Set over a few different timelines and narrated by different characters,this book was a breeze to read (in a good way).
But close attention needs to be paid to the characters and all the very many ways they connect to each other. Almost made my head hurt. 😄

Fast paced,and packing a punch,it's quite the journey to discovering what happened to missing Alice.
Plenty of secrets and lies to keep you turning pages

Wow! A real heart pounder! I loved this book! It was thrilling, it had intrigue, suspense, and lots of heart pounding moments! Lots of twists and turns!! Definitely some jaw dropping moments! I highly recommend reading this book! Its well worth the thrill!

This is a superb novel. Without giving anything away by way of spoilers, it is impossible to reveal too much. The Hiltons are involved, and the midwife's family, and it is a complex tale involving all of them, but rewarding for the reader and I would highly recommend the novel. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for giving me a copy of the novel, I really enjoyed it.

Wow! What a powerful book this had me hooked from the start. The story spans generations and tells of lies, grief and secrets. It was extremely well written and had you guessing right to the end.
It starts with a war between two families which spirals our of control through the generations. Loved the characters and couldn’t put this book down.
Highly recommended
