Thank you to Net Galley for an advance copy of this book. So far this has been a great series of books. In the second book the author tackles the extremely sensitive topic of suicide. It is not right that parents should outlive their child and to have to deal with the death of a child by their own hand must be inconsolible. The author does a tremendous job of this subject with empathy, dignity and understanding. I loved that the main character after having major setbacks in her life is able to overcome all of the odds and become a happy funcitioning person again with excitement and joy in her life. There are many subplots in this book that also touch your heart. I personally hope there will be third book in this series and if it is to be just a trilogy, I hope the author wraps up all of the subplots. This book made me cry in many places yet at the same time had an uplifting message in it. All in all a great read.

The Wyndham Beach series continues with the stories of three friends who grew up together and are still close in their late 50's. We had Maggie's story in An Invincible Summer and now we have Liddy's story. She has had a few years of sorrow and confusion over the suicide of her daughter, Jessie. She has harbored feelings of anger and resentment toward her husband Jim, who left on the one-year anniversary of Jessie's death. Now Liddy is living for herself with new beginnings. She bought the local bookstore and along with Grace, Maggie's daughter, she is doing great business. This story is a one of life's ups, downs, disappointments, and happy moments. Liddy is able to get some closure over the past and make new plans and beginnings for the future. Grace's story is also intertwined as she moves on from her painful divorce. In addition to helping Liddy, she is starting up a website business and looking to a new home, maybe even a love interest. This is another great addition to the series. I am hoping to see Emma's story coming up soon.
I received a complimentary ARC from Montlake and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are mine only.

Oh my gosh. This book is so much deeper than the first in this series. It is so good.

There are many tendrils woven throughout this story. Friends, relationships, new business, and new loves, put these all together and this is a fabulous read.

Liddy has lost a daughter to suicide, but no one knows why. Her suicide note doesn't allude to anything going on in her life, until one person puts the pieces together. Tragic.

Her lifelong friends are helping her get her bookstore rehabbed and open as Liddy begins the next chapter in her life following her divorce. Throw in a possible new love, realizing her late daughter was an extremely talented artist, issues with her bookstore and her ex-husband, well, you have a very readable story.

Ms. Stewart has done a fine job defining how one might move forward after multiple tragedies. Second chances at love, work, and even life are in this book. You're never too old to make a fresh start.

This is the second book in the Wyndham Beach series. Although you can read Goodbye Again as a standalone, I feel you get relevant background by reading the series in order.

The second book in the Wyndham Beach series centers on Liddy, a recent divorced woman who tragically lost her daughter only a couple of years before. Liddy is one of three women who were close all their lives: Emma, mother of Chris, and Maggie, mother of Natalie and Grace. Grace’s character also has a large place in this story.

Just like the first book, I enjoyed the enduring friendship between Emma, Maggie and Liddy, the way they support each other but still have their own lives. The women’s relationship with their adult children is also well-balanced, supportive without smothering.

Liddy finally opens her dream shop, a bookstore. She is learning to be alone and depend on only herself, and the friends both old and new. The shop is a success, and also allows Liddy some closure when she helps a young man, Dylan, who is homeless through no fault of his own.

While this is part of a series, it can also be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the previous book so you are familiar with the characters. I am looking forward to the next book in this series!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

I love Liddy's strength. Her daughter commits suicide and then a year later, her husband walks out on her. She has picked herself up and put her life back together. Liddy bought a rundown bookstore. Several advised against it but Liddy knows she can make it a success. She has help from her friends to get it in shape and there is also Tuck to help. Tuck is a contractor and is very happy to help Liddy. He has been a good friend for many years, but it seems he may want to be more than friends. Is Liddy ready? Can they move past the friend stage? Especially now that her ex has come back to say that he has never stopped loving her and wants to start again. Who will she choose?

A lovely story about returning to life after heartbreak. Lydia fell into despair after her daughter Jessica committed suicide but now, with a new business, and the help of friends, she's moving into the light. Tuck, her contractor is a good guy and reader so this genre know without spoilers what's going to happen. But Stewart doesn't make it easy= Lydia's ex is back and she's conflicted. Would that we all have friends like Maggie and Emma. I liked this for the portrait of a woman in mid-life dealing with difficult issues and looking up. Thanks to netgalley for the arc. A good read.

Goodbye Again brings us back to Wyndham Beach and the lives of three best friends, Liddy, Maggie, and Emma. It is a heartwarming story of love, hope, and second chances. It is also a story of heartbreak dealing with the suicide of Liddy’s daughter a couple years earlier. When Liddy’s husband walks out on the first anniversary of their daughter’s death, will she be able to forgive him and move on with her life? This story has so much depth to it dealing with heartache but also second chances at life and love. A story of family and trust, doing what is right. I recommend this book for a wonderful, feel good story. Mariah Stewart never disappoints!

Mariah Stewart’s writing is very smooth and effortless. I slipped right back into,the women from Wyndham Beach. Lydia is launching her book store and perhaps,dipping her toes back into the dating world. I love Tuck, a carpenter is so attractive and appealing. I just like how genuinely nice everyone is, even the less than appealing characters. Lydia shows how big her heart is by helping out a young man in need. I figured out the reason behind her daughter’s death fairly early on. I loved all,the book talk and bookstore vibes. Love this series!

Liddy is still reeling from her daughter’s unexplained suicide when her decides to leave their marriage. She throws herself full force into a failing bookstore in her beloved Wyndham Beach.

Second chances, tight friendships spanning generations in a pretty beach town are forefront. I loved reading about this group of friends from high school, now mature women with adult children who bring in a new set of worries. So refreshing to have a set of mature women, friends thru thick and thin, with little drama! Relatable women with relatable issues. I didn’t read the first book, but will go back at some point because it’s a story I’d like to visit. I look forward to Book 3!

Thanks to Ms. Stewart, Montlake Publishing and NetGalley for this ARC. Opinion is mine alone.

Book 2 in the series but I feel like this one could be read as a stand-alone. A highly enjoyable story about finding love and coming to peace with your past. Would be a great summer beach read!

Thank you #netgalley and #montlake for the eARC.

One of my favorite authors, yet this new series slipped by me somehow! While this is the 2nd book in the Wyndham Beach series, its absolutely a stand alone novel (that had me rushing to buy book #1 lol). We meet our main character Liddy - suffering from heart break and rebuilding her life. She's surrounded by a tribe of loyal girlfriends and a suitor that she never saw coming as she finds answers to mysteries holding her back and new purposes in her lfe. I always enjoy a clean story - no need to worry about random F bombs and sex scenes better suited for erotica. I cheered for Liddy throughout the entire book, enjoyed watching her heal and can't wait to see where this series go since I'm now invested in all the characters :) I was provided a digital copy of Goodbye Again in exchange for an honest review!

The story
Three best friends, Liddy, Maggie and Emma are now in their early sixties, and all back together in their childhood home of Wyndham Beach. Liddy’s daughter Jess committed suicide three years ago and a year later her husband Jim walked out on her with no explanation. Now Liddy has bought the old bookstore in town and is bringing it back to life. Maggie’s recently divorced daughter Grace is helping Liddy and the two become close. As the bookstore is being fixed up, Liddy becomes closer to her friend and contractor Tuck, but when Jim starts showing interest again, what choice will Liddy make?

My thoughts
I really enjoy books in the woman’s fiction genre, and this story has charm and detail in spades. I loved the close relationship that Liddy has with her friends and the no-nonsense approach to live that she now has. She has taken her fair share of life’s knocks and sadnesses, but she puts on her big girl panties every day and shows up for her community and her loved ones. I enjoyed how the chapters are interspersed with Grace’s equally kind and gentle POV. Loved this story and have added book one in the series to my Kindle’s TBR. ❤️

Goodbye Again is a wonderful and heartfelt story of love and loss, and being able to move on. Liddy redefines her life after divorce - she buys a bookstore, recreating her own life and giving opportunities to others for their own second chances. Liddy and her friends open their hearts to new possibilities, trying to find ways to overcome heartache, and moving forward. The definition of family takes on new meaning, the bonds of friendship offer support, and new love beckons. The story is heartwarming, emotional, and captivating. I loved it and look forward to the next book!

This was a slow paced novel. The story is about romance between aged individuals which is new for me. The romance was sweetly written. There was a side younger romance too developing. Though the story doesn't touch the heart much. Thus would give it 3 stars.

While reading Goodbye Again I felt like I was part of the group of Liddy, Maggie, and Emma. Mariah Stewart does an excellent job of making the reader feel right there.

This book was fair. It held my interest to a certain extent. it was a bit repetitive in places. I did skip over a few parts, however.

Liddy Bryant has lost a daughter to suicide and had her husband walk out on her. She has been in a fog but has now decided she needs to move on with her life. She buys an old bookstore and starts remodeling it. This is a story of family and relationships. The characters are likable and relatable. The issue of suicide and it’s effects on family is addressed in the book in a sensitive way. This book has a bit of suspense, conflict and romance along with a happy ending. This is the second book in a series but I felt it could stand alone. Thank you to net galley for an advanced readers copy.

This is the second book in this series. The first book showed the lives of three young women who had been best friends since they were very young. This book takes place about 25 years later and their children are grown. It is about second changes with the original woman finding new loves. And about the younger women dealing with their lives I really enjoyed this book

Tender and satisfying.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the last book, An Invincible Summer, Stewart really got to me with her storytelling about going home, cultivating friendships, and lost loves. This book targets the intense feelings of the loss of a child and a marriage. How one can move forward towards finding yourself again.
Stewart dives into the rebirth of a midlife woman as she pours herself into buying a business while finding hope and thinking about love again. We are also treated to several other characters in this saga that love and support her. It is a wonderful feeling to be able to reach out to a support system without judgement and Stewart combines that effortlessly in this book.
Her characters are strong and well developed with a backbone and care for all in their quaint town. She manages to develop and create a place and space that we could picture ourselves living in today.
With loads of emotion and tender feelings all around, this story will cause a few, okay, many tears to fall. But have no fear. She rescues us in the end with smiles for all!
