I really enjoyed reading this book, especially because I could personally relate to the theme, having experienced something similar in my own life. The way the story looks into the complexities of rekindled romance and the emotional turmoil of past heartbreaks felt very real and engaging. The characters were well-developed and relatable, making their journey all the more compelling. The twist towards the end added an unexpected depth to the story, leaving me quite satisfied as a reader! This book beautifully captures the delicate balance between guarding one's heart and embracing new possibilities, making it a truly enjoyable read.
I must firstly apologise for the amount of time it has taken me to provide a review of this book, my health was rather bad for quite some time, something that had me in hospital on numerous occasions and simply didnt leave me with the time I once had to do what I love most.
Unfortunately that does mean I have missed the archive date for many of these books, so It would feel unjust throwing any review together without being able to pay attention to each novel properly.
However, I am now back to reading as before and look forward to sharing my honest reviews as always going forward. I thank you f0r the patience and understanding throughout x
Fate has often conspired against Chloe. So, when an old flame, Ed, reappears out of the blue, Chloe must decide whether she will succumb to the euphoric, addictive and giddy happiness of a rekindled romance, or close her heart to love in order to protect herself from the emptiness left by previous broken hearts.
Chloe has worked hard to get to where she is professionally, to be successful. Although she has been in love and been loved, she has not yet found the ‘happily ever after’ that she longed for... until, possibly, now. Maybe, just maybe, this time fate will push her in the right direction.
But when past hurt haunts the present will Chloe embrace the thrill of the rollercoaster ride, or let her fear of falling stop her from getting on it?
*Thank you to the Publisher, NetGalley and EV Radwinter for an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
You know you have read too many mystery and suspense novels when you are reading a beautifully written romance novel and when waiting for the male character to either be an imposter, a murderer or married! Luckily, Ed, our key man in "Loves Lost and Found" turns out to be none of these things.
When you have experienced a long line of poor relationships, how do you know what is the real thing when it happens? This is Chloe's experience in this debut novel by EV Radwinter. She runs into Ed one day on her daily walk into town when he passes by her in a police car and realizes he knows her. It turns out that many years ago they had met each other through a group of friends and connected, though they were at different places in their lives. This time, they are both single and their friendship develops into a romance. "Loves Lost and Found" is a simple book about a love affair between two damaged people and how they eventually let themselves fall in love. Their relationship felt genuine, and both characters were amazing in their own way.
This book was a pleasant read, and while it didn’t ‘grab’ me and make me go “Wow!” I did still enjoy it overall.
I thought that a lot of main character’s thoughts and actions were pretty accurate to real life, especially the concern and caution around entering into another relationship after previous failed relationships. Although I think she is more forgiving than I might have been!
My thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me to read this book in return for an honest review.
How do you know which man will be “the one”? He should be trustworthy, loving, and someone who values your needs as well as his own. Chloe had been unlucky in love and when she runs into Ed, whom she had not seen in years, their friendship blossoms and maybe turns into love? I enjoyed this story even though she revisits her failed loves and sometimes it felt disjointed. The trials and tribulations of two people who care for each other but fear another relationship felt very real. I loved the support of family and friends exhibited. Great characters!
A quaint novel that revisits lost loves against the beginning of a new love that could be the one.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was a interesting read about love lost , heartbreak finding love and with all that entails.. Finally ending with a happily ever after when you take a chance on love.
I received an advance copy of, Loves Lost and Found by, E V Radwinter. I found the main character to be boring and to in to herself. I really wanted to like her, but could not.
I really liked this story, it was very romantic but in a real life way. There were ups and downs, break-ups, cheating and redeeming oneself. Once heartbroken Chloe isn't sure she can can trust her heart to someone again, and then along comes Ed. Will he be the one? You'll have to read the book to find out...and I, for one, recommend you do.
This book had me cheering Chloe on, at times she was a little whiny but she had every reason to be so...there is nothing wrong with a little pity party as long as you eventually get out of it, and Chloe does! She finds strength within herself and pulls up her bootstraps. She lets us know the reasons she is so gun shy about romance. I liked how the author delved into that and then...."back to the present." They style of the writing really drew me in. Ed's whole family dynamic seemed kinda unbelievable...I am very close to my ex but NOT in the way Ed and his ex-wife are. Other than that this was a perfect read for a couple of rainy summer days.
