What an absolute brilliant book this is from Elizabeth Enfield told so sensitively although it is filled with grief and loss all the characters were well developed and the storyline just unfolded so well with an excellent ending.
Thank you to Netgalley and Penguin Books for giving me the opportunity to read this wonderful book.
Despite the good reviews I was hesitant to read After Beth as I was sure I'd find it a difficult and upsetting read..It was an emotionally challenging read but also one of the most powerful and moving novels I've read. The author portrays a mother's grief so powerfully and with such deep empathy and insight that I felt I there walking alongside Cate and her pain. Enfield sensitively explores how one family grieves and how the loss is never forgotten, the pain never goes away but life grows around the grief and loss. It is a book filled with hope and I found it to be an ultimately uplifting read . Highly recommended and one of my reads of the year.
Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read and review this digital ARC.
