A delightful celebration of a read was this book. I enjoyed Fliss's journey down the pages. The author's writing was heartwarming and I was transported to the locales of France. A sweet story.

This was such a brilliant book! I was bereft when I finished it and had to leave Fliss and the chateau behind. The cast of characters is just delightful and as usual the food and drink descriptions are absolutely divine. Highly recommend.

Lovers of Four in a Bed and Escape to the Chateau will absolutely adore this book. It was like reading an extended version of those programmes, but with far less drama.

I loved Fliss and her sisters, their relationship was so lovely to watch develop. and the French setting really brings a little extra to this lovely book.

As with so many Jo Thomas books, the food and drinks descriptions in this book are fantastic. Be sure you curl up with some cake and a cuppa when you pick this book up.

This was a very cute story which I read very quickly. From the time that Fliss and her sisters arrived, to the closing words of the story, you were cheering her on all of the time.

I loved getting to know the occupants (including the animals) of the chateau, along with the townspeople. It was an interesting theme to see how outsiders are (not) welcomed into a new area and country, and what people should do about it.

I loved finally finding out about how the chateau comes into the ownership of Fliss and her family, and the secrets that her Grandfather had kept, and the relationship he had with the area.

This is a beautiful story and I don't think would just need to be read at Christmas. It is a story of redemption, both of the families involved, and the area.

Oh I loved this book and could not put it down.

Fliss and her sisters end up inheriting a French chateaux after their grandfather dies but they didn’t even know it existed. I really loved watching the story unfold and for Fliss to sort her life out. She was a great protagonist and someone I think was easy to like and want to do well.

This book has such a range of colourful characters and that’s one of the things I really liked reading. There’s Fliss and her sisters, a nephew and then there’s the French characters, each of which had something to contribute. It was nice to see progression not only in Fliss but everyone else around her, making the book feel really whole.

When you read a novel by Jo Thomas you know that the food and drink experience will be amazing and second to none, and this was no exception.

When Fliss and her sisters are left a chateau in France, with a sitting tenant, it is only a matter of time before Fliss falls in love with the location and decides to open a B&B.

I loved the characters within the story, from the ethereal chatelaine Charlotte, to grumpy neighbour Jacques, Jason Fliss' nephew and Jacque's step daughter Clementine.

As always with Jo Thomas' books, community is at the heart of her stories, so it was lovely to see the community rally round to help when Fliss needed help. With a New Years Eve wedding at the chateau this book gives you all the romantic festive vibes you could possibly want.

I really, really enjoyed Celebrations at the Chateau by Jo Thomas, so much so that I read this book in one sitting it was fab. Fliss and her sisters find out they have inherited a chateau in France, only problem is it has a sitting tenant. So they must set out to make the château pay for itself or lose it completely. I’m hoping there’s a sequel to this book, I soooo loved it.

A joyful, festive read since in France. Three sisters discover their grandfather has left them a chateau and they think they've struck gold until they release there is a catch... a long standing tenant. They are unable to sell it as they first hoped and it comes with a hefty financial commitment that they have to workfare to overcome. An idyllic setting, mouthwatering food and a host of colourful characters.

This was a really lovely, light-hearted, feel good book set in France. Such a lovely book to settle down with in a cozy chair, a fuzzy blanket, a hot cup of coffee, and a candle flickering on the side table. This book was a relatively quick read and one I would recommend to anyone looking for something light, fluffy, and quick to read.

A lovely feel good book with a happy ending. A nice easy read that I finished in a couple of days.
Tells the story of Fliss who had no real purpose or direction in her life as she becomes the owner of a chateau in France. Unsure whether she’s up to the task of saving it from getting into the wrong hands she does she best with the help of a few new friends.
