This is an enjoyable psychological thriller. The characters are really interesting. I really liked the twists and turns. I loved the setting and that worked so well.
The Harvard Curse has a small cast of characters, pursued and pursuing, they attract and repel, they celebrate irrationality, obsession and emotional anarchy. These characters wouldn't have been out of place in the dark fiction of Patricia Highsmith, and one in particular reminded me of Winston Graham's iconic Marnie, but Martin Chevreau makes us, the readers, complicit to their subversive charm as they retreat from reality to evade captivity but not themselves.
I love books set on a school campus. Maybe it reminds me of my youth? Not sure, but they are definitely one of my 'Yes, I'll read that' genres.
This mystery/mild thriller was very entertaining. I zipped right through it as I was so interested to find out what happened to the missing trio.
There are a few unexpected twists that were delightful and a bit shocking.
My only drawbacks for this one: the chapters were a little wordy and sometimes the scenes were referenced twice so that the reader would get multiple POV's. I understand the need for it but it can get very redundant.
If you are a mystery fan, this is a fun one.

Disturbing, Dark Edge…
Unexplained disappearances at the end of a 2019 Autumn term at Harvard are soon to be dubbed as ‘The Harvard Curse’ by media sensationalists. But, what really happened? Secrets will be revealed in this engaging, well written, well researched mystery with a disturbing, dark edge and a credible cast of characters.
An enjoyable mystery psych thriller with some really interesting characters playing parts in a story of obsession and grief.
I really liked the twisty sense of it and especially liked the point of view of one particular character that had a disturbing voice in her obsessive and stalkerish nature.
I do love a university setting and this was a good one with a cleverly horrible ending that was satisfying and disturbing
Yes. Good. Will look forward to more from this author.
I love books that can fall under dark academia and this was no exception a really good suspenseful read with dark undertones and a great setting
