Heart wrenchingly beautiful. It will take you through an emotional rollercoaster. It’s such a beautiful story that even after you’re don’t reading the story and characters stay with you.
Let me present you my new fave book by COHO. I like it everyday more. I was so attracted to the main characters. So much respect that I can not describe.
I went blind to read this book and I was so glad I did. No expectations and Ive got so much from this book. Unconditional love rules the world.
I felt everything that is possible. It was so powerful, I cried and I laughed. I was sad, angry and happy. I also loved the mystery inside and I hoped till end that everything would be alright.
Imagine the worse can happend to you when you are 22 years old, you are still healthy but the world you know changed so much and after 5 years you have to fight for get your life back. I just wished I could be so strong and determinated as the MC Keena. And Leadger was just phenomenal.
Just read it.
I am just so happy I could get this arc book. Thank you Kristin Dwyerof Leo PR and netgalley.com.
A mesmerizing tale of love and redemption.
Kenna is freshly out of prison for manslaughter for driving drunk and killing the father of her baby. Now, five years after the accident that killed the love of her life, Kenna has one mission - find a way to be a part of her daughter’s life.
But everyone who knew her boyfriend, Scotty, seems to hate her. Kenna needs to find a way to prove that she’s worthy of meeting Diem, the daughter she gave birth to in prison.
When she finds herself super attracted to the hot, tattooed bartender at the local bar, she thinks he might be a good hook-up, until he says his name, Ledger, and she realizes he’s Scotty’s best friend who she never met because he was away serving in the military. Even though they both know it’s a bad idea, their electric chemistry keeps drawing them together.
Ledger is the perfect book boyfriend. He’s hot, sweet, loves helping people and puts Diem first in his life. Despite who she is, he just can’t keep himself from helping Kenna.
This heartwarming story shows how one bad decision can shatter so many lives, but forgiveness and love can knit them back together.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
5⭐️
Colleen Hoover is one of my favourite authors so I knew I was going to like this book and she did not disappoint!
After a 5 year prison sentence for a heartbreaking mistake, Kenna goes back to the town where her daughter currently lives, in the hope to reunite with her. There she meets Ledger, the only person connected to her daughter who is willing to give her a chance.
I have read almost every book Colleen has released but none of them made me feel pain and sadness like this one.
The story was told in such a heartbreaking but beautiful way that made me not want to put this book down. The plot was quite unique and addicting to read.
The pain and sadness I felt for Kenna while reading this was unreal. Honestly, by 25% into the book I was already crying. I admire Kenna so much. She is so strong and determined to be with her daughter, you can’t help but just love her.
The relationship between Kenna and Ledge developed a little too quickly for my liking and I would’ve preferred it to be a tiny bit more slow burn but there are other themes in this book that Colleen brings our attention to, so the romance isn’t really it’s main focus.
This book really made me reflect a lot on my personal outlook on life and I think books that stay with me in such a huge way just deserve a 5 star rating.
Thank you Leo PR and Amazon Publishing for sending me the ARC of Reminders of Him in exchange for my honest review.
as you all know, i am a huge fan of colleen hoover and i would definitely read all of her works! huge thanks to @amazonpublishing and @leoprny for the ARC.

tw: tragedy, suicide attempt, death
first of all, this book simply described how people cope after their traumatic experiences. some people, like kenna, didn't wanna feel anything because she was so heartbroken. however, some people hold grudges.
♡
after the tragedy, kenna served five years in prison and she had to return to her town after that. she hasn't seen her daughter once because the circumstances wouldn't allow her. she met ledger, the local bar owner, and they hit it off, however, kenna found out that ledger is the only person that links her to her daughter. they're both torn between continuing what they already have or sacrifice one over the other.
♡
i love how raw and honest the emotions are in this book. kenna isn't a reckless mother. in fact, she's really happy that someone is taking care of her daughter because she wasn't lucky in that part.
♡
as always, colleen never disappoints. she will always be my most favorite author and i cannot wait for the world to read this book! it comes out in january 2022! 💙🦋
Geez CoHo, I feel like I’ve had my heart ripped out of chest, stomped on, & then put on ice.
Aside from the heartache that I feel, this book left me speechless.. literally speechless. I definitely think it’s one of those books that I’ll be thinking about for a long long time.
Wow. Wow. Wow. This book, was everything. I don't know how Colleen comes up with these stories and characters but my life wouldn't be as complete without them. This story felt so true and so vivid, I couldn't put this book down, I read it everywhere. I don't want to give too much away because I think everyone needs to read this but just damn. Not only is it incredibly inspiring but its even more heartbreaking. Heartbreaking should be CoHo's middle name at this point.
Loved. This. Book. Everyone. Read. It.
Thank you Colleen Hoover, Amazon Publishing and netgalley for the incredible privilege of being able to read and review this.
Prepare to binge read!! I sat down and four hours later I was left an emotional wreck. Colleen Hoover makes it so easy to just sit down and completely devour her books.
There's not much I can say regarding the plot because personally I believe that the best way to read a CoHo is by going in completely blind, or knowing as little as possible about the plot BUT if you must know something, Reminders of Him is about a young mother fighting for a chance to be a part of her young daughters life. That's all I can say without giving too much away!
While I LOVED the romantic arc between Kenna and Ledger, I found myself more invested in Kenna's personal and emotional journey. It was so easy to get captivated by her life and I found it easy to root for her. She's one of those characters you wish you could just protect from the rest of the world. Her life was equal parts heartbreaking and heartwarming. I'm basically just obsessed with this book.
Colleen Hoover better pay for my therapy after what this book just put me through. I actually tend to have a love/hate relationship with Colleen Hoover books, This book however was perfect in every way possible. I felt extremely connected to the main characters, and genuinely found myself wanting to understand what it would feel like to be in their shoes. A masterpiece story that shows trauma bonding, PTSD, mental health issues, with so much more and just the perfect amount of romance sprinkled on top. This is definitely a story you will never forget,
‘Maybe the best way to cope with the loss of the people we love is to find them in as many places and things as we possibly can. And in the off chance that the people we lose are still somehow able to hear us, maybe we should never stop talking about them.’
*Chefs kiss ..5 stars! * And…right here is the reason why, after nearly 10 years, we will always be excited about a new release from Colleen Hoover. Her love stories come infused with a mixture of humour, sadness, deep-felt emotion, wonderfully relatable characters, and of course the sublime writing of this incredible author. What’s not to love? Colleen Hoover’s books are a reader’s dream, and we will forever devour every word she writes.
‘I feel like the words I’m about to say are the most important words that will ever come from me. I wish I was more prepared.’
Reminders of Him is an achingly emotion fuelled story of love, loss, second chances, and forgiveness told through the eyes of Kenna Rowan, who has recently been released after serving 5 years in prison, and Ledger Ward, the wonderful man so intrinsically tied to her past and present.
‘We’re all just a bunch of sad people doing what we have to do to make it until tomorrow.’
After the death of her boyfriend Scotty, and the completion of her prison sentence, Kenna returns to Scotty’s hometown in the hope of being allowed access to her daughter, who has been cared for in the last 5 years by Scotty’s parents, however, they have no intention of allowing Kenna access to her daughter. It’s a gut-wrenching situation and one that broke our hearts.
‘Grudges are heavy, but for the people hurting the most, I suppose forgiveness is even heavier.’
Not wanting to give away anything about the story, we promise this book will seep into your heart and soul. It’s a story you’ll be reflecting on, and feeling, long after closing the last page. And oh, that last page!! So beautiful, even whilst reading it through a flood of tears. We were left as emotionally drained, as we were emotionally fulfilled.
“Please don’t,” I whisper. “It hurts enough already.”
“I know. I’m sorry.”
The family dynamics were perfectly balanced, and the conflicted feelings between all the characters, especially Ledge, had our stomachs and hearts twisting in emotional turmoil. We understood every single feeling, we felt every single emotion. It was torture – but the good kind, where you know the pain will be worth it in the end.
‘I don’t like that the one person I dislike most in this world reminds me of the person I love the most.’
We don’t know how Colleen Hoover does it. How does she manage to tell story after story and each one feels so unique, so fresh, yet so ‘Colleen’. Reminders of Him is a must-read for all Colleen Hoover fans. And if you’ve never experienced this author’s genuine, heartfelt romances, then you need to get on the ‘Hoover Train’ immediately! Start with this book, and you’ll know exactly what we mean!
Bravo! For this all-encompassing, superbly written, and incredibly moving read! 5 unforgettable stars!
‘.. moments like these remind me that happiness isn’t some permanent thing we’re all trying to achieve in life, it’s merely a thing that shows up every now and then, sometimes in tiny doses that are just substantial enough to us going.’
A huge thank you to Amazon Publishing for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review!

CW: car accident, suicide attempt, death (off page)
What I LOVED: This easily makes it to my top favorite CoHo books of all time! I feel like as I get older, the more I empathize on adult issues like parental rights and motherhood. Also, a lot of the problems the main lead was going through were heartbreakingly similar to the ones I’m going through in my life right now so that’s why I felt everything so much more deeply reading this.
What I love the most about CoHo’s books is the rollercoaster of complicated emotions you feel from reading it. With this, there were moments where I felt so sad and heartbroken that I’ll be bawling my eyes out, then the next I’ll be smiling over something wholesome and heartwarming and next thing you know I want to throw my kindle or punch a wall from how angry and frustrated I felt about the major conflict in this story.
Another thing I love about CoHo’s characters is how much you end up rooting for them despite their mistakes but also understanding the conflicted feelings others have towards them to the point that you’re at a loss on which side to go for.
What I LIKED: I love all the characters in this! I think that one way or another you can find someone or something in everyone to relate to.
But special mention to Roman. He was such an MVP in this book from the way he would say things that JUST MAKE SENSE and that he was on the side of WHAT is right and not WHO is right. And I basically just enjoyed every moment he was in.
What I DIDN’T ENJOY: The miscommunication, assumptions and gaslighting that went on for so long. It was so painful reading this knowing that it was something I personally experience in my family life.
THIS BOOK IS PERFECT FOR: I have no doubts that fans of Colleen Hoover will love this! If you love stories that explore themes involving family, motherhood, lost, grief and second chances then I highly recommend this!
Wow. Talk about a book that touched my heart and soul! Told from two distinct perspectives and voices there were times I had to stop reading to finish crying. And yet through the sorrow I felt hope. This is a fabulous book ans no one is better than Colleen
Can I give more than 5 stars?!?
Colleen Hoover does it again. She made me fall in love with these characters and made me smile while also ripping my heart out. Such a beautiful story of guilt, shame, and hurt with the beautiful message of grace, forgiveness, and understanding. It was so easy to relate to each and every character and be torn by who's "side" you were on. You wanted them all to get what they wanted, but knew that wasn't fully possible and they would have to find some sort of compromise. I have yet to meet a CoHo that I don't love. So grateful to have had the opportunity to read this advanced copy and I cannot wait to receive my preordered physical copy!
Colleen Hoover’s witting always leaves me breathless and Reminders of Him is no exception! All Kenna wants is to be is reunited with her daughter after spending five years in prison for tragic mistake—a mistake that has everyone determined to keep Kenna out of her daughter’s life. But a connection with Ledger Ward (seriously, what a good name!), local bar owner and family friend to the people taking cared her daughter, might just be the second chance she needs. This book is tragic, there are so many misunderstandings that lead to tragedy from so many angles and Kenna is left in the wreckage of every one. She is strong and brave, and yet so lonely and broken. Ledger is so wonderful, and his relationship with Kenna’s daughter is stunning—I couldn’t get enough of it!Everything is so fluid and the writing is so beautiful. This book is complicated and sad and both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Kenna is an unbelievably amazing heroine, her tenacity for what’s best for her daughter is breathtaking. The development and complexity of this story makes it hard to put down! The writing, the characters, and the emotion is just perfect. Colleen Hoover has a way of making you feel every emotion and leaving you with such peace and beauty as her book end, I felt so full after finishing this book!
Thank you Montlake Romance for providing a book in exchange for an honest review.
Reminders of Him gives a classic Colleen Hoover emotional romance. It reminds me back on the year when I first read and made me love her books. I had a good cry in the middle of the night.
Kenna Rowan is free after 5 years of imprisonment. A tragedy hits her life and she's sentenced for a crime. It was a misunderstanding and she's longing for her four year old daughter. She has nobody and reconnecting to her child's father's seems impossible. Her determination and courage to seek forgiveness and explain her story is through Ledger Ward, her ex-boyfriend's best friend.
Ledger owns the bar. At first, he is unaware of Kenna's identity and he's fascinated by her mysteriousness. However, such revelation puts him in a complicated situation. Especially when he's protective and cares for the welfare of his best friend's family, particularly on his best friend's daughter. The story centers on grief, forgiveness and family relationship. It was beautifully told and it is a tear-jerker. The best way to dive in this book is to go blindly. I sympathize with the characters and I feel utmost respect for what Kenna has been through. Her character development is great and I love her.
Overall, this is a standout and worth the hype. I hope you'll enjoy this book as much as I did. Prepare some tissues. Just in case it'll make you cry.
I am once again (not surprised though) in love with a Colleen Hoover book.
As always - I go into a Colleen book blind and I am so glad I did. I would say this - the angst level in this book is at an all-time high.
I swear I had a sore throat for days after reading because of the lump in my throat while reading.
Getting to know these characters while reading made me want to be a better person. Both Kenna and Ledger will teach you something with their words, actions, and being.
Be prepared to ride the emotional rollercoaster that is a Colleen Hoover book because this might be the best rollercoaster I have ever been on and I want to ride it again!
You know it's a great book when you are finished and you just wish you could feel it all again for the first time!
I adored this book and its characters! I loved the letters that Kenna wrote to Scotty throughout the book to give us some insight to their relationship. I was hooked the whole time, but the end felt a bit rushed to me. I wish more time was spent with the the new relationship between Kenna and Scottys parents.
rating : 4.75 / 5
i don’t think i’ve ever cried this much over a book in so long. idek why i’m surprised, it’s literally a book written by colleen hoover
this book was so beautiful and heartbreaking. i really cried my eyes out for kenna, she deserves all the hugs out there in the world. this girl, who was simply misunderstood and ignored, did not deserve all the hate that was coming at her
GAWD THOSE MFING LETTERS MAN those letters will be the cause of my death istg. i didn’t sob for every letter, but i definitely did shed a tear or two
this book really makes you strongly sympathize with the characters☹️☹️ really can’t wait for you guys to get your hands on this and ball your eyes out❤️❤️if you end up not shedding a single tear, i’m honestly very concerned for you. this is the type of book that has you sobbing with snot coming out of your nose, so have those tissues near by !!
idk if it’s bc i haven’t read a colleen book in a while that i can’t really properly compare it to the others?? but reminders of him is definitely my top book by her as of now. also, now that i’m thinking of it, i never really balled my eyes out for her other popular books, so i think that says smth…
if you haven’t yet, go ahead and preorder this🕺
Oh my goodness Colleen Hoover just rips your heart out every time!
I struggled with who I felt more sorry for and who was in the right with this story. Was it fair how the Landry’s treated Kenna or did she deserve a second chance?
I’m happy with how it ended but it honestly could have went a bunch of dollars ways and I just wasn’t sure what the ultimate decision was going to be.
I cried so much with this one and had so many emotions I didn’t know what to do with.
CoHo fans be prepared for another emotional roller coaster from our favorite author.
