"Santa's Journey" is an absolute delight for both kids and adults alike! This interactive board book takes readers on a magical journey alongside Santa Claus himself, making it the perfect read for the holiday season.
I was captivated by the innovative die-cut design of this book, which creates a layered effect as Santa progresses through his Christmas Eve adventure. From the cozy North Pole to the starry night sky, each page turn reveals a new dimension to the story, adding to the excitement and wonder.
The glittery cover and adorable illustrations immediately drew me in, and the simple rhyming sentences added an extra touch of charm to the storytelling. It's the kind of book that sparks joy and imagination, making it an ideal choice for sharing with little ones during the festive season.
While I wish the story had a bit more depth, the overall experience of reading "Santa's Journey" was thoroughly enjoyable. It's a fun and entertaining book that captures the magic of Christmas in a unique and interactive way.
The perfect festive read for little ones. Ideal fir snuggling up on winter nights. Beautiful. Fun fir the whole family.
3.5 rounded up: This is a short rhyming book about Santa’s work on Christmas Eve. I read this to my 3 year old grandson and he enjoyed it. The text had a nice cadence for a read aloud and it had easy to understand facts about Santa's activities on Christmas Eve. The illustrations were large, vibrant and simple which was attractive to the eye. We had an electronic copy so the experience and fun of the die cuts was not there for us, and I am not sure how he would have reacted to it. A sweet Christmas read.
Santa's journey is a cute book for babies. The illustrations have cut outs that progress with the story. Little ones will enjoy flipping through this book.
This was a great interactive book and I think kids will definitely enjoy reading and playing with this book.
This book is a sweet, easy read all about Christmas! Throw in some adorable illustrations and a fun rhyming scheme and you've got a book kids would love to read before they go to sleep and dream of Santa shimmying down the chimney with their gifts.
Three out of five stars.
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.
Santa lives at the North Pole and this creative, sweet board book allows kids to join him on his magical Christmas Eve journey as he visits homes all around the world.
This interactive, die-cut little gem engages kids and allows them a front row seat on Santa's sleigh as he delivers presents to kids everywhere on his list.
The illustrations are fantastic. They are colourful, detailed and full of holiday spirit. Die-cut parts layer together to finally create a picture of jolly old Santa leaving presents under a decorative holiday tree. The cover twinkles and sparkles with glitter and the rhyming text will be a huge hit with this age group. I highly recommend this book. It's great fun to share.
My toddler and I really enjoyed this book. The illustrations were lovely, and we enjoyed watching Santa and learning about Christmas on every page. This is the kind of book that will be read over and over again.
I got my four year old niece involved and she absolutely loved it.
It is a rhyming book for young children. It's colourful and enjoyable.
It's about what Santa does christmas eve. It's a book I'd use to encourage children to pick up and read. As I said it's colourful so catches your eye and of course Santa is most children's hero.
I loved it
Enjoy!
I could definitely see this in the Christmas Eve box for my Children, they'd love it.
Lovely, rhyming story. Simple enough to read and for children to possibly memorise and recite.
The illustrations are bright and cheery and I loved the added touch of the cut out. Seeing Santa's form build up on the left side, with each turn of the page. Until eventually you get the back of Santa, leaving until next year.
A die-cut board book perfect for the littlest book enthusiasts. The book is the perfect length for short attention spans. The brightly coloured illustrations and how it is written in rhyme will draw children in. My almost 2 and 4 year Olds both thoroughly enjoyed the book (though the oldest would have liked it to be longer.
A great book to read to young ones in the lead up to Christmas, especially those up to the age of 3. Highly recommend as a Christmas present for the babies in your life to be enjoyed for Christmases to come.
Thank you to Netgalley and Quarto Publishing Group – becker & mayer! for the opportunity to review this book
This is a lovely little story about Santa's Journey on Christmas Eve. The rhyming words will thrill young children. The illustrations are cute and in vibrant colours. The board book would be very nice to complete the activities which obviously an ebook cannot. I would recommend this book. It would be a welcome addition to a Christmas Eve Box.
A cute little board book about Santa coming to visit and leave toys on Christmas Eve. The cartoon style illustrations are endearing and the story simple and sweet.
I received an advance copy of, Secrets of the Season: Santa's Journey, by Jennie Bradley. This is a cute book for kids but very short.
A short book about Santa’s work on Christmas Eve for a young audience. The illustrations are very bright and cheery and the text explains simply and effectively what Santa gets up to. The die cuts add an element of fun not experienced in the digital copy I received from NetGalley and publisher in exchange for my review.
5/5 stars.
Very cute rhyming book for young children and I like the cut out design. I thought it was really short and didn't really bring anything new to Santa or Christmas books, but still a cute one to pick up!

I call these objects tools for getting very small hands used to wanting books within their grasp, and this looks like a successful one. A very easily-read rhyme concerning Santa's visit, bright colours and a nice level of detail in the ilustrations, both add to the feel of this object, where die-cut board pages will reveal different levels of detail about the man at every turn, and give the narrative feel of unwrapping a present, pass-the-parcel fashion.
This picture storybook reads just like a season's greeting card and it's just too cute!
Apt for the mentioned age group of zero to five year olds, I feel this one is a good start for the upcoming Christmas holidays!
Thank you, author/artist and the publisher for the advance reading copy.
