What an absolute delight! This is book 2 in the Wilder series but can be read as a standalone.
Brody is such a sweetheart. He is caring, considerate but the bad boy looks and past often leads to people judging him. I felt his pain and got why he did or does things in a manner to push them away or to make him hurt less. I loved how he makes us realise that to get things we deserve we have to believe that we really do deserve them. We have to choose ourselves and know that we are capable of being good and getting good our way.
Rachel is a person with plan. She has a plan laid down for her life, to get and do things in a manner but sometimes the plan needs a shake or to be turned upside down for us to be on the right path, to lead us to our destiny. Both their characters are relatable and engaging.
Serena Bell's writing is easy to read and will make us feel the emotions of the characters. This book has right pace, chemistry, is well written and made me laugh, smile but also shed some tears. The author shows how important is to communicate and express what we feel rather assuming things because it brings nothing good.
This steamy, sexy romance is absolute fun and heartwarming. The bonus book is perfect cherry on the cake. I can't wait to know the other Wilder brothers and their stories.
Thank you Netgalley for ARC of this in exchange of an honest review.
Perfect Rachael quickly finds out that her perfectly laid plans to wed her Mr. Perfect come crashing down when said Mr. Perfect is caught cheating on her. Then comes along Brody Wilder to shake things up. Loved the tie in of his last name to the title! This is the kind of book you smile to yourself while reading. I could not get enough!! Cannot wait to read future books from this author! Thank you to NetGalley and Jelsba Media Group for a copy of this book for an honest review.
First let me say that I am desperately in love with all the Wilder siblings now, and can't wait to read about the romantic adventures of all of them!
Brody Wilder is the 'bad boy' of the family clan, the guy with the tattoos, the motorcycle, and the chip on his shoulder. Rachael is the quintesential girl next door, who has the plan of her life down to a science including the perfect marriage to the perfect man, and eventually the perfect set of 2.5 kids.
So when Rachael walks in on Mr. Perfect fiance in her bed with another woman, she quickly decides that being the 'good girl' hasn't been working for her, and decides to go back to her hometown to see if she can hook up with the guy she has always secretly wanted, her brother's best friend, and our resident 'bad boy'.
This book is full of all the amazing romance goodness, we have the opposites attract element, we have the girl falling for her brother's best friend, and we have an almost instalove attraction between the two that has been stirring for years, that nobody ever admitted to.
As if all those things weren't enough, add in the hysterical moments that push them together, with Rachael taking over her mother's new job as 'sex toy specialist' for an up and coming home party company that she hosts on Brody's chartered boat.
It's the kind of romance that is a joy to read, and is truly the escape that you want with a good book!
Thanks so much to Serena Bell, Author Collective 20 and Jelsba Media Group Who gifted me this ARC via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
published to goodreads 8/26 and will post on instagram closer to release date

This is the second book in the Wilder Adventure series and while it can be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading Gabe & Lucyโs story first!
if you love:

I was so excited to be back in Rush Creek with the Wilder brothers and this book did not disappoint! Itโs fun and spicy as hell, but also emotional and heartwarming. Everything from the romance build up to the ending conflict just felt so natural and realistic.
Brody & Rachel are both relatable characters and I loved getting to see Brodyโs many layers unfold (that heartfelt convo with Gabe!! ๐ฅบ) while also getting to see Rachel come into her own and gain confidence!
Overall, this was a genuinely fun/heartwarming read and I cannot wait to have my heart ripped out by Clarkโs story in the next book!
Thank you to @netgalley for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review!
A great read!
Rachel's perfect life has fallen apart, so she is back in her home town and helping out her Mom. She wants some fun, a walk on the Wilder side, with Brady, the Wilder brother she is attracted to but is her brothers best friend.
What will happen when it is time for Rachel to return to her life in the city?
Can't wait for the next book in this series!
This was a sweet romance with likeable characters. Albeit predictable, the writing was easy to read and I had a great time! The whole family dynamic was fun and I'm looking forward to reading about the other brothers.

I absolutely loved this book and never wanted to put it down!
This is going to sound pretty vague just to keep this spoiler free, but the steps getting closer (regarding the plot and relationships) were exactly what I didn't know I wanted. Every beat felt super well executed. Progressions felt natural and perfect!
I loved how the communication worked between Brody and Rachel!
I loved the ending conflict. It felt very natural and reasonable from both perspectives. All in all, I loved the whole story. Well written, great characters, great plot. I can't wait to read more from this companion series!
I couldnโt wait to dive into this second book of this series, which I had really high expectations for after reading and living book 1. It did not disappoint! I loved everything about this story! I laughed so much during this one. Great story, great Mcโs, great secondary characters, great subplotโฆgreat everything!!! This is going into my top 5 for 2021.
Sexy, funny and surprisingly heartwarming, Walk on the Wilder Side is a fun read.
Fast paced and well written, with great supporting characters and a captivating plot, this book highlights the merits of stepping out of your comfort zone and living, whether it be deviating from the plan or choosing to put in the effort and believing in yourself. Sometime a detour in your journey can lead exactly where you were meant to be.
4.5 stars and a "Cadillac"
Whatโs a bad boy doing hosting a book club on his boat? Excellent question. All I can tell you is, itโs not going well. I forgot the bug wipes, the TP, and the hand sanitizer, weโre out of wine, andโฆ well, I may have made some people angry, if the Yelp reviews are any indication. The only way to dig myself out of this hole is to redeem myself by offering the best girlsโ nights out in town.
Enter my best friendโs sister. Iโve gone out of my way to avoid Rachel, since despite her good-girl rep, I canโt seem to get her out of my head. Now sheโs in my boatโฆ and if I donโt watch myself, soon sheโll be in my bed. Things are going surprisingly well between usโฆ but I know myself, and Iโm not this guy. Iโm the guy you want for fantasy fulfillment, not the guy you want for forever.
This is a stand alone in a series. I haven't read the first book but I was able to follow without problems. This book is funny and romantic. I like all the characters in the book. The family members are especially hilarious. They made the book interesting. A quick and fun read.
Thanks to the publisher for providing an ARC.

Walk on the Wilder Side by Serena Bell is the second book in Serena Bellโs popular Wilder Adventures series. This book can be read as a stand-alone book too. I enjoyed this steamy, funny, and heartwarming story about a bad boy and a good-girl librarian.
Rachel Perez has a plan for her life, and sheโs almost checked off every step in her plan. All she needs now is her boyfriend to propose, and then they can have 2.5 children (she canโt decide between 2 or 3 children) and live happily ever after in the suburbs. When she arrives at her job as a librarian in Boston, she is told that her job has been downsized and she is no longer needed. When she arrives home after this devastating news, she finds her boyfriend, in bed with another woman. Devastated, she decides to return to her hometown of Rush Creek and help her mother who has recently injured her ankle.
Brody Wilder is the screw-up of his family, and heโs working to remedy that by working hard in his familyโs outdoor adventure firm. But, when he hosts a book club on the family boat, everything goes wrong. The poor reviews for the book boat tour anger his family and making Brody feel like the family screw-up again.
Rachel helps her mother with her business of hosting hostess parties, selling self-enhancement products, and decides to host a party on Brodyโs boat. Rachel has had a crush on Brody since they were kids. Brody was her brotherโs best friend, and she knew he would never want to date a quiet good girl like her.
This sexy, steam romance is also heartwarming and fun. The family dynamics of both Rachelโs family and Brodieโs family are so much fun. Both Brody and Rachel are wary of relationships due to their past relationships failing so miserably. Brody doesnโt feel like heโs good enough for the good girl, and Rachel doesnโt think sheโs bad enough to catch Brodieโs eye.
This book is fast-paced and well-written. The story grabbed me instantly and I enjoyed the journey as these two broken young people found their way to each other. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
