Charlie Owns the Night recovers all the tragedy of the Vietnam war. Ms. Cullen has written a detailed story of love and loss but, at least for me, it did not bring strong emotions regarding any of them, it was as if she was taking a portrait of people and what was happening. For a romance, it needed to be stronger on feelings.
