This was a very sweet, feel-good story! The Oregon coast was a beautiful backdrop for romance + lots of coffee. The eclectic, seaside family coffee shop which served as the main setting was practically a character in its own right, and somewhere I wish I could visit. Although a good part of the story focused on the friendships and family relationships of the core group of women, the main story of a tried-and-true "enemies-to-lovers" romance enjoyable, and, fittingly, slightly magical. Although I read this for the first time in August, I think this would be a perfect read for a wintry day in front of a fire (and coffee of course!)

Pour a hot cuppa and start reading this delightful para-witch story. I consider it a contemporary cozy mystery (without a murder).

The first paragraph made a great impression on me, and it was smooth sippin’ until the last word. The rugged, rainy Pacific Northwest winter setting of Portland, Oregon makes a cozy setting for The Yurt coffee shop customers to gaze out the windows at the ocean.

Protagonist, Florence Mackenzie is a barista who’s fired from Sam’s ‘Spresso coffee cart business prompting her to return home to Windia, Oregon and re-join the family’s coffee shop business, The Yurt. The business has had it’s ups and downs over the years, and is suddenly approached by a handsome man offering to buy them out. They refuse. Then, Pearl, Florence’s grandmother, tells her a secret that could destroy all they’ve worked for.

The fun begins when Flo unknowingly purchases some ‘magical’ coffee beans! Author Erin Ritch has several surprises up her sleeves that bring chuckles, mixed emotions, and healing vibes to Florence and her family members. The supporting cast is very appealing. The story would make a wonderful Hallmark Movie. The earth shattering ending is spectacular and a happy ending for all.

I honestly reviewed an un-edited digital arc provided by NetGalley, Books Go Social, and No Wyvern Publishing. All opinions are my own.

DNF at 36%

I tried so hard to get into this I really did. It had such an intriguing premise, but I got 36% in and nothing had really happened. So far Florence had came home to Windia, found out another shop (the one that just fired her!) was trying to move into town, and the town was obsessed with the new beans at the Yurt (Florence’s family’s coffee shop).

I found myself skimming to get to a more interesting part, but it never came. The beginning was full of information dumps about Florence’s family and the town. I also was expecting this to be more of a romance and so far there was none. This just isn’t for me.

Check it out if you’re interested in someone trying to save their family business, the town getting addicted to some new coffee beans, and magic! If you’re looking for a romance. Skip this book altogether.

Witchy Coffee is about Florence who returns home to Windia after being fired from her job in Portland and when she gets home, she finds out that a coffee house chain is trying to buy out her family’s coffee shop. This novel is full of magic, shenanigans, and an enemies-to-lovers romance. Readers who enjoy stories about a tight-knit family and dedicated coffee shop owners are sure to love this book.

Although this book contains several wonderful elements, there were times when it lacked build-up to things. For instance, the enemies-to-lovers romance felt like something was missing, and characters frequently overreact to things throughout the story.

Although I didn’t enjoy this book, I do think other people will like it.

THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE.

I wanted to like it so much. I was under the impression that it would be a romance, but it isn't. I don't even know what it is. It's more about trying to save the coffee shop than anything else. It's cute, I did enjoy the beginning, but then no romance was developing, I can't even say a romance happened. So many things seemed out of place, or mentioned once and never again. Also, the epilogue had soooo many gaps, how did everything happen??? I really don't get it.

Witchy Coffee is such a fun and fluffy read! Set in small, seaside Oregon town, this book will give you all the Practical Magic vibes. I enjoyed all of the characters and the overall plot. It is a fairly quick read that will have you laughing and smiling from page one. This book is the perfect read to sit by the fire with a cup of coffee and lose yourself for a few hours. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a light, feel good read with an ending that will leave a smile of your face .

Witchy Coffee was a kitschy comfy read with some great homey descriptions, cute characters and coffee-inspired contrivances that I could easily overlook in the name of a cheesy romance book. The touch of magic was very cute.

When I first saw this book, I was intrigued. I love coffee and a bit of magic sounded fun.

Unfortunately, it is a short read so there’s not much character development, which made it hard to feel connected to the story. The coffee beans were a cut aspect, but the other “witchy” scenes felt too random to make sense for the story.

I felt that the romance aspect was lacking as there wasn’t much of a development between Samson and Florence meeting and then being together…it just seemed off to me. There was so much potential there and I liked both the characters, just had a time connecting to their relationship.

I loved the setting! I’ve never been to the PNW and could still picture what the town looked like. I would love to visit a charming town like that in real life! Coffee in any form is a special type of magic on all on its and I loved the story was centered around competing coffee shops.

I am actually so sad that I didn't enjoy this book. I was so excited by the cover and the premise of the story but it just turned out flat for me. It really was not that exciting and I didn't have that excitement in me to want to know more. So unfortunately this is a 1 star book for me.

After getting fired, Florence heads back to small town Oregon, to help her grandma and spend Christmas. When a developer decides to buy them out it gets antagonistic. A fun easy read. Expected more in the romance, but overall a nice summer read. Would recommend.

Witchy Coffee follows Florence Mackenzie as she returns to her home town Windia, Oregon to help at the family coffee shop after being fired from her job. Unfortunately, she returns to a threat to her family business from a competing coffee company and soon magic coffee beans waft love into the town, at least that must be the only explanation for why she suddenly feels more than anger for the enemy...

This book sounded so good but unfortunately fell middle of the road for me. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Windia and the cold beachy town, would definitely recommend reading it in winter like i did.

I found it hard to feel fully immersed into the story until the last 100 pages and just found the characters -okay- aahh I’m so sad about this people.

The romance was a little flat for me, the characters stated their feelings towards the end but I felt that they weren’t shown or explored throughout the book before then. The romance felt like it just needed more scenes with the love interests interacting and showing the reader the tension or the feelings they were feeling. For a supposed rivals to lovers story it was pretty sudden and flat to me.

Witchy Coffee will be released on 24 August 2021 , so if you’re looking for a light, quick, atmospheric romance with a bit of magic, maybe this will do the job.

The worldbuilding in this novel is incredible - I really felt like I was in the Pacific Northwest, which is a feat since I'm all the way down in South Florida. The entire book gives cozy Lifetime movie vibes - it's like Charmed, with coffee.

A very cute love story, and I loved the premise of the magic beans, but I wish that the transition between enemies to lovers had been expanded a bit more. As it is, I recommend this book for those rainy days when you want a nice, comfortable, atmospheric read with low angst.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!

Set in a small town where the community spirit is strong, Witchy Coffee is a charming novel. The Mackenzie family is loyal, supportive and fun.

After the fiasco in her job, Florence returns home to be with her family. Samson is trying to expand on his family business which happens to be the same one that Florence has just left. His ambition is to take over their business, but they won't budge. It's their family tradition after all and they intend to keep it that way. It comes to light that Pearl, her grandmother has been keeping a secret. Will this secret force them to quit?

Florence and Samson start off being competition in the business, and as the story develops there is a turn. They find that they are rather fond of each other. The witchy twist adds fun to the story. The romance is a little sudden. Overall, it's a funny and easy read.

Witchy coffee is warmly, feel good read. Personally I think this is perfect book for Christmas or winter time- wrapped in blanket with hot chocolate coffee in mug.
At beggining I was little skeptic, I cound’t get into it. But as pages went I felt for Florence, her family, Samson and Windia. I’m interested in witchy things so I enjoyed this aspect of story as much as it’s romance. Only thing I’m not happy about is lenght- story could be little longer so I could stay in Windia

Witchy Coffee is a fun and quick-paced romance set in a sweet coastal Oregon town where magic is real. Florence is our heroine, who is determined to help the women in her family successfully keep their coffee shop out of the hands of Samson, the hero who is determined to buy the shop and replace it with a booming coffee franchise. It's the coffee version of You Got Mail if you add some witchcraft into the mix.

It's a lovely read with enough fun to want to turn the page, but not enough romantic connection between Florence and Sampson to fall head-over-heels. While the characters have interesting backstories that hint to deeper emotional levels, they stay largely on the surface which makes the romantic connection between the leading lady and her male counterpart a bit uninspired and flimsy.

The supporting characters shine with bright eccentric warmth, especially Pearl, the wise matriarch with a few magic tricks up her sleeves. More magic would have been welcome as it sometimes felt like an afterthought, but Pearl does her best to interject her unique quirks and rituals when necessary.

Overall, Witchy Coffee was enjoyable, and readers looking for a quick romantic escape with wholesome fun and a twist of magic should give it a try!

Thank you for the eARC.

This was a fun, quick read. The author's writing has a good flow and the Mackenzie family is quirky clan you want to root for. The description of the town and the treats in this book make you want to jump into the page.

While I liked the story and its magical qualities, I felt like there were missed opportunities to add more depth to the storyline and the relationships, especially between Samson and Florence.
