I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x
An easy enjoyable read. Frankie Fox is found by Arlo Milburne on his private island. Sparks fly but will past tragedies prevent them having a future together,
Good story, characters that the reader can relate to. Well thought out storyline.
Guarded billionaire Arlo Milburn never expected to find gorgeous stranger, Frankie Fox, in his bed! Stranded on his private island, their intense attraction brings them together… But can it break down his walls entirely?
True love.
You might not think it's real, might be frightened of it, or not be quick to recognise it. But even the thickest of skins will eventually see it, when it's there with the right person.
The tragedies of life can be painful, but the rewards of having loved are greater.
With a happy ever, in this romance of at times great lows and highs of life and loving, where happiness wins through in the end.

A new author to me
This is a light hearted easy to read book and a great afternoons read with a cuppa
An enjoyable 'opposites attract' romance where social media influencer Frankie meets reclusive arctic explorer Arlo whilst stranded by a storm in Northumberland. Whilst it would seem the two should have nothing in common, the attraction is almost instant and, this essentially being a two handed story with very limited secondary characters, the reader is treated to an ring side seat to watch Frankie and Arlo begin to fall for each other, examine their hidden guilt and fears about allowing themselves to be happy, and discovering that, sometimes, love does conquer all. The characters are well developed and the pace of the plot suits the over-arching story as we follow the two as they deal with their past hurts and look to the future, and the romance elements are strong.
A passionate encounter on a Northumberland island brings Frankie and Arlo together. This is an atmospheric and emotional romance with a contemporary edge. There are believable characters, sexy encounters and a growing emotional connection between the couple. The internal conflicts are relatable, and the romance is hot. This is the perfect romantic escape for those who like sensual romance.
I received a copy of this book from Mills and Boon via NetGalley in return for an honest review.
This book was light hearted and easy to read. I enjoyed reading it and it contained everything I expect from a mills and boon book. I liked the characters and the book was easy to understand. Thank you for the E-ARC mills and boon! Can’t wait to read more from you!
Really lovely. A very romantic pairing between two apparent opposites which after fiery sparks settles into a short term fling. The emotional hang ups of Arlo freeze him up and you are really rooting that he overcomes his blockage and puts his love on the line. There aren’t many twist, just a gentle romp set in the north of England, where even the bleak weather is made pretty and glossy and atmospheric.
I received an ARC from Netgalley and Mills and Boon in return fir an honest review.
I have read several of this author’s books and on the whole have loved them. There have been a couple which disappointed but far more, like this one, that I totally loved!
LF has a distinctive voice and creates characters who come to life, and experience real emotions in a very human way.
Frankie and Arlo’s story was delicious. Sexual tension from the get-go, understandable emotions and fears, a great sense of ‘place’ and a story that made sense. There were no manufactured barriers or wounds but totally understandable reasons for why they each behaved as they did.
Highly recommend for those who like Mills and Boon romances which seem closer to real life even while they provide an escape to something completely fictional. 5 stars
