A great range of samples here, with something for everyone. Some books I have loved, and others that are on my tbr.

Interesting collection of previews, the highlight of which for me was Green Rising by Lauren James. The characters were interesting and the plot beginning to form by the end of the preview had me intrigued enough to want to keep going. Really recommend.

Some really promising stories in this bunch. Really looking forward to seeking a few out - probably most keen for The Revelry.

Picking up samplers was always one of my favorite parts of YALC, so thank you for making them available electronically. I loved these extracts and have preordered a few books as a result.

That's really unfair: publishers shouldn't be allowed to tease us like that. ;) Now I want to read everything and I have to wait for months until it's published! Too frustrating - but great previews. :)

I absolutely loved All Our Hidden Gifts last year so when I saw there was a sampler of the sequel, The Gifts That Bind Us, available from Netgally, I had to request it immediately. The first book is about a young Irish girl called Maeve who finds an old dec of tarot cards in her school and discovers an uncanny ability to read them and start to figure things out about her classmates and their futures. When her former best friend Lily goes missing it seems to have to do with a reading Maeve had to do for her, and she has to draw on her new mysterious knowledge and some new friends to get her back. The sampler of the second book is set just after the ending of the first, and it concentrates on the group of friends that have formed a kind of a gang after being brought together by the supernatural forces of the previous months.

It's mot as easy as it looks to sell real friendships and in YA fiction they're usually made more real through drama or we are told they've known each other for their whole lives and that's that but here we can really recognise the sudden intense friendships of your teens, the over familiarity, in jokes, and in group tensions. O'Donoghue also deals with diversity and inclusion well in this series in a way that hopefully points to a new modern Ireland without ever seeming forced. I'm just so upset I've to wait so long to find out more!

Brilliant. I'm honestly excited for all of these, especially Green Rising and Queer Up - this one sounds exactly like the book I wish I'd had in my teens.

There are a couple of books I'm really excited about in here! In particular The Outlaws Scarlett & Browne, and Green Rising.

This preview has made me so excited for Walker YA next year!

I cannot wait for Caroline O'Donoghue's 'The Gifts That Bind Us' as I am still thinking of 'All Our Hidden Gifts' from this year. I need to know what happens next! The cover for this one is just as beautiful as the first!

Anything by Lauren James and Katherine Webber goes immediately into my tbr list so I am very excited about those!
