What a great book for graduating students and people hoping to change jobs for a better position. The book is loaded with great tips and excellent examples. You really can't go wrong with this purchase.

This book leaves a lot to be desired. I suppose it could be helpful to high school kids, but otherwise, I didn't find it useful, however, and wouldn't rely on it to offer much pertinent information. It is quick and does offer examples, which some may find desirable.

This was a very useful book to help me work with my teenagers on their cvs and job interviews.

Very well presented and easy to use.

I was given an advance copy by netgalley and the publishers but the review is entirely my own.

Geared towards jobseekers in the UK, this book serves as an introductory primer for those with little familiarity with the job market. Readers outside of the UK will find some advice not applicable, or worse, completely out-of-touch. Author Mills' background as a recruitment consultant certainly helps bolster her credibility, but occasionally the delivery of advice in the book borders on parental ("if you have bad breath because of dental problems, it is important to see your dentist and get the problem sorted out quickly. Some people have a problem with bad breath because they do not eat properly.") A quick and snappy read, some job-seekers will find the material within helpful, while others may finish feeling overwhelmed or misguided.
