it was hard to stop. I love this series so much. One page I was laughing and the next I felt tears of sadness. My favorite moments were the bits and pieces we saw of past characters (Tristan and his family are forever my favorites). There’s nothing like an alpha male completely losing control. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Christopher’s book.

3/5 stars

Elliot and Kate’s story was intriguing and sexy. I enjoyed the office romance and enemies to lovers trope.

I enjoyed that Kate didn’t take his crap and was willing to stand up to him. Elliot was the typical CEO with unreasonable expectations in certain instances. Their banter was fun and witty in the office. I would have liked to see their relationship progress more at work.

I had a hard time realizing work Elliot was the same person as vacation Elliot. During work Elliot was super short, callous and rude. Outside of work we saw none of those traits unless he was throwing a temper tantrum (which seemed to mostly happen at work).

The other issue for me was that Kate went from an independent main character to a love sick puppy in just a few chapters. She seemed to lose her backbone almost instantly. Which was annoying. She did get it back in the end.

I would have liked to see the chemistry between them a little more before they were suddenly together. I think that would have helped the hate to love relationship feel not so rushed.

Overall I enjoyed the book. It was a fun romance read

After reading The Stopover and The Takeover, books number one and two of this series, I saw this book and knew that I had to immediately jump in to read about the third Miles brother, Elliot Miles. Elliot Miles heads up the London Miles Media office as was mentioned in both previous books in the series. Kate is the IT department head and works for Miles Media.
At first, I thought this would be too similar to The Stopover where there is a workplace romance, but this was so different. First of all, they start off as enemies. Who doesn't love a good enemy to lovers story. I was sucked into the story from the very beginning and just had to know where it was going to go. I couldn't put it down and read it in one day.
Without giving away any spoilers, the twist at the end had me going for sure. I usually can predict big twists like that but I had not seen this one coming at all.
As for this book, I would one thousand percent recommend everyone to read this book and the other books in this series. T L Swan has become an instant buy author for me as her books always deliver.

Oh my heart T.L. Swan! The Miles Men not only have fierce love for each other as brothers but love their women with unapologetic fervour and it is amazing.

I love the complex nature of the relationships that T.L. Swan creates and how the characters have to grow and be vulnerable to allow their significant other a place in their heart.

I loved this so much and the grovelling was epic! So brilliantly done!

The only little thing that bothered me a little was the online chatting. I didn't like the fact that once Elliot knew it was Kate, he opened up to her so much more online than what he did in person especially since he knew Kate didn't know that he knew it was her. That did not sit right with me. Kate was not much better in that situation I must add.

I have recently discovered TL Swan’s books and have been devouring them! She has a way of telling a story that is refreshing and unique, and The Casanova is no different.

After 7 years of working together, Kathryn and Elliot hate each other. This changes of course when Elliot sees Kathryn one evening with her guard let down and things go from there.

Like the other Miles High Club books, the story is told from both Kathryn’s and Elliot’s POV. I love this because we really get a sense of how both characters are feeling throughout the story.

There are some questionable decisions made by both parties in the story, but I think the way Elliot tries to make up for his behavior is sweet and endearing.

I will say that the story felt a bit rushed and I don’t know if I ever got a feel for Elliot. He is described by Kathryn as being caring and thoughtful, but I didn’t see much of that in his character until the end. In The Takeover, TL Swan does a great job of really showing us who Tristan is, and I would have liked to see that for Elliot, too.

I still liked the book. The spice that I’ve come to expect from this author was great, and I will be eagerly awaiting the next installment.

Best Miles story yet! Elliot Miles is swoonworthy, smart, vulnerable, and sexy. His care for Kathryn is evident and the book does a great job of investing you in the couple and both characters as individuals. There was one scene (you’ll know the one) where I found myself actually laughing out loud. Now I’m just impatiently waiting for Christopher’s sorry: Highly recommend!!

Love this book! The Takeover was a book I love to reread and was hopefully for the next installment. I was not disappointed at all! Elliot and Kate are an amazing match that come from such an original enemies to lovers story that is so different from Tristan and Claire’s story in a great way. There is so much chemistry and emotion between them. Kate’s traumatic past and Elliot’s domineering ways make the story so interesting I could not put the book down! The ending was perfect and surprising. I am definitely a fan of TL Swan and eagerly the next Miles High Club story!

Okay, if you do not want to read spolers, you should stop reading this.
I wanted to give my feedback without any leaks, but this I just need to talk about this book.

This book follows Kate and Elliot a.k.a Casanova Miles. It is 3rd book about Miles brothers, and I love the whole series. So when I saw this ARC I just needed to read it ASAP.

We met Ellito before, and let just say his reputaion was known as womanizer, but he had a weak spot for art, and for one woman he never really met, just saw, he named her Balerina....

And who is Kate, you may ask... Well, Kate is a Head of IT team in Miles company London. And she works for Elliot, and she hate his guts. Elliton doesn't like her, he thinks she is a B***ch... But something change for him, when he sees her dancing... And for him sparks fly...

And Yes, you guess it, they come together, and their romance is little wird, it is full of ups and downs... And just when everything is okay and lovely, Elliot behaves like an ass, and goes to meet a woman of his Dreams... Leaving Kate heartbroken. His answer to his actions is he would always ask himself WHAT IF....
Well this didn't sit well with me. Let me just say, the grass is always greener on the other side. Or don't go chasing waterfalls...
If you love someone, he or she is enough. There is no What IF...

I would not forgive...and they just said I love yous... So let just say Elliot is not my favorite Miles brother, and Yes you guess it right this wasn't my favorite one in the series...
It was just 3.5 stars for me...

T L Swan has quickly become one of my go-to authors, and once again, her latest offering in the Miles High Club series doesn’t disappoint. For those of you who haven’t read the two previous books, I would go so far as to say that The Casanova can be read as a standalone. Why? Because while getting hooked on Elliot Miles and Kathryn Landon’s all-consuming story, the author’s narrative skills convinced me that the new reader would easily be able to pick up on the know-how.

Swan doesn’t beat around the bush. Taken aback to see that there weren’t any paragraph breaks, the pacing is faster than fast. Something else that stood out was the change in her protagonists’ voice fonts. Another one used for the text messages helped me differentiate between conversations—and ooh boy, was I sold! Whom, you may ask is opening their heart online. It was so pleasantly weird, I had little option but to do an all-nighter, and since I wanted to savour Swan’s story to the hilt, I had no qualms about reading until daft o’clock!

Swan delivers all the feels and so much more. I adored how Kate came across as the no-nonsense employee whose tolerance for her boss’s unrealistic expectations was questionable. She’s not just good, she’s the best—but beneath her work facade lies a stunningly beautiful and sensitive person. Much to Elliot’s charagin, he can’t stop thinking about the woman he’d chosen to ignore for years. And then the fun begins. Yeap, observing them rub each other up the wrong way made me giggle heartily!

Where do I start with Elliot? No pun intended, but his layers are like peeling an onion that makes your eyes water. Some of his actions spoke louder than words and had me silently sobbing into my pillow! But if I lapped up the intolerant side of him, his vulnerability got the better of me. That said, this drop-dead gorgeous CEO who wants for nothing has a lot to answer for. Will all be forgiven? You’ll only find out by diving in with an open mind.

Being the banter snob that I am, Swan knocking all of her characters’ dialogue out of the park was an utter delight. And oh my, the animal scenes in perfect surroundings had me laughing out loud! Not only was this outstanding couple’s story cleverly put together, but the supporting role development bang on. Also, my heart suffered when the author saw fit, my smiles were at her every whim and to be honest, her prose left me in awe.

As my brain is running riot right now, I can’t say much more without spoiling this workplace enemies-to-lovers romance with a difference for you. However, what I’d like to mention are the quotes I’d highlighted. Seeing as it’s traditionally published, I had no wish to put my foot in it, but for the love of reading creative writing, this book overflows with emotional scenes and one-liners, great comebacks and hilarity! Last words; don’t think twice, one-click and enjoy Elliot and Kate’s journey. Bravo, Swan!

Many thanks to Amazon Publishing UK for the ARC through NetGalley in return for an honest review.

one of the few times i wish it had detailed pov from elliot obviously this was not my first tl swan book i just did not understand some of his decisions and i thought he was immature. the grovel was better than most of the books ive read but again it’s another case of telling but not showing. overall i think kate deserved better.

TL Swan has perfected the romance and the humor for all her books. Her men can swept you off your feet and make you laugh out loud.

This book is about Elliot Miles and Kathryn Landon. One of the Miles Brothers.
Boss / Employee trope. Enemies to lovers. From the get go, grumpy Elliot and feisty Kate, hated each other. One time, Elliot saw Kate differently and he got interested and The fun, sarcastic banter started.

What I like about the book is Kate, she was bold knows what she wants, holds her conviction and made Elliot work for it. On the other hand, Elliot is a mystery. He was called a Casanova, but it didn’t show how he was as a passionate man towards a woman, but rather passionate with other things like the arts and fate. I hated his “what if” moment but I think he really regretted it.

There are many things going on inside the book like the secret identities of the main using a dating app and the secondary characters with hidden motives which for me is kind of predictable and confusing. The other characters from the recent books made cameos adding lively humor to the story. I am quite interested with Christian’s book in the future. Overall, a fun, steamy book to read.

This book is so funny, sexy and just what I needed to get my weekend MOJO going. When you read a TL Swan book you know you are going to get a sexy alpha and a lot of steamy good times and this book doesn't disappoint. I love the humor in this book as well which brings a bit of reality to. I hope she makes this into an audiobook because I can't wait to hear his sexy voice!

A couple months ago I discovered TL Swan and I devoured ALL of her books within a month. Needless to say, I was left wanting more! I couldn't wait for The Casanova to come out and was thrilled to see it available on NetGalley - score!

The Casanova is the third installment of the The Miles High series. Elliot Miles is one of four Miles brothers and is the CEO of Miles Media in the UK. He has been famously dubbed "The Casanova" as he can get any girl he wants and can make them do whatever he wants. Because he seems to be popular tabloid fodder, he tries to lead a private life. Deep down inside, he is a hopeless romantic and wants to find his fantasy girl - a woman that's extraordinary and just out of his reach. Elliot is an avid art collector and find himself drawn to one woman's artwork - no one knows who she is but she goes by the name Harriet Boucher.

Kate Landon is whip smart and runs the IT department at Miles Media. For seven years she's bumped heads with Elliot and is his arch nemesis. She hates Elliot with a passion and lives to torment him. Still grieving over her parents death, that happened many years before, she tries to make herself as invisible as possible - she hides behind an unkempt appearance and dowdy clothes. She puts all her energy into working and not much else.

One night after work hours, Elliot spots an attractive woman in a netball dress dancing in the copier room. He's bewildered when he realizes that the woman is Kate! He hasn't been that attracted to a woman in a long time and he doesn't know what it means. It doesn't help that Kate's new flatmate Daniel, a fashion stylist, says that enough is enough and gives Kate a complete makeover. Kate walks into Elliot's office the next day looking smoking hot and the attraction between them is palpable. Still confused about his feelings about her, he doesn't act on it - that is, one day, he finds Kate passed out at work from taking strong painkillers. He takes her home and realizes that he's really attracted to her.

They start seeing each other on the DL and both agree that their relationship is merely casual. It quickly goes beyond that and they end up falling for each other. The moment Elliott realizes that he is in love with her, he gets news that his private investigator has identified and located the elusive artist he's been obsessed with over the years. He's shocked when he finds out that Harriet is beautiful and young and happens to be the woman he often sees at art auctions and has been chasing for years. Always the dreamer and fantasizer, Elliot is torn because he loves Kate but he is firm believer in fate and needs to know if Harriet is the one that he's been meant to be with. If she is, what does that mean for him and Kate? Does Kate get her happily ever after?

I don't know how Swan does it, but she can tell a unique, engaging story. She has a way of sucking you in to the point where it's impossible for you to put down the book.. I love her writing style and loved that the book was told in dual POVs (Elliot's and Kate's). The plot was a bit rushed in my opinion (but still excellent) and felt that the character development for this book wasn't as strong as her other books. I still enjoyed this immensely and and will be waiting with baited breath for hopefully a fourth book to come out for Christopher Miles!

Thank you, NetGalley, Amazon Publishing UK and TL Swan for providing me with an eARC in exchange for my honest review.

The Casanova was the first book I’ve read by TL Swan and I loved it! It was sweet, sexy, and swoon worthy! Elliot and Kathryn were such fun characters to watch grow and evolve. I found myself laughing out loud so often while reading this one. And that ending! The angst had me flipping pages so quickly! I had to know what was going to happen. This was the third book in the series, but I didn’t feel like I was missing anything reading this as a stand alone. I will definitely be going back and grabbing the first two to read. A great one to add to your TBR!

I had read the Takeover and loved it, so I was super excited for this book as well, a few days before I saw that it was available for reading now on Netgalley so I decided to read it immediatly. I am sad to say that I was bored within the first couple of chapters and was realizing slowly that I was not enjoying this as much as The Takeover.
