"Prayers for Wild Animals" is a gorgeous book. This book is a reminder that God made this planet not only for us but for the animals as well. Taking care of our home not only helps us but helps keep the animals safe as well. God created them just like He made us and we should love and respect them as God's creatures. The illustrations are absolutely stunning and this book is all around beautiful and I highly recommend.
Thank you Netgalley for letting me read this book for free.
I loved the illustrations in this book! The book included some long, and some short stories along with short prayers about current issues facing our wildlife. Some of the prayers were based on the Psalms. All of them were beautiful prayers to remind us of our job to care for God's creation. This was a very enjoyable book that I would definitely purchase in hardcopy for myself and as a gift for other animal lovers. Thank you to NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. #PrayersforWildAnimals #NetGalley
I received a free copy of this ARC in exchange for an honest review
A beautifully illustrated picture book about animals sending you off to sleep with prayers for their freedom and safety from poaching...this book appeals to all sorts animal lovers, Christians, sleepy kids, desperate parents, artists, and so forth, very light and very simple yet very powerful.
The illustrations are very pretty. The prayers are I suppose nice and some have an eco message but this isn't really my kind of book. I think if we needed a prayer for an animal assembly the children would write one as they do for harvest etc
I am going to get myself a physical copy of this book when it gets released. I know this is a strange way to start a review but I cannot help myself but express how much I enjoyed reading the PDF version of this book
This is such an amazing book containing prayers for all kinds of animals. Prayers to protect their habitats themselves and ultimately the preservation and flourishing of of the environment. Accompanied by beautiful and colourful illustrations this book was definitely one of the the memorable book of 2021. I was in complete awe reading it.
From terrestrial to aquatic animals this book is a must read for all the kids such as to show them that every animal carries out a important role assigned by the God help the environment. Also to impart knowledge about the impacts and effects of extinction of some of the most important species of the animal kingdom. Read a few pages on the whole book rest assured I can say that it is going to be an impactful read.
Such a precious book!
It's the illustrations that got me so happy. Kids will definitely love this!
The prayers are something we all have seem to have forgotten.
We tend to neglect other beings which are definitely suffering due to our neglect and indifference.
And this little beautiful book of prayers for the wildlife is something we never thought we would need but we do.
Love it.
Such a refreshing book!
Thank you, author/artist and the publisher, for the advance reading copy.
Prayers for Wild Animals is a beautifully written and illustrated book celebrating all creatures great and small. I read it to my 4 year old son and we both really enjoyed it.
Thank you to NetGalley and Lion Hudson Ltd for my ARC.
"I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own."
This book is exactly what it says it is, prayers for wild animals. The accompanying illustrations are sweet and appropriate. My animal loving daughter would have loved this book when she was younger.
This is lovely story for children about god, animals and help keep the environment clean and safe for animals to. The illustrations are beautiful and my favourite is the blue tits. This is educational book I feel and the writing is about right on each page and easy to follow.
Thank you NetGalley for letting me read this book.
All things bright and beautiful,
all creatures great and small,
all things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
That beautiful verse is, of course, included in Preyers for Wild Animals, a child’s delightful introduction to being part of the world of nature. There are four sections: Quiet Green Places, Wild Wide Spaces, Look to the Skies and Hope for our World. The first three, beautifully illustrated by Tina Macnaughton, show gentle animals, small and large, in their habitats. The prayers ask to let children see the miracles of insect and animal life around them. The last section, Hope for our World, encourages children to be responsible stewards of out planet and gives them easy ways to do so. Reduce, reuse and recycle are themes.
Prayers for Wild Animals, by Deborah Lock, is designed to make caring for the world of nature anintegral part of a child’s daily prayers. Two designated sections allow the child to voice his/her own prayers. It’s a thoughtful gift and a book to read aloud and discuss. 5 stars.
Thank you to NetGalley, Lion Hudson LTD, Deborah Lock and Tina Macnaughton for this ARC.
